I'm a mom of two babies so it's nice to get out occasionally and get a mani-pedi. My mom gave me a spa finder gift card and there weren't many places that offer these services, so I ended up here. This salon is located right on the edge where downtown meets fountain square. So it's a nice spot and you can see the skyline of downtown from their parking lot. There are various businesses next door such as a CBd store and restaurant. This is great location. Upon entering I was greeted and the door was opened for me. I was directed back to the "spa area". This area has much to be desired but, whatever. The lady started my feet and there was definitely being tender. I sensed a little hesitancy. Don't get me wrong it's been a minute, especially since I've been in the house majority of the time since March but I'm here for a reason.. With much guidance we finally got my feet soft, shiny, painted, nothing more than just that. A little disappointing, but still great because the products they use made my feet soft! After my pedicure I went for the manicure. As tender as she was she did an ok job. She was nice and peaceful during my visit and it was an ok time. I don't think I will be back to this establishment. It was pretty expensive for a very average mani-pedi. This is especially when leaving from a pedicure that was pretty subpar. read more

I will never go back to this salon. I literally just walked out of there and am so upset by the person who cut my hair, Lora. I went in for a bang trim. I told Lora multiple times that I did not want mircobangs and even through my hair was curly going in, I usually straighten my bangs. I didn't straighten them for the stake of the haircut. I wanted them cut just above my eyebrow/middle of forehead. I have mircobangs now against my will that are uneven. One side is longer than the other. It looks like a child cut my hair. I have no idea what to do now other than to wait for them to grow out. I have attached a photo for reference. read more

This salon has a welcoming and posh interior space. The staff are very friendly. It's hard to get a quick appointment here or walk-in, but I was able to make an appointment 3 days out. I had an express manicure. My manicurist was easy to talk to and patient as I picked out a color. It felt a little rushed- no hand massage and only light shaping of the nails, a few cuticles still snagging- but it was express after all! I would go back to try one of their skin services but I will probably still to a nail-specific salon for manicures in the future. BUT my experience yesterday was anything but relaxing and I won't be visiting this establishment ever again. I was greeted by a friendly, new receptionist that was also on the phone trying to book an apt. *She was 1st day on the job & I pray for her she gets a better trainer or finds a new job* Unfortunately she had another worker beside her being anything but helpful, raising her voice about how she MUST GET A CREDIT CARD. Seriously I heard this line about a credit card 10+ times while waiting. This other worker even slammed a notebook on the table, rolled her eyes, and called back the client previously on the phone to tell her " I just want to be clear that you do not have an appointment and we need your credit card to book"...wild guess is that client won't be calling back to book. Just my luck, this rude worker (whom I have had before) was giving me my facial. She made sure to tell me that they were "understaffed". She started off the facial by putting a hot cloth on my face to rub off my Step 1 Cleanser but then left the room. For like ehh 5-7 minutes!! And I could hear her next door chatting with someone. This leaving the room happened 3 times during my facial. And it only went downhill from there. read more

