Shockingly bad "service." It was so bad I had to write a letter to their regional management in Albuquerque. Avoid at all costs. I wanted to switch my tablet plan from AT&T to T-Mobile. I did some research ahead of time and settled on their $20/mo unlimited iPad plan that didn't require a phone line. I dropped in on a Friday afternoon and the place was a mess. Tons of angry people waiting and only two people on the floor. Unbelievable. After waiting for 20 mins I left for another appointment. I came back later in the afternoon to a similar situation. Lots of angry people waiting, almost no employees. I decided to just stomach it, added my name to the queue, and sat quietly at a table surfing the internet. I proceeded to wait for almost 1 1/2 hours. There were 3 workers there, but they would only put 2 on the floor at a time. Everyone was pissed. One lady had enough and left. Employees were taking absurd amounts of time with each customer, totally oblivious to other waiting guests. Finally my turn came up. I showed the clerk the $20/mo tablet plan I wanted, and he said "That's only if you have a phone with us. Without a phone it's $65." I explained to him that I had researched this plan and pulled up the T-Mobile website. There wasn't anything about needing a phone line. Not on the plan page, not in the fine print, not even in the PDF "terms of service". Nothing. When I asked him to show me where it says a phone line is necessary, he couldn't. He just kept barking "It's $65" at me over and over again like a robot, in an incredibly rude and snarky way. I was completely taken aback. I had been waiting for over 1 1/2 hours. I told him that I'd appreciate a little less attitude and he started screaming at me, and then said "I'm not serving you!" and moved to someone else. It truly amazes me that T-Mobile would allow a store like this under the brand. Given the amount of 1-star reviews here on Yelp, it's clear that I'm not the only one who had a terrible experience. read more

I have this service for over three years and the service has been just ok and live able with. the service has gotten so bad that I cannot view a Netflix movie without getting frozen from. this organization has made it impossible to reach out for support and I finally did reach to an individual that could not understand English. for those who are thinking of using this service, please consider otherwise, they do not honor anything and will push you under the bus! Update.. just on hold for 30 minutes and I was just hung up on. This is not a good service/move to make for stable internet in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I called customer service when I cancelled my account to find out how much my last bill would be. They told me my bill on my regular billing date in July would be the last one and since I have auto pay, I figured all was well. After that bill was paid, I got an additional bill that was marked past due. So they lied to me and inconvenienced me and made a mark on my perfect payment record. I switched to this company because a friend swore by their customer service, I'm not impressed. read more

I am absolutely horrified by the customer service at this location. I have been a T-mobile customer for about 13 years and this is the first time that I can truly say I may completely leave this organization after dealing with the staff members at this location. They treated me so horribly that I can't even put it in to words. All I went in to the store to do was activate the SIM card on my new device. They refused to do it after an hour an a half of waiting patiently. I then proceeded to call customer service when I saw they truly were not going to assist me regardless of the information I provided and that's how I got my service onto the SIM card. As an African American woman this experience was more traumatic, because they proceeded to ostracize me and laugh amongst themselves when I began to question why they wouldn't assist. I am absolutely horrified by this experience. Frankly I would advise a serious investigation into the code of ethics within T-mobile and see if the individuals at this location are meeting even the minimum standards. read more

Company was pretty good for most of the 17 years I was a customer. Service area is limited but every few years they upgrade their network, making whatever phone I was using obseleteand unusable, requiring me to get a new phone. Recently purchased one through an offer but got the old bait-and-switch. Thought I was paying for $100 of service on my current plan and would get a free phone. Instead, I paid $100 for a new number which I didn't need, want, or will use, so I paid $100 for a new phone and no extra service. When I tried to get a partial refund, I was assured I would get one but didn't because no store or agent would do it. It was a constant process of distraction and misdirection. I just got more broken promises and lies. People at the stores were only concerned with making a sale, not helping me. One was even outright rude before we even got started, the store on St. Michaels Dr. I've never experienced this with T-mobile before and I'm more than furious about it. I've never felt so unvalued and ripped-off as a long-time customer. I am looking for a way out. I suggest you, the reader, never get started. read more

