I can't say enough good things about no 33. Neil was great throughout the entire process from initial contact, to coming to my residence for measurements, explaining everything about suiting to me and my fianceé, delivery and alterations and final delivery. Communication was clear and timelines for delivery were accurate and I couldn't be happier with the way the suit came out. Off the rack suits never fit quite right with my shoulders and waist, even with tailoring. However, the suit made by No 33 conformed to my body perfectly. And then there's the value of it all. I had been to one place that quoted me $1500 for a made to measure suit, just a jacket and pants. Several other places $2000+. I heard about No 33 when I was searching for a tailor to make a custom shirt and vest for a ballroom dance competition. I had some very specific characteristics that I wanted, and the off-the-rack shirts and online made-to-measure companies I had tried just weren't enough. When I reached out to No 33 through the contact form on their website, they were very helpful. I spoke with Andy and Neil about some of the details I had in mind. Then, Neil came to my place to fully flesh out the details and take my measurements. I really appreciate that he went into every detail of each garment. For instance, I wanted a large collar on my shirt to mimic the appearance of detachable collars, and I wanted my vest to have a very specific cutout / scoop to have a more traditional appearance. We also spent a long time going through a vast collection of fabrics to find something that was just right for me; I chose a cotton twill for the shirt and a tropical wool for the vest. Although I was fine with No 33's normal production time of 4-6 weeks, I did ask if the shirt and vest could be made in ~3 weeks since I had a competition coming up, and I was pleasantly surprised and really grateful when Andy reached out to let me know that they had finished the garments early and would be delivering it to me. Neil came to my place to deliver the garments and make sure they fit. Afterwards, Andy and Neil were also really helpful in answering a bunch of questions I had about the garments. Overall, the quality and service I got with No 33 was unprecedented. The shirt and vest I ordered fit perfectly and match all the details that I requested -- I wore them at my ballroom dance competition this past weekend, and I looked excellent. Furthermore, the valet service and responsiveness over email were truly impressive. To top it all off, the price of these garments is extremely competitive -- there are off-the-rack and online made-to-measure options that are more expensive than No 33. I must admit I was initially unsure about the whole valet service, and was also skeptical about being able to have what I envisioned made (since all the folks in the garment district told me 'no'). But the convenience and the results were amazing! I had the pleasure of working with Neil as my haberdasher. We cannot recommend No. 33 enough. We stumbled across No. 33 on Yelp as we were looking for a place to make custom wedding suits. Our wedding planner had a specific vision for our two suits and some of the other bigger companies (Enzo Custom, Knot Standard, etc.) didn't have what we were looking for. Neil was so helpful from our first email. After sharing our planner's vision, he put together a deck showing us the various kinds of colors and fabrics they had. Leaving no stone left unturned, Neil went to a variety of vendors to source other fabrics in similar colors. No. 33's level of service is simply unparalleled. Neil came to our place (adhering to COVID safety protocols) and brought all of the fabrics and walked us through all of the decisions needed in placing our orders. He was extremely patient with all of our questions. We had two fittings to get the suits just right, but most were minor adjustments. He even told us that we could get in touch with him up until we left for the wedding to make any final adjustments. No. 33 even made our bow ties. Neil went above and beyond and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the final product. We received so many compliments on our wedding day and felt like a million bucks. We enjoyed the process so much that I placed an order for another suit the week I got back for another upcoming wedding. An equally superb process. I had a suit done in last year for a wedding in August 2018 (I know, I should have written this review earlier). I love the suit--not only does it fit better than any suit I've ever owned, but it has a more distinctive look than anything I've seen off the rack in my price range (about $1000, with vest)--for instance in the detailing around the buttons and the pockets. Neil was very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process; and he provided expert guidance exactly the way a sommelier would when offering advice about wine. I regretted not having a shirt made for the wedding by these guys. I'd certainly consider going back for shirts as suits in the future. read more

