I have to say the first time I came here for a foot massage about 6 months ago, it started really well and then it switched to a guy and when we got to the massage part on my back, I was in agonizing pain. It was way too rough. Tonight I went through a break up and really wanted to release some toxins and bad juju so I decided to give this place another try, booked a 60 minute foot massage and requested a lady. She did such an amazing job and actually I started crying because I felt like I was just like releasing all the bad stuff and she asked if I wanted an additional 30 minutes to make it the 90 minute king massage and I'm so glad that I said yes because they use oil on your back and the hot stones and she did such an amazing job. It was probably one of the top three best massages I've ever gotten. Her name was Anna and she was incredible. I will definitely be returning. She is the only reason I'm giving 5 stars. On a sidenote, the man who was there, for the first 30 minutes of the foot massage part, was so loud clearing his throat, clearing his sinuses, opening candy wrappers, etc It was so distracting and disruptive when I'm trying to relax during massage, but luckily eventually stopped, but if you're the only one there at 9 o'clock at night and someone's eating candy with loud wrappers and clearing their throat, it's not a good vibe for the people paying money to be in a relaxing environment. My first thought was that $100 is surprisingly inexpensive for a massage for two people. So if you are looking for a massage on a budget, this place may be for you. This is a small business, but it is located in a large plaza with plenty of spaces for parking. The spa itself is laid out simply, with semi-private spaces separated by curtains. My bf enjoyed the massage, as he enjoys massages that apply a lot of pressure. I can't say the same for myself. I told my masseuse a few times that it was too hard, and I requested for lighter pressure. It was still too much for me, and I kept bracing myself throughout the session. I would say that No. 1 Heath Spa is perfect for those who want an intense massage that almost breaks you. The most painful massage I've ever had in my life. I braced myself, winced, moved away from the masseuse during my massage and he would not let up even after a couple requests to have less pressure. While on my back the only thing that was pleasant was the cranial part of the massage. At the front desk, the girl immediately asked me -- the very first question -- how much tip I wanted to leave. When I said $10, she gave me a look and said, "He worked so hard." I have been driving to S Orange County a couple times this week, and a lot Of gardening. My lower back was killing me. My usual spot was booked so I tried this place. I called snd they got me right in. I did 1 hr 15 mins with Mark. I told them I wanted someone strong and he was really good. Everything was tight and I feel much better. The place is clean and there are curtains between the private rooms. Price was 60.00 which was reasonable I always tip really well. I for sure will be coming to see Mark again soon. A perfect experience, great environment, beautiful music, clean room, I had a 90-minute full body massage, 75 dollars, very reasonable price, the most important thing is that the masseuse is so professional, my neck, shoulders and back are very painful because of work, the masseuse has done a lot of conditioning and stimulation of these areas. We had a couples 60 minute massage and it was $50 each. Lily did my fiance's deep tissue massage using her arm and elbow and he said it was good and he felt really good when he got home and relieved of stress. Mark did my massage and although he didn't seem to speak much English, I was able to relay I wanted more of a Swedish massage and was expecting him to start digging in and perhaps not understand, but he gave me the perfect pressure and I thoroughly enjoyed my massage. I would have liked a little more time on my arms, shoulders and legs as he primarily focused on my back and also the beginning he seemed to rub my ears a little longer than I thought necessary. Both of us did discuss how most of the massage focused on our backs, although they both did all limbs and our heads at some point. Once we turned face up there were only 10 minutes left. Both were very polite and we paid credit card for massages and cash tip. We gave them each $10 and I didn't feel like they were insulted, as I've seen many comments at other massage salons where customers left intimated so of course when I see that I don't even walk into the door of a place like that. Came here yesterday as a walk in and did a one hour oil massage for 50$. The place was quiet, nice relaxing music, and I was seen right away. My therapist was excellent, she focused on my back and neck which I appreciated and she was strong and had good techniques. Hot stones were also used during the massage. Recently moved to Simi and tried