I just signed up for NM Surf's 100 Megabit service recently available in Galisteo, and I am very pleased so far. Horacio came out to install last week and he was fast and efficient, and very personable. So far the speeds are great, 10 to 20 times faster than my prior Century Link connection, and while the system did drop once for about 10 minutes, it's been excellent overall. Since sign up we have had the speed and connectivity promised to us, unlike other companies we have used before. Travis did a great job installing the system and getting us connected. He called ahead, arrived on time and got on with the install right away. A short while later and we're connected. Speeds look good, response is snappy and we're much happier than we were with our previous satellite provider. read more

Is CNSP perfect? No. Are they responsive? Yes. There is no Comcast cable in my area and DSL from CenturyLink is a joke at 1.4mbps. I live in Santa Fe county and have line of sight to the SF Ski mountain and the CNSP tower located there. The speeds vary a great deal depending on time of day but normally run from 2.5mbps minimum up to 10mbps, with a normal average of around 6mbps. If there is an outage or extremely slow speed issue an email to support usually gets it fixed within a few hours. Not perfect, but the best available to me at this time. read more

I was a user of NMSurf for about 6 months. A week before Christmas NMSurf shutdown my internet. I was downloading games to a PS for my kids and they decided to turn me down Friday night without notice. After complaining, cancelling my service and leaving honestly poor reviews of this terrible company. I was harassed by representatives same as other reviewers to get it removed. read more

no stars contract is up and I discontinued. Their $25.00 a month is a scam. They charged me $59.00 after tax and lease of equipment. And $50.00 to remove it from the roof .,which I had already done. Then I call about the final bill they blocked my call so I could not talk to anyone. I'll be calling BBB also! read more

3 years of the worst service and promises that were never kept. Don't use these folks. Try Higherspeed Internet out of Moriarity if you need service in areas that seem to be only served by CNSP. Very poor customer service, you can't get to a manager, my speed test (dozens of them) rarely achieved any level I paid for. One sided contract says though you pay for a certain level of speed, we don't guarantee any speed at all...Nothing but a lot of wasted time with this company. I'm getting great service with no issues with HigherSpeed Internet, I just wish I knew they existed before I thought CNSP was my only option. read more

They had bad attitude when they arrived would not listen. Had to asked to leave my property. Who ever trained these people should be fired. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! NM Surf is great -- my Download speed went up around 44% and Upload speed increased about 5x. Installation was fast and easy with Tyler and Eduardo. Found out NM Surf also does VOIP phone for landlines -- which means that I can get rid of Century Link completely. Oh Happy Day! read more

Well, 3 calls later and promises of getting back to me with some information I've yet to get a call. I don't know where everyone's favorite guy Sean is, but Will doesn't get back to you. Started out good and then went downhill. Used to get fine high speed connection, up to 30 MBs download, now I can barely get 5 MBs. The support used to be good, now it is terrible. Sean is pretty good, although slow to return calls, and then there is Will, who is like a robot. Does not listen, and is clueless about how to problem solve. Been with the for 3 years. Extremely unresponsive customer support - except when it comes to collecting. Even then they have their billing system all screwed up and are just not bothered to fix it. I have paid every month and yet I keep getting bills to which and they keep adding amounts out of thin air. Their service has been intermittent and I just switched back to Cybermesa. Cybermesa is cheaper and much more responsive and are interested in customer retention. If you haven't signed up with CNSP then don't. If you have then bide your time until your contract is up. read more