I needed a custom suit for my wedding, and I was looking for something pretty specific: a three-piece blue tweed suit with a contrasting gray vest. Tweed was a difficult fabric to find, at least without it being too thick, too stodgy-looking, or too old-fashioned. Or so I thought. I told Neil and Andy what I was looking for, and Neil showed up at my apartment with not one, not two, but three books full of different tweed fabrics. The question was no longer if I could find a tweed fabric I liked, but rather which of the twenty tweed fabrics I liked to pick! The process of picking out fabrics and getting measured took about forty-five minutes, and I got to choose every detail of my suit, down to the width of my lapels. When I got my suit delivered, it fit like a glove, and was incredibly comfortable. I looked amazing for my wedding, and was showered with compliments all day. I was looking for a custom suit for my wedding, and this tailor was recommended to me by a coworker, who got his wedding suit here. I've never bought a custom suit before, but my body does not fit an off-the-rack suit. Frankly, I didn't think a suit would ever look good on me. Plus, I rarely dress up more than a button-up. Right from the moment I first contacted them, I knew I was in good hands. Neil set an appointment and found out they come to you! He showed up promptly to my door for the consultation and measuring. He was professional, polite and thorough. He showed me a ton of designs, and helped narrow down the choices to what would look good for me and the wedding we had in mind. I had referred my best friend to get a James Bond white jacket silk black Italian lining the whole shibang. Well he didn't tell the groomsmen that we should have all black tuxes to match. If you're reading this, there's a good chance you're in the market for a new suit for an upcoming occasion. Maybe you're looking to go "big time" and get a really nice suit. And maybe, like me, you found that off-the-rack suits at the retailer stores were shockingly expensive and/or very ill-fitting. I'm 6'3", 190 lbs, which causes a lot of general fitting problems. So, like you, I found myself searching to find information on a custom made suit. Three years ago (2014), I found myself in the situation I just described, needing and wanting a suit but unhappy with what i was finding out at stores. After some research, i took a chance on No33, and they ended up making the first suit I've ever owned. I worked with Neil, and as others have described, he came to my house and spent all the necessary time working with me, taking measurements, talking fabrics, patterns, styles, price range options, etc. He answered all my "i've-never-owned-a-suit-before" questions, and never tried to upsell me on anything. I went all in and bought a charcoal grey suit jacket and pants, and also had ordered a custom white dress shirt. The results were amazing. The moment I put the jacket on is when I knew i had made the right decision. Never has something fit so me so perfectly, and the look that my significant other had on her face seeing me in this suit confirmed it. Fast forward to 2017, I am now getting married and wanted a modern and stylish black suit. It had been three years, but i contacted Neil and once again, he rose to the challenge and came to my house and we went through the process again. Ok, this review is LOOONNGGGG overdue but the impression this company left on me has lasted so long that I had to be sure to leave a review! I got married back in 2015 and I'm very picky when it comes to the fit of my clothes so I knew I had to get a custom suit (being on the short side) and No. 33 was the best way to go! Neil was a great help from the start, coming to my apartment in Pasadena and spending over two hours with me going through all of my options, taking my measurements and making sure everything was exactly what I wanted. There's so many ways to customize! Once that was set, he did the same thing again, coming to my apartment to measure all of my groomsmen. When the suits are finished they do a trial day where everyone gets together and tries the suits on to make sure they fit. They even came down to Orange County to meet my and my groomsmen before we headed to the bachelor party - super accommodating to say the least. At first trial, everything was amazing, well built and looked exactly how I wanted it to. There were a few fit issues here and there, but they marked what to do and took it back to make the fixes. Once the fixes were made, we were given the suits again well enough in advance of my wedding to try on one final time and make sure it was perfect, which it was! To top it all off, I added a groomsman TWO WEEKS before the wedding and, knowing it was near impossible to make happen, Neil and No.33 worked their magic and got the fitting and suit delivered to me the day of the wedding and everything was perfect. I will never buy a suit from a suit outlet again; these guys are fantastic and I cannot say enough about how great the entire experience was. They made the suit that I wore at my wedding, and it looked and fit better than any suit I've ever had. Don't spend that money at a suit store; have one made for you instead. It is a highly personalized experience. The valet service they provide is fantastic. Neil, who was my contact point, came to my house with binders of fabrics and styles, and we sat and discussed all of the options and what I was looking for, and what fell within my budget. He took a lot of time and care in describing the process and materials, and worked out a final design. His knowledge of styles and cuts and fabric was impressive, and his demeanor was more of a consultant than a salesman; he was never pushy and just guided me towards my final design. Neil is fantastic, and I highly recommend asking for him. You might be asking yourself about pricing at this point, and I can tell you that they will work with you on your budget, and you will most likely pay less than what you would pay in a mid range suit store. My father bought his suit at Jos A Bank, from a sales guy who didn't care about how it looked on him, and spent more than I did on a custom suit, with a vest and fitted shirts from No33. Granted, I'm guessing you could go with the really expensive options that No33 offers, but they can also bring it down to stay in your price range. Please do yourself a favor and call them, and then ask for Neil. Without question, this is how suit shopping should be done. read more