I am frankly surprised at this review...I found the Cerrillos/Zafarano store FAR superior to the St. michaels store. Far superior. I was helped immediately. The young man who helped me had been there 3 years. He was calm, polite and very knowledgeable. So buck up folks! Gotta say that I'm surprised by the negative reviews. Specifically-- 1) Coverage: We've had T-mobile for 2 years now here in Santa Fe. My coverage is better than Verizon's, and as good as my former AT&T phone. 2) Service: People at the store have been unfailingly polite and helpful. The proof? In the northern New Mexico area, all providers have poor service as the greenies are afraid of RF radiation and prevent enough towers. I understand a new government ruling is fixing this. My new T-mobile coverage is as good as my work Verizon phone and better in some areas. I had to ditch ATT due to them cutting off my data as it was roaming data. At this store, Jason was very helpful friendly and knowledgeable. The other staff seemed the same. No data pro ------ Update, they just came up with a smoking Veteran discount. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico and the service here is inferior at best. T Mobile customer service was great at first and very diligent about getting my service to work better and kept recommending different phones to try over the course of 6 months. When it was finally obvious that it was not the phone that was causing the problems (after trying 4 different phones), it was the carrier, I left and they were great about it until 2 months later I started getting bills that made no sense. They charged me for 2 of the phones and never told me and also charged me for the booster they sent me even though when I asked them if there was anything else I needed to do to terminate, they said no. Hence, 2 months later, I received a two invoices totaling $900.00. I did not receive any guidance from them, even when I asked. It felt like I was dealing with a Used Car sales company rather than a reputable Cell phone carrier. Be careful what they promise vs. what they deliver. Their service was useless in the Santa Fe area. 30% of my calls dropped and 30% of my texts would not go through and I live in the downtown area. read more

I've been a T-Mobile customer for more than 15 years and have never had this bad of service or there the lack of. However my most recent trip to the store at 4056 Cerrillos Rd. was the worst experience I've ever had with T-mobile. I went in to buy 2 new I phones and an apple watch. The person I encountered was rather rude and disrespectful. When I asked any questions he'd just reply with go on you- tube as though he couldn't be bothered. Once he was done swiping my credit card and setting my phone up to start transferring. He went in the back. When he came back out he told me that he was being forced to go on his break. I asked if someone else would be helping me as I had a lot of questions being that I was switching from an android to an I phone. He simple ignored me and walked out. Now I don't know if his attitude was so condescending because we are seniors or if it was because we are a same sex couple. However what I do know is that this is not common practice for T-mobile. I am so very disappointed and embarrassed for this store. I also want to mention that no-one else offered to help I guess because they were helping other customers. Anyway I ended up going to the store on St Michaels to get all the help I needed. They were so helpful, courteous and patient, that they will be the store I'll deal with moving forward. read more

First time having to go to a Tmobile store and it a experience horrible. I've just moved to Santa fe for work, but I wanted to trade in my iphone 4 and for iphone 6. First time was here was to check out the iphone 6 to see which one I wanted and updated my data plan. They didnt have any i6 in stock , which was ok because I would have time to read reviews about the i6. Came back couple of weeks later to place an order for the iphone 6 64 GB. I couldn't placed the order online because my shipping is going to be different fro my billing address. A week before I came in, I emailed the associate who helped me who the first time, to see if they have any 64 GB in stock. NEVER got a reply, but when i came into the store he remembered my email and told me I would have to order the 64gb. THEN THE TROUBLE STARTED 1) I wanted to pay the phone in full. The associate never asked me that, he had to go back in the comp and change the order. At the end, i asked for a receipt, but was told it was sent thru email (ok)... 2) Checked my email when I got home, the order was WRONG. he ordered me the 16gb and selected the 1-2 day shipping ( $25 charge vs the ground for $6). Although he did say that any shipping cost will be refund after 3months due to the i6 being backordered. So I wasnt mad about the shipping (UNTIL I had called tmobile and found there was no refund for shipping).... 3) Went back to the store the same day, to tell them they placed the wrong order. (DO NOT COME IN THE AFTERNOON, THERE WILL BE A LINE!). I had to wait in line for 20-30 min. I got a different associate this time, he had to call their support line to cancel the order. He gave me cancellation number, and told me new order can be placed after the cancellation is completed about 24-48 hr. I should get a text about the cancellation. 4) The next 2 days I was getting emails/text "Thanking me for the order and that my order will be shipping soon" and nothing about the cancellation. I called Tmobile to see what was going on. I was told the cancellation was placed under a DIFFERENT line on my account. Even though, there is only one order on my account. WTF! Summary: I basically spent the whole day day in this store trying to placed an phone order, WHICH I COULD DO IN 5 MIN AT HOME), BUT GOT NOTHING DONE. They sound nice and helpful, but spent too much time pushing for financing on phones, accessories and insurances INSTEAD of getting the essential info correctly. THIS WAS A STRAIGHT FORWARD TRANSACTION, BUT I HAD TO GO TO THE STORE TWICE AND NOW CALL TMOBILE TWICE JUST TO ORDER A PHONE! read more

T-Mobile keeps promising better coverage but it hasn't happened yet. Only two bars in front of their store. my friends with Verizon report much better coverage. For example on my phone in Galisteo there is no coverage. While my friend sitting next to me same location with Verizon is ok. Only two stars because in northern New Mexico coverage is almost nonexistent. My wife spent seven hours at the store trying to get her information transferred to a new phone. there is lots of room for improvement. read more

