Currently I already have a well-fitting navy suit from a no-name brand called Creative, but I wanted to add another suit with slightly different color to my wardrobe and this time I decided to give SuitFellas a try. SuitFellas is located literally 4-5 stores away from Sonoratown & BROKEN MOUTH | Lee's Homestyle in Downtown LA and has been in business for over 20+ years. [Parking]: Not the easiest street metered parking in this part of Downtown LA, but still possible to find few available spots. I found a street metered parking spot one block away from SuitFellas (S Los Angeles St & E 9th St) and the rate was $4 per hour. [Visit]: I came here at 2:15 PM and left approximately 2:45 PM. Initially I was a bit lost in the first 60 seconds, but once one of the staff asked, 'How can I help you?' then the rest is history. [Process]: I told one of employees that I am looking for a semi-formal suit. The staff assisted & helped me trying on few random suits to get my size right. Once the staff nailed down my size and the color I wanted, the employee said that SuitFellas partners up with a local tailored shop (Downtown Tailor Shop - https://www.yelp.com/biz/downtown-tailor-shop-los-angeles) just few shops away and he can call Downtown Tailor Shop if I don't have a preferred tailor shop. The tailor was summoned in 5 minutes and pinned the right length for my pants and suit sleeves. I was told that my suit and pants will be ready in 2 hours (same day pick up - the shop closes at 6 PM) and they only accept cash ($30 total to tailor - separate charge from 3-piece suit purchase). I came 5 minutes before 6 PM and the tailor shop got the job done! *** EF2N+V-8129 Charcoal (Giovanni Testi 3 Piece Slim Fit Suit Size 42R, 2 Button, Notch Lapel with Pick Stitching, Side Vents, Matching pants with flex waist - stretchable) + Dress Shirt (Giovanni Testi Size 16 - 16 1/2 & 32 - 33, Mercerized Cotton Blend, Tag Less Collar, Convertible Cuffs, Removable Collar Stakes, and Hardened Buttons) + Tie (Giovanni Testi Charcoal Slim Tie with Hanky 3000-NN) = Slightly below $200 with tax included: Another employee helped me selecting a tie and recommended a matching color tie (charcoal instead of black - great recommendation in hindsight). The staff also recommended a size up after I tried 15 1/2 - 16 dress shirt which in hindsight was another correct call. Lastly Giovanni Testi actually has an IG page (https://www.instagram.com/giovannitestiofficial/) so it is already another step up comparing with my current navy suit from a no-name brand. I believe SuitFellas is actually a manufacturer for Giovanni Testi. *** Overall I was able to purchase a classic 3-piece suit in 30 minutes and picked up a tailored suit/pants in less than 3 hours. If anyone needs to attend a wedding or has a job interview in less than a week, I would definitely recommend SuitFellas.