Everything about my experience at No. 7 Salon & Spa leading up to my wedding was amazing. Really, I couldn't have asked for anything better. I came to this salon about a month before my wedding, because the other salon I had booked canceled on me. They were more than accommodating, and working with Tabitha, the salon's wedding coordinator, was a seamless process. She was available via phone call or text and was always prompt in her responses. I completed my trial hair and makeup run, and while yes, it did cost money, it allowed both myself and the salon to feel comfortable and confident on the day of the wedding. Then, on my wedding day, there were eight of us there, all getting hair and makeup, and the salon was more than ready for us. They efficiently completed our hair and makeup in just a few hours, ensuring that we were ready to leave and get to the church on time. Plus, we all looked beautiful and I know that everyone was happy with how they looked. I would highly, highly, highly recommend this salon to any bride who is looking for a salon for both herself and her wedding party. The ladies that work here are very welcoming! I called in last minute for an appointment for my boyfriend and I to get pedis (this was his first time ever getting a pedicure). Unfortunately, upon arrival, we found out that one of their techs was running late so I ended up having to wait around 40mins while my boyfriend got his pedi. This wasn't ideal, but I wasn't in a huge rush so it wasn't a huge deal. The deal breaker for me was that they did not have massage chairs!!! I was so looking forward to sitting down on a massage chair while I got my pedi since that has always been the norm for me at other places. They only had a long bench with a pillow, which wasn't much fun to sit in while I waited for my nail tech to finally arrive. I guess I should've asked when I called to make the appointment. I've been a regular client at No 7 Salon & Spa for a couple of years now and have never had a bad experience. I came across the salon one weekend when I desperately needed to get in last minute for a wax and was simply Googling and calling places near me. No 7 Salon & Spa was able to get me in immediately, which I was really surprised about because I figured with so many positive reviews they must be booked out for weeks! But it just so happened that there was a last minute cancellation and they were able to squeeze me in. (Fate?) I've been a regular client of Santina's ever since. Prior to coming here, I was seeing a woman who I really liked and who always gave me a killer deal on regular waxing services, but who, over time, did a continuously awful job. I was often in and out of her room within 15 minutes and looked a hot MESS by the time I decided to stop going there. When I decided to go to No 7 Salon & Spa, Santina gave me some really helpful pointers on how to help clean-up the mess that the other esthetician left behind and after each appointment, I noticed that the problem cleared up. At this point, I would never go to a salon without doing some research first! For anyone looking for a new esthetician, I would (and have plenty of times!) highly recommend going to see Santina. Aside from the excellent work she does, she's super friendly and you end up forgetting what you're actually there for because you get caught up in conversation with her. My wife went to No 7 and is not a fan...50 bucks for a pedi and they scheduled her with someone who it appeared had never done one before. The person she worked with was very nice, but perhaps No 7 should of shared her inexperience with my wife in advance, especially for that cost. She was hoping for more of a "spa" experience, but instead got more of a strip mall experience...even their soaking tubs were just basically sinks, no whirlpool/massage element at all. read more

Where do I begin.... Well, I desperately needed an underarm wax and I was traveling from out of town. After calling several places that were all booked or couldn't take me until the next day, this salon came to my rescue. I really wish I could remember the woman's name who did my wax, but I can't! She was AMAZING!!! She went above and beyond my expectations. This was my second underarm wax ever, so I was expecting her to just clean up what was growing in. She spent a lot of time on each of my armpits, using her magnifying lens to tweeze out hairs to give it a cleaner look. She took a lot of pride in making sure they looked great! As soon as I left and got in the car with my friend, she decided to go in and get her eyebrows done and was also really pleased with her results. She had a similar experience in that the same woman spent a good amount of time making sure things were just right and checking to see her brows were how she wanted them before doing anything further. An unfortunate experience at the spa. I called over a week ago to schedule a makeup appointment for air brush (because that's what other people in my wedding party were getting). I again called Monday and Wednesday to confirm the appointment. I also got my nails done Thursday here and re confirmed my appointment and type. We got the salon Saturday morning and sat in the chairs. We have never gotten airbrush before so didn't know what to expect. We also rarely do our makeup so we had really no idea what's going on. Halfway through we realized we weren't getting airbrush like we had asked. At the end of the appointment I had told them we asked for airbrush and made he appointment for airbrush but clearly didn't get it. I asked them where the miscommunication was between them and their makeup artist and they completely ignored my question and just laughed at me. Was not happy obviously. I loved the makeup they did but it is not what we wanted or asked for. read more

I am so disappointed to write this review, after seeing the many positive experiences below. I tired out the Salon because it was close to my new apartment. I booked an appointment for a $37 pedicure on the phone. The salon was nice enough and the staff seemed friendly. At the end of my pedicure I was told I owed $47 because of the services I received in my pedicure. The woman had scrubbed my feet, but it was not unlike any other pedicure I've had. I didn't realize I was getting a more expensive pedicure than what I requested and booked. The staff insisted I paid the $47 because I got "extra services" even though I didn't ask for them. I left the salon frustrated. I was guaranteed my polish would be 100% dry in 8.5 minutes. Still, I waited 30 before taking off my toe dividers. The nails smudged. While the salon re-did my damaged nails for free, I'm still not happy with the final product. The polish was clumpy and uneven. Two days later my nails are chipped and faded. I feel like I could have done this myself and not paid $47. What bothers me most is that I feel like I was ripped off. I shouldn't have had to pay more than I was told for a subpar pedicure. I received the worst (and most expensive) haircut I've ever had. Five days later and I still can't look in the mirror without tearing up. I asked for 1-2 inches off just above the shoulder, and the stylist cut 5 inches to a chin-length bob. It's uneven on the sides and even shorter in the back. It's too short to put up or hide with extensions. It's truly an awful haircut. It'll take at least 3-4 months to grow close to the length I asked for. I am crushed. read more

