Great service, welcoming environment where the owner and staff want to assist you with finding the right suit: color/pattern/fit-type, etc... Most business these days couldn't care less about their customers but this place is the opposite. The value is phenomenal, not overpriced like some of their main competitors. Their selection I must admit is a hit or miss at times, they do have the basics in stock: Navy, Charcoal, Black always on hand but if you're looking for a specific color and pattern they may not have it in store. read more

I had a wonderful experience. I called there because my brother-in-law had just got a suit there for his son's wedding. I inquired since I needed the same and spoke to Simon. Because of family health issues, I had no time to get one and the wedding and I called him Thursday and the wedding was on Tuesday so less than a week away. I gave him my size and specifics let me know he could help. I also explained that I was bringing my mom who is elderly and I needed parking and said to call when I arrived and he would show me where I could get parking very close. We came into the store and I introduced myself , the first thing he did before asking about a suit was brought of over a chair for mom and brought her water. He was so thoughtful to take care of her and make sure she was comfortable before he worried about a sale. Even though I gave him my measurements on our call he took my measurements to make sure and promptly brought out 2 suits for me to try on and one because of the cut was a perfect fit. All that was needed was the pants to be hemmed at the bottom which is always the case. Because he knew mom had trouble walking he called the tailor and him come to his store and take the measurements and then bring them back hemmed in 10 minutes !. I had been aware of his store but had never been there previously and he explained he had been there for 30 years. With this type of customer service I wish him to be there another 30 years + because in times where customer service and rare he is the exception. Investing in his customers' needs and the needs of their guests/family speaks to who he is and why people like Simon have been successful for so many years. He is my go-too guy moving forward and I know every customer referral will be pleased with their experience. Simon, thank you again for making my experience so pleasant and the wedding was wonderful. As the bride to be shopping for my groomsmen and FHs Summer Suits. March/22 wedding in September/22 they have the suit I like for my groomsmen however they don't have all the sizes we need so we place an order in their book for 7 suits for $150.00 each they advise us to have everyone come in to get sized and leave a deposit. When my brother showed up in May to pay and take his suit they still didn't any of the sizes we ordered and he went up on the price stating something about shipping so $189.00 is the new price. I'm mad but I wait until July to go in the store and ask TO BUY ALL THE 7 SUITS. I WAS TOLD THEY WERE STILL WAITING ON THE SHIPMENT. This is a family-owned classic italian suits shop! I was recommended to come here from my Tailor that I frequent who no longer make his own custom suits for his customers. They offer the mantoli line which comes in "normal"cut and "slim" cut and the slightly higher-end enzo tolvare line which comes in its own special trimmed cut silhouette. There is also another parking lot just for Nino next door and it's free parking if you buy something from Nino. The boss man was able to cut a deal with me and made me feel welcomed when buying a suit. I'd definitely come here again for all my future Italian suit S150 needs! read more

My boyfriend was going in for an interview and needed a suit last minute. He hates going shopping for clothes so we walked down to the fashion district hoping to find a place where we could be in-and-out. This was the first place we walked into- the employees were all so nice and efficient. They got right to it- taking measurements- offering us matching ties- socks. We got everything we needed in about 15 minutes total and were off to the tailor shop. We were in a hurry- they could have charged us extra but I spoke to a friend who works at a rival store and they said the price was fair. Really happy to support this excellent small business. We were in a panic! It was 4:00 pm on Thursday (yesterday). The suit we ordered online didn't fit and the wedding was in two days! I called Nino Ferretti Los Angeles and spoke with Simon. I told him of our issue and he had the perfect suit, shipped it to us in Santa Barbara, that same day (by 5:00) Fed-ex, we received it this morning (Friday at 10 am). It fits just right and looks amazing! Yay! We have it in time for the wedding, which is tomorrow! The owner of Nino Ferretti recently passed away. My husband and I went to get a suit without knowing this news and found that the store was closed, but had a "we moved sign" pointing to a store next store named "Nino FerrUtti". Not the same. This new store is significantly smaller. And I still can't decide if this new ownership is in any way connected to the previous Nino Ferretti or opportunists trying to poach off his great reputation. In any case, we ended up walking to Roger Stuart down the street because we couldn't find anything we liked. read more