What an amazing haberdashery, not that I know any better. My experience with suits is buying the best fitting size off of a rack and having it tailored to my dimensions. However, I felt that upon entering my early 30s that one should, at least once, have a suit custom made. I consulted with No. 33 after having read nothing but stellar reviews about the establishment. Shortly after a couple of back-and-forth emails Neil showed up to my studio to take my measurements and go over the plethora of options. Every detail of the suit was explained to me and the process took longer than I had anticipated, which is not a bad thing. Long story short, Neil brought the suit over to me and did a second fitting which wasn't quite right the first time. He came back a couple times after to make minor adjustments so that the suit met not only my expectations but his as well. The result is a 3-piece suit that fits and looks better on me than any of the other suits that I own or have owned. Why I haven't done this in the past is due to my own ignorance, I only paid a little more than I did for the suits off-the-rack. I've been looking for a good place to shop for custom suits for a very long time. I was referred to Neil and Andy and I'm so glad I went with them. First of all, these guys are consummate professionals. They drove all the way down to my house in South Orange County for a fitting and were on time. They brought a plethora of examples of fabrics and suit styles to chose from and made some excellent recommendations which I ended up going with. Usually it takes a few fittings to get your suit dialed in but I was amazed my 3 piece suit fit like a glove the first time I tried it on! The workmanship is top notch....they gave me so many little customizations like lining preference, buttons, stitchings etc. I felt this suit truly was my own. The other key area is price. Back in February of 2020, my fiancé and I were looking for suits for our wedding. After going to a bunch of places and reading reviews on Yelp we decided on custom suits cause we were very specific on the colors we wanted. We met with Neil and he automatically knew what we wanted after we explained what we were looking for. However, after our measurements and putting in our order the pandemic happened and we unfortunately had to postpone our wedding. Neil held on to our suits for nearly a year as we were a extremely cautious with meeting anyone and after finally getting them they are honestly the nicest suits we have ever seen. Let me start off by saying that I have dealt with haberdasheries all over the world. In the states, I have dealt with several in various cities over the years. I believe my search for the perfect haberdashery has ended with my discovery of the gents at No. 33. I was recently in need of finding someone to provide me a tailor made navy blazer with a little something "extra" in it. I wanted something traditional, but at the same time a little more unique than your run of the mill blazers. Enter No. 33. I went through a ton of different fabrics, shades, and custom items for creating the perfect blazer. I was able to discuss everything down to what particular buttons I wanted. During the entire time, I was put at ease with how they handled everything from measuring me to explaining the different fabrics, etc. While I have dealt with tailors before, the service provided by No. 33 was bar none the best I have had to date! During my time with No. 33 I also inquired as to custom dress shirts for both work and casual dress for a night out on the town. I was provided so many different choices and options it could make one's head spin! I was given plenty of time to look at the fabrics and come up with the perfect shirt combinations. The insight provided by No. 33 during the entire process was phenomenal. At the end of the day, I was able to get an amazing fitting blazer that had style along with custom shirts that were on par or better than any major "label" brand out there. Working with Andy of No. 33 was an awesome decision. I purchased made to measure suits previously from other stores online, but I preferred an in-person measurement from a professional tailor. I needed a suit for my wedding in a few months, and luckily I came across No. 33 through Yelp. I emailed them for more information, and I got a response from Andy very quickly. He was extremely helpful and informative in his initial email to me. Once I scheduled a fitting with him, it was a very smooth process. Andy came to my home and took my measurements, explained all the aspects of the suit, showed me all the different fabrics he had, and made sure he answered all of my questions thoroughly. One giant advantage of getting measured in person was the fact that Andy was able to figure out why some of my measurements might have seemed wrong to the online stores. After about a month Neil personally delivered the suit for a fitting and took it back after seeing some adjustments to be made. He came back a second time and took it back for another adjustment after I decided to have the pants be even more slimming. He brought it back the same day. Cannot recommend highly enough! Neil