I'm pretty picky about where I choose to get my hair cut and I had never heard anything about this place and the only reason I knew it existed was because I saw the sign on my way to work. I am getting married soon. I just want to wear my hair down and curled, with maybe a little bit of the front section pinned back. Very simple. Since it is not a fancy or complicated style, I did not want or need a trial run beforehand. I told this to the bridal coordinator and was told, quote, "none of my technicians feel comfortable doing bridal hair without a trial run." So, to be clear: if I were not a bride, they could curl my hair and clip some of it back with no problem. But, only because I am a bride, I am required to pay for an unnecessary trial run -- which actually costs MORE than the wedding-day style itself! Their concern is clearly not ensuring the customer's satisfaction. I told them that I did not want a trial run and that I was voluntarily taking on any risk inherent with that decision. Instead, their concern seems to be getting the most money out of brides, just because they are brides. Since this salon chooses to require a trial -- one that is more expensive than the wedding-day hair itself -- they should reflect that accurately on their website and in their contract. That is, instead of falsely advertising that a customer can pay $67 in exchange for bridal hair, they should disclose that the customer must actually pay $137 to get bridal hair, and that this cost includes a trial. I would advise future brides to be wary of this salon's conditionally competent technicians, who claim to lose their ability to curl hair if they find out that the customer is a bride, even though they would willingly perform an identical style on someone else. I contacted 4 other salons in the Indianapolis area and none of them gave me any such trouble. They are all more than willing to do my hair and makeup with no strings attached. Trials recommended but optional. (E.g. Cloud 9 Salon and Spa in Noblesville; Modé salon in Keystone). I would recommend going to one of those if you just want a simple style with no nonsense. read more

After my usual eyebrow girl cancelled my standing monthly appointment, I went into panic mode and was on the hunt for a new trustworthy salon. (I won't let just anyone touch my eyebrows.) As any good Yelper would do, I checked reviews on my trusted site and settled on No. 7 Salon & Spa. My reasoning: good location a little bit east of downtown and good reviews. I was at work, so I shot the salon a pleading note via email explaining my situation, and they were prompt in responding that they could get me in for a wax that evening. Yay! I arrived and was instantly greeted by Jennifer. She was friendly throughout the wax. Wasn't painful at all and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Pricing was downtown competitive. I will definitely be back at some point due to the fact that No. 7 was so accommodating to my last minute appointment request and because I was pleased with the excellent service I was provided. Definitely a hidden gem worth trying if you're in need of salon services - and you can't beat the abundant and free parking in the lot next to the building! read more

My mom and I had the Caramel Apple Pedicure and Manicure with Krissy and we loved it! She did a great job of making us feel pampered.We loved the pedicure bench. There are 3 tubs and we could sit next to each other and talk while she worked on both of us. She started with our pedicures and had us soaking our feet. She removed my stubborn callous at the ball of my foot without any issues. I was impressed with how she smoothed out my heels. My toes turned out amazing and my mom loved hers. She chose Fine Vermilion (an orange shade) and I picked out Nordic Lights (a sparkly purple). When it came to our manicures, I really appreciated the time and effort Krissy spent on my cuticles, which were really dry. I asked for a CND Shellac mani since I'd never had one before (but I've had gel in the past). I LOVE Shellac. It's so much quicker and easier than a gel mani. I chose Asphalt for my base shade, then asked Krissy to create nail art with the additives. She used a blue to teal pigment and holographic sparkle pigment to create a gradient on top of the base color. My nails turned out amazing! The color is complex and beautiful. My mom asked for a more subtle orange for her mani in the Vinylux and Krissy suggested Salmon Run, which she loved. We both loved the experience and will be back! read more