After going to Roger Stuart down the block to look for a suit, this store was a much better experience. Comparatively, it at least seemed like they wanted my business. As some background (since this is a separate review from Roger Stuart) I was going with a group so that we could buy suits for a wedding. All told we were slated to get 5 suits, 4 of which were going to be matching. So since it was a larger purchase, we were taken upstairs to the warehouse section of their store. We were measured pretty quickly and the salesman ("PJ") went off to find some suits for us. We tried on jackets up there, and we ended up with some decent suits (4 solid black and 1 black on black striped). We headed down, and we proceeded to look around for shirts and ties. While we only ended up leaving with 1 tie, it still seemed like a relatively painless experience. As you can expect at almost any retail store, the markup on the clothes on the floor is huge. However, the best part about this shop is the opportunity to bargain. Unlike department stores (or other more established stores) you can try to finagle extras here and lower prices there to end up with a price that is pretty palatable. I am not a suit expert, but for less than $150 for each suit (for 5 suits), we were satisfied with the purchase. It's not as cheap as some of the other retailers around the fashion district hawking 2 suits for $99, but I think that you can still find a satisfactory experience as well as some dandy well-priced suits. read more

I recently purchased a suit from here. A salesman by the name Miguel assisted me in picking a suit. He was really helpful and knew what I was looking for. When it came down to paying for the suit, tie and shirt Miguel turned me over to another gentleman (didn't catch his name). I asked him how much and he said $160 for everything. I then turned to my friend and said "lets go check out the spot down the street" he then said $150 I then turned to him and said "I have $140 take it or leave it" he said okay that's fair. I probably could of got the suit for a lower price, but i figured it was a good price and I wasn't in the mood to haggle. They then took me to a tailor which they recommended. Did not get the name of the tailor but its down the street to the right and has a yellow sign. DO NOT GO TO THAT TAILOR! Horrible job and overpriced. If you have your own tailor that you are happy with I highly suggest you stick to your tailor. Place sucks!!! I recommend you bring cash because it lets you bargain with them without them charging you tax. read more

I am getting married and opted to drive from san diego to LA to the fashion district in order to save myself the pain of renting a suit from a mainstream retailer. We got there and gave them all the guys measurements and left, same day with 8 tuxedos. As would normally happen I got them home and all the guys tried them on, (the same guys that I trusted to get their own measurements) and realized they had measured wrong....shocking as when I was looking at numbers I had a few questions. Anyways, we piled into the car and went back to LA and the owners were insanely helpful. They were able to get us out with new tuxes within 30 minutes. They then directed us to a tailor across the street that finished their job in an hour. As a bride who was already aggravated by 5 groomsmen who apparently cannot measure, this shop took something and made it simple. After my usual suit store in downtown Los Angeles closed, I was in search of a new place. After checking out a couple of stores, I stumbled on this place. It did stand out as it was cleaner and had a more polished look. I ended up getting two suits here. They have wool suits (more expensive) as well as polyester blend suits (cheaper). They had a decent selection of styles and color. Prices are reasonable and you can haggle the price. The sales associate was friendly but he wasn't as knowledgable as others I have dealt with. What I did like about the sales assiciate was I didn't feel pressured to buy like other stores. They offer validated parking at the lot behind them. I will probably be back when I need another suit. read more

I had a head-scratching experience when buying a suit for my son. The man that helped me find the right linen suit for a beach wedding was very helpful. When it came time to pay, my pleasant experience turned sour. I wanted to pay with my credit card. The man ringing up my purchase said the card did not go through. I knew that was impossible and I said run it again. He fumbled with the card and said, there are many reasons why it could have been declined. Do you have another card to run? I said no, I wanted to use that card and there is no need to use another card will you run it again. He again said, I tried and it didn't go through. So I said I was going to call. I call and hear an automated message on my card balance and tell him, I have money on the card there's no reason why it didn't go through. Then all of a sudden, he ran my card, this time inserted it to read my chip, and it went through immediately. It took me a minute to realize he just wanted me to pay with cash/debit card. Was he being racist or discriminatory towards me, I wonder? On top of that, I was there with a friend who is part of a wedding party and they gave him the wrong size for his suit. When he tried to exchange for the right size, the same man protested at first saying that is the correct size and exchange is not neccessary. When my friend said, he was sized and obviously was given the wrong size for the pants but not the coat (coat was 40, pants 42 when he wears 34), the man who also rang me up was not friendly or helpful. If anything he protested and relented. He had already spent over $100 and brought me there to spend another $200 so you would think he would be more friendly and helpful. He will not get my repeat business and I want to let other people know to stay away. read more
