Came here on a whim as I had a wedding to attend and my schedule didn't allow me to go to my salon. My tech was absolutely friendly and gentle while giving such a great foot massage. The only thing I didn't care for was the seating. Salons are starting to go the "waiting room" route with seating for pedis. While I think it's cute I personally struggle with finding a comfy position that's relaxing and allows the tech to do their job. Music played was enjoyable and a solid mix. read more

Everyone there was so kind and the music really created a nice, chill atmosphere. The conversation, technique, and result were fantastic. Highly recommend this nail salon!!! Wonderful customer service and very kind owner. Other positives are they use less toxic polishes and use jetless tubs for pedicures (so cleaner and safer!!!) I've been here twice now and the first visit wasn't the best but I wanted to give it another try (part of it was my fault and part of it was just not clicking with the person I had selected). The quality of the gel Polish is really very good and lasted for an entire two weeks without any chips at all! This salon is *very* clean and is very close to my house so I did want to give them another go. I tried a different nail professional the 2nd visit and she was fantastic!!! So glad I came again - this will be my new regular spot and she will be my preferred provider. Thank you for being awesome. I have been going to city nail bar pretty regularly since 2019, i am pretty busy so I never stuck to only one specific nail tech and everyone at City Nail is so talented that it has never been an issue after countless times getting my nails done. The space is very clean, they offer tea, sparkling water, and other fun drinks when you check in. They run on scheldue basically 100% of the time. They have great color options and do a great job keeping my nails looking healthy. I recently moved away from downtown Indy and after trying a handful of salons and being super underwhelmed I've decided to start traveling to get my service done at City Nail Bar. One of the best nail salons I've encountered. I was visiting for a conference and found them using Yelp. When I booked, I booked a silent pedicure. The vibe is chicken and trendy however they go old school with service. I asked Tiffany about restaurants and she said let me think about it and I'll tell you a few after your service. I like that she was honoring that I requested a silent pedicure. When having to do any filing at all she used a hand file NOT a drill/electric file. Wow! I'm not one to get a pedicure often- maybe once a year as a very special treat? So my recent visit to City Nail Bar was much-anticipated and a fun way to celebrate my birthday. The schedule process (all online) was very smooth and the staff was hospitable upon my arrival. I enjoyed the complimentary Prosecco while waiting to be seated. I was lucky to have Simone who was both friendly, professional and very talented. I often find that pedicures can be somewhat painful but she was very thoughtful in her approach and checked in with me along the way to see how things were going. If Tiffany was in a bad mood, she should have stayed home. My experience was quite poor, down to her not being patient to let me look at the nail colors, telling me where I needed to put the nail colors, being very rough with the scrub and sponge, leaving me with cuts on my feet, to crooked nails after her refusing to file my nails straight as I had asked. Ezmy does an absolutely stunning job! I highly recommend her - she is gentle with your nails and takes her time being sure your nails look perfect. I unfortunately have to say I have to stop going to see her though. I went to have polish removed this week and had an awful experience with a homeless man running up to my car window yelling sexual profanities. I understand that this is not City Nail Bar's fault but after I told my husband about the incident, and acknowledging that I felt scared, it is not worth it to revisit again. I need to find a location closer to my home in the suburbs. I hope that they eventually move locations and I can return! read more

A fine place to get nails done. Probably best suited for someone wanting nail art as opposed to just a typical gel manicure. I suppose them not using drills is a positive in some ways, but the nail tech made every single one of my fingers bleed while using the nail file instead of a drill. She was basically just filing my skin over and over. The most painful nail appointment I've had Lol and it was verrryyy slowww - I do think some technicians are great - Jimmy, for example, is very thorough and careful and costs less than the person I went to for this appointment. This place was great! I came on with gel polish on from another nail salon, and they were able to take it off easily and replace it with regular nail polish. The nail technician was extremely helpful. The color I chose was pearlescent and she pointed out that it might look nicer with some white underneath to make it pop, so that's what we did! She spent a lot of time making sure that my nails were perfectly shaped and making sure that I loved the polish. If I was in more of a rush I might have been annoyed by how long The appointment took, but I had nothing scheduled afterwards so I appreciated the attention to detail. There were plastic screens in front of every station and everyone wore masks the whole time. I felt very safe going there during covid and would go back. I love my nails, thanks! read more

I hate even leaving this review bc I don't want this place to be impossible to get into. But it is hands down the cleanest nail salon I've ever seen! Plus they only offer services that won't damage the heck out of your nails (they do not offer dip or acrylic but try the Apres!). The Apres nails last soooo long, like mine still looked amazing 3+ weeks and that's including hand washing dishes. Booking is super easy