I live in Eldorado and the internet service is incredibly fast and without interruption. I was concerned that I would lose service after a heavy rain or snowfall, no problems at all. NMSurf offers an excellent Internet alternative to cable, satellite and DSL in Santa Fe. If you have a line of sight to one of their towers you can get outstanding service at a very reasonable price. Although our home is within the Santa Fe city limits, like many we have no cable or DSL service available to us at all, and the new generation of satellites that now provide high speed Internet to both coasts do not serve New Mexico; because they don't have to. NMSurf has recently introduced a new 50Mbps service that operates in the 5Ghz radio band and provides the sort of solid performance you would expect from the big cable companies. The current generation of wifi network gear also operates in the 5Ghz band, which creates the potential for interference and degraded performance. I had some trouble with this during my first couple of weeks with the 50Mb service and it finally turned out that the interference was from somewhere on the NMSurf side of the dish rather than from my home network equipment. I had to be persistent with my service request but the NMSurf technical support group demonstrated a high level of expertise and since they got my configuration right I have been SO DELIGHTED with their service; and I am a finicky customer. If you can see an NMSurf tower from where you are in the Santa Fe area, you should let them hook you up! read more

Learn from others mistakes and steer clear of CNSP. It should stand for "Can Not Service Professionally" in my opinion. These people are the worst and biggest liars I have ever seen. They claim theirs is a prepaid service: that is, if you quit paying, they cut you off, but they still keep on billing you when no service is provided. But I digress, so here goes: I work with small businesses who need to be on the web. Well CNSP's service was down again and I called to tell them and immediately they start saying that the problem must be in our computer as everything is working fine on their end. Anyway, their "tech" told me I had to change my network settings, I told him every computer had it's own connection and no way would the network settings change for every computer overnight. OK, so I played along with him who was now having a hissy fit cause I disrespected his authority. I, being suspicious of CNSP by now, changed nothing and tried the connection again and it worked (on all of our computers, which shows what inept liars they are), so they obviously knew their system was whacked, fixed it, and tried to cover up even knowing about it with some "you need to check your network settings on every computer or we can't help you" story. When I confronted the techie with the fact that I had not changed or resaved my network settings on any of our machines and that he must have just fixed something he refused to talk anymore unless there was something else that was not working that he could "help" me with. What is CNSP thinking? Not everyone, not even my house-wife and house-husband clients, is a newbie who will easily fall prey to such tricks and then drool all over the supposed genius techie for saving their dumb self. After that experience, I easily persuaded my clients to switch to the phone company and they've had zero problems since. read more

I have not been happy with my service. It regularly acts up, they blame my new router. They called me to pitch a much higher speed at a "low" price if I signed a contract. Since I signed the contract, I can detect no improvement in the service, which is frequently out and which still stops dead for streaming. I call. I complain politely. Before I found NM Surf my ISP was Windstream. Their products and services are horrible, not to mention the price they charge for what their customers get. A friend of mine suggested that I switch providers. Well took the plunge! They are not the cheapest ones out there to get your service up and running, but it is well worth the expense! The customer service reps are awesome and their Installation technician Tyler was friendly, professional and got my installation done quickly. The physical Installation was lousy - they will run a screw in w/o benefit of a drill, splitting woodwork. I had to go up and fix it myself. Service is lousy - it goes down during storms and they have tower problems every 5-6 weeks. Their own phone service is apparently tied in with their own service - I have had it go down so completely that they were unreachable - no phone, no web site, no nothing - almost like they skipped town (that's when I called my credit card company). Service slows down to a crawl often, and tell users to use a jiggered speed test site, lately starting to cite all sorts of stuff about "hops" as to why your download speed is 40 kbs instead of the 3 Mbs you pay for - a pretty clear reaction to a lot of customer complaints about speed. Funny that Century Link, whose service CNSP is actually reselling, does not do that. I finally hit the roof, archived a bunch of failed speed test results just in case, and told them they were in breach of their contract for failure to provide service and to come get their antenna. I got no formal response, but after over six weeks a couple of guys came out, unannounced, entered my property without permission, and removed the antenna. CNSP then billed me a $50 "pickup fee" for the privilege. They did not remove the ethernet cable. I then got an e-mail saying my account was closed. I paid them, just to get rid of them. Now I still continue to receive invoices, months later. I ignore them. If you close your account with these jokers, be sure to change your credit card account number! So much for buying "Burque." read more