I am traveling for work and needed to get my nails done last minute since I was traveling to a wedding the following day. I googled the closet salon to me and this one popped up and I thought "well here goes nothing." I am typically very picky when it comes to my nails and salon and it always scares me to try new places, but this place far exceeded my expectations. I called them very last minute (an hour and a half before closing) and they said they could get me in if I got there in the next 10 minutes. I agreed and hurried there to get there as soon as possible. The salon is super cute and carries the highest quality of products. The ladies were all very nice and did a fantastic job. They even squeezed me in for an eyebrow wax even though they were on a time crunch. If I lived here I would definitely make this my salon for everything! I scheduled a gel mani here and was a little disappointed. The price was right and I appreciated their later hours for folks who work, but the quality of the manicure just wasn't there. I have multiple spots with polish clumps and nails where you can see the layers because they weren't fully painted with color the first or second time. Also the paint is too far from the base of the nail. I had some difficulties with the scheduling process, I think the guy who I worked with was new. Service was sub-par especially for a nicer salon. I made a reservation for my bridesmaids, my mother and I to get our nails done and was told that three of us would have pedicures done while the other three of us had our manicures done and then we would swap. My poor mother sat around for over two hours before her nails were even touched. Luckily she didn't need to have a pedicure or else we would have been there for a whopping FOUR hours. A couple of my other bridesmaids sat around for an hour between services because they said they were understaffed but we noticed two or three different employees walking back and forth and talking amongst each other in the reception area which we all thought was quite rude. These same women were previously helping our group so it seemed really weird for them to start working with us and then just leave and sweep the salon or talk with each other and not seeing other clients. In total, our group was there for over three hours which is not great and our agreement we made when I made my deposit said that we would be receiving services simultaneously. While I understand being "understaffed," it was very clear to all of us that this situation was not managed appropriately. read more

My friend got me a $40 gift certificate here for my birthday a few months ago. I'm 7 months pregnant and used it towards a pre-natal massage earlier this week... and it was fantastic. Santina did a great job - asked for my input, used the full time, great pressure and coverage. I was a little wary of what I would think given the inconsistent reviews recently, but was pleasantly surprised! I have been going to the Number Seven Salon for years and they've always been wonderful. The location for me is perfect as it is right across from my workplace, but if that is not the case for you there is plenty of free parking and its location is just minutes away from everything downtown. Lately I have been working with Alyssa and she is amazing. Not only is she knowledgable about product and hair texture, but she is extremely kind and great at her job. The only other thing to add is how clean the salon is. It has always been spotless and welcoming. The selection of product is not great but that's not of high importance to me. So my recommendation is go! Ask for Alyssa, but there are many other stylists there and I have never been disappointed by any of them read more

Lack of consistency in facials. Got a glow facial back in January & loved the results. Went back today(different esthetician)& I felt rushed, and 0% relaxed & barely any products used. The 95$ felt like a rip off! The esthetician wouldn't listen, instead went on & on about her "17years of experience" with the product line. Not a bad salon. Pretty clean and looks relatively new. I went in for a trim, and it turned out pretty good. She spent a whole hour on my hair, straightened it, and used a lot of product (in a good way!). My only suggestion is to make sure you mention any specials found on the website for new customers - don't just assume you get it because you're new. It was very clear that I was a first time customer (I told the lady when I booked the appointment that I'd never gone there before, and I also filled out a new customer form when I got there) but I didn't blatantly ask for the price of $35 for the haricut, and they charged me $47. Same thing happened to my roommate. She told me that she mentioned it when she got the bill, and they wouldn't give her the discount because she didn't mention it on the phone. read more

I was visiting Indy from out of town and badly needed a haircut and color. I was able to get into No 7 Salon quickly and everyone in the salon was friendly and professional. The prices were reasonable too which was a big plus. Kylie was my stylist and she did a fantastic job. I have done foil highlights for 15 years, but I tried balayage for the first time and I'm never going back! You can see the before and after pics below. I wish I could take Kylie back home with me! No. 7 Salon is definitely a great place. It's usually pretty quiet which is nice. I feel I can really relax. And its in a really good area (parking lot, easily accessible, etc). That said, the best part is my stylist, Stephanie. I can show her the most random picture of what I want and she always makes it even better. She is also super perky and friendly. I lived in Chicago for the last 5 years and stuck with Steph. She was always willing to work me in on Saturday's that I was in Indy. I found this salon on Yelp after moving to Indy and needing to find my new go-to salon. Their first plus is their attentiveness when scheduling, they are happy to work with you and your schedule. They also offer appointment reminders via phone call, email, and text message. I have been working with Karen. She gets my style, and is equally talented with color and cut. She does a pretty great blowout too. I also like that it's not awkward if we don't chat during the entire appointment, as I am naturally quiet and I enjoy relaxing and zoning out a bit at the salon. Just moved to Indy and thought I would give this place a try. NEVER WILL I GO BACK. Kylie literally turned my hair orange, also did a terrible job on having the color even by my root and my trim was SO UNEVEN. On top of it they make you sign a waiver before getting work done saying they are not responsible anything that happens which is a red flag. THEY MADE ME PAY $160 for this ugly ass hair.