Although I had done my research, I still wanted a few answers about the iPhone vs. Android Galaxy. Scott answered those questions -- plus! Once I chose the iPhone, he set up EVERYTHING. T-Mobile' outsourced call center, costumer service phone line, and chat are a joke. Spent the first hour on the phone with someone that I could barely understand their English and who could barely understand me trying to upgrade my phone. After an hour, she had to pass me off to her "supervisor" who barely spoke English and made me repeat all the information I had just provided to the previous representative. It was like starting from scratch. After another hour on the phone with this guy, right at the very end when he was taking my payment info, he hangs up on me!!! He has my number, but do you think he called me back? Nope. I then went into T-Mobile on Cerrillos rd. in person, who of course would not honor the $500.00 discount that the other representative had offered (even though I had proof in the emailed transcript of our conversation). Horrible service go to ABQ instead...its worth not being insulted. I called to ask if they have a phone in stock and was left on hold for 15 mins and never returned. Decided to just go into the store and things got worse. All I wanted was a JUMP! upgrade with deferred trade in as it was going to be a gift (this can be done online without a sales rep). They said no they needed to see the phone because its a matter of their integrity to inspect the phone basically saying they did not trust me a customer of 17+ years even though my account would be charge $$ if I returned a defective phone. Funny thing I called 2 stores in ABQ they both were able to confirm their inventory without a 15+ min hold time and without saying I was dishonest about my phones condition. They also happily & eagerly offered to upgrade as a deferred return through their store since the Santa Fe location would not. They were very accomodating and happy to have my service read more

My service at the store was pleasant enough, that's not where the problem lies.... It's the AWFUL coverage or connectivity ( whatever you would like to call it). Mother of god, it is thee worst. I live in Nambe= no service. Espanola= sometimes and the same with Santa Fe!!! Really? Santa Fe? Possible ability to use phone and apps? I have talked to a rep multiple times. And again, they were polite but each time we would be on the brink of solving an issue (inability to use phone service I was paying for or partial refund for inability to use service) I was transferred! Like out of the blue, no warning. 4+ transfers and 2 hours later I had myself a $10 credit to my bill. Sweet thanks. DONOT USE T-MOBILE!! The people there are friendly, knowledgeable (you should do your homework prior to going) and are willing to help out much as they can. I have gone to them doing things from changing phone numbers to getting new phones to working through issues with a phone. I have always had a helpful person that tries to make things happen. I know they get busy and if you are patient, they will get to you as quickly as they can but they will never rush a customer out just to get to you quicker. read more

They have 'expert' who claims to have with more than 20 years of experience in cell phone service, but never knows that iphone 5 bought from Walmart with Straight Talk plan doesn't have a Sim card. I failed to transfer my phone number since this 'expert' insisted to have the Sim card number, although I could provide the account number, which is required on T-mobile website for number transfer service. read more

Worst service I have ever had. Went in to transfer 5 lines from Verizon and wasted five hours. The salesman I had was hung over and apologized for it after running my credit 5 different times and using The f letter word over and over on front of my mother in-law stand next to me. They called over a second salesman that said he was going to give us hard numbers because the first salesman could not tell us what are monthly payments would be. After about 3 hours and still not giving Is a definite answer to how much we would be paying monthly I left my wife and daughter there cause I needed the restroom and could not use the restrooms at that facility because they said they did not have. REALLY! So when I returned they said that I had to pay $4000 and turn in my phones. And this was with their so called FREE iPhone 11 at this point I was done there is no free phone or free line. After speaking to the manager about the whole thing he just said it is what it is. What has happened to our customer service? it's all a monopoly for t-mobile. They will never have my business! Total frustration...live in Taos and have traveled to Santa Fe several times (no store in Taos area) j with problems..each time person I delt with was fine but problems just kept happening,Today I called because because I am unable to use phone at all, was given and 800 number to call T Mobil troubleshooting dept but they could not help without the last 4 digits of social security number, could not give them this over the phone because it belongs to my son who lives in California and is unavailable( tried to call, got voice mail message that he was unavailable) basically the girl who ans phone did not want to deal with me and would not even try to help, So in mean time here I sit with a phone I can not use, what a pain. My choice is to drive hour and a half at least to Santa Fe with my rotten phone because they do have this information, or wait till son calls to be able to have my phone checked by T Mobil over my other phone (Verizon cell). What really makes me unhappy is the fact that this store could not wait to upgrade me and sell me the most expensive phone they had at the time, but all this niceness is only if I walk in with my phone and do not have a serious problem. Have already given all the needed information to Santa Fe store in order to buy more expensive phone, but they can not help when there is a problem with providers service I guess.