and his team provided world class service, and an awesome, finely tailored suit for my wedding. After reaching out via e-mail, I promptly received a response from No.33 and the process of getting fitted, ordering my custom suit, having a delivery fitting, and ultimately receiving the suit & shirt was seamless and extremely convenient. Neil came to my office to do the initial fitting and provided a truly impressive palette of fabric and design options. When the suit was ready, Neil came to my house for a delivery fitting. My suit needed a couple of minor tweaks, and was re-tailored and returned in a matter of days, again directly to my house. I ended up buying a blue linen suit for my wedding, as well as a custom white shirt with my initials sewn into the cuff. Neil's attention to detail was obvious, as we discussed everything from the color of my shoes, the color of my belt, my groomsmen's outfits, the side I wear my watch on, and every last detail of my desired proportions. Amazingly helpful from the start. Booking a time for Neil to meet me at my house was smooth, not to mention incredibly nice to be able to have the appointment at my place. Neil was very friendly, offering suggestions as he noticed me struggle to make decisions, but letting override decisions as I made up my mind on fabric and styles. There were a lot of options to choose from when it came to fabric and Neil made it simple as he asked me questions about how often I wear a suit, do I travel with a suit, how often do I get them cleaned. Then he made some great suggestions based on my answers like suggesting a lighter weave since I travel and am in warmer climates mostly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will write an update review once I get my suits. Seriously, if you need a nice suit, custom made, No 33 is great. This review is long overdue! Almost two years ago I was in the hunt for a tuxedo for my wedding day. My dad had passed and I was looking to commemorate him in some way with the tuxedo I was to wear that day. No 33 delivered in a huge way! Their customer service is unreal! I was tentative at first since I had never used a haberdashery service before. But from beginning to end No 33 Haberdashery made sureI had the best experience possible! Neil was awesome! He was very patient and listened attentively to what I had in mind. I was able to provide him with yardage of the fabric I had in mind and they were able to deliver the suit I wanted to make me feel like my dad was part of my wedding day. I was able use this paisley, floral fabric that reminded me of the roses that bloomed from the garden my father took so much pride in taking care of. It could not have been any more perfect! Note: This is a review for customer service only and not for clothing. I called in to get some information on made-to-measure items. I was put on hold for five minutes by someone who seemed irritated I called and, following that, the representative who picked up could not answer any questions without scheduling a callback. I'm not sure who they're hiring to answer their phones, but asking about suit separates doesn't really seem like a question that should require a multi-step process for a response. read more

The owner of the company called me in response to my review and said they use an answering service, so it wasn't the actual company that answered the phone. The problem, of course, is that the answering service is still the guardian to getting through to the company. Maybe I'll give them another chance when they get that ironed out. First-time buyer with No. 33, and now a lifetime customer. I made an inquiry online and was instantly impressed with the prompt and thoughtful response from Andy. He was engaged, detail-oriented, and courteous. Then came my interactions with Neil, who would coordinate the preliminary consultation, fabric selection, and fitting if all went well. Neil is a super cool guy, who struck the perfect (and rare) balance of offering expert insights, but also, hearing and accommodating my personal tastes and style preferences. I was extremely fussy about selecting high quality material, and I must have looked through well over a dozen books with large fabric swatches. At no point did I feel rushed, or that Neil was pushing me toward a sale. I had shown him a few comps of suits I liked the look of (pics from online), as well a bunch of other details I was interested in. They met every single one, and nailed them all. The suit arrived precisely inside the window they estimated. Then, as promised, we made one last round of final adjustments, and a few days later, I ended up with what is now my favorite suit. (Plus two custom shirts that are my most flattering to-date. I recently tried on a bunch of shirts at Barneys, including Zegna, Isaia, and the like... and honestly, the stuff I received from No. 33 actually made my wife do double-takes.) Beyond the class, the competitive price point, the bulletproof communication, and of course, the actual quality of the final product, I must say, the one aspect which put this experience above any other experience I've had... was the valet service. I recently bought another suit from a high-end boutique in Beverly Hills and that experience was also solid, but if one could put a dollar value on the time I spent traveling to and from Beverly Hills, the No. 33 value absolutely skyrockets. The valet service allowed me to meet with Neil in the middle of intensely busy work days, which turned out to be convenient beyond words. High recommendation for the gents at No. 33. read more