this place today. It was great! Very inexpensive and the quality of service was awesome. You get hot stones for free if you get any massage that's 60 minutes or more. Tina was my masseuse and she was very caring and good at her job. Really appreciate how effective she was. I went in today because I did something to my back and neck in my sleep and ibuprofen didn't help. But Tina's massage did! Very thankful! Today I was able to get in to get a massage by Lili and let me tell you, she was GOOD! My low back had been hurting so bad and I asked for extra attention there and she did a great job! One thing I like is some places tend to massage my bones for some reason when they go up and down but she always would make sure she was actually getting my muscles and not random bones. She dug into the knotty places and stayed there before moving on. Definitely recommend coming here as it's also not sketchy ( can't be too careful now days!). This is the third or fourth and FINAL time I'm coming here. There is only one lady that does massage. The rest are guys. The lady has been very short and inpatient most of the time, but the prices are cheap, so I haven't learned my lesson. Just trying to save money. Guess the 2 don't go hand in hand here. Based on the reviews I was hoping to finally find a good place for a massage. I was very disappointed. I told them I need work on my legs and lower back. Most of the massage was done in my shoulders and partially on my lower back. The table was very uncomfortable and the face rest made my jaw hurt after 30 minutes. My wife and I stopped in last night for foot massages, and we were blown away. This place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! The foot massage is an hour long (only $25 + tip) and is so relaxing. The reclining chairs they have are the biggest, comfiest lounge chairs I've ever sat in. The masseuse started me off with a pleasingly hot but comfortable foot soak while she massaged my forehead, head, and neck. She also massaged my shoulders, arms, and hands before working on my feet and lower legs. She was a total pro. After I laid there for what I was certain was an hour, she told me to head to one of the private tables and lay face-down. Then she massaged my back, entire spine, and shoulders. Towards the end she also massaged my butt and hamstrings. My wife and I were both blown away by the quality of the experience and the tranquil environment. And you can't beat the price. I'm not sure why the other reviewer rated this establishment one star when she lists many positives and acknoledges returning at least twice. The most awful massage I've ever had. I used to go to this place a few years back and remember having great experiences. Today I went in and let the lady know about pain in my neck and upper back. We agreed on 30 min and focusing on those areas. What I got was 25 mins of oil being rubbed around on my back and arms. My neck received no attention and the masseuse left multiple times during the massage even having a few minute conversation with another employee. I went early in the day, they were completely empty of customers. The woman at counter wondered wht I preferred. I said I needed a foot massage (which is really whole body), as I hurt head to toe. I should have said that was equal payment for not getting a massage. Wrong man, useless card. But I corrected it. He kept telling me he was sorry, while charging me full price. I should have argued, because I am a senior citizen and filled with pain. He cheated me. He was sneaky, thought I would never know? "All Chinese look alike???" The sweet looking young man who "finished" looked very embarassed. I first went there months ago, had an excellent massage. The next time I got a differnet man. I felt hands were just too close to where they should not be. I moved and said something. I came back a third time, and a woman was doing an excellent job. The man from the second time, saw me. demanded she let him do it. She left. I will from now on, speak up loud and clear. Everyone in the Chinese massage place has a wonderful smile, and look kind. Me and my GirlFriend come here often. Sometimes once a week. Sometimes twice. In the past 2 years or so we've only had one not so good massage each(they were new) the owners are really nice! I usually get the 60min foot massage which includes arms, back, and head. If you want your legs worked on you have to mention it because they usually don't. Be sure to tip! My family and I have been going here for a few years. The owners, Victor and Peggy, are very knowledgeable, professional and nice/caring. The place is clean and neat. Prices are great but, as a couple of the other reviewers mentioned, this is for acupressure and deep-tissue massage, not the Swedish, light type. The only complaint I have is that the turnover is quite high, normal in this business - just as I get to like someone, they leave. But they train newcomers very well, so this is somewhat offset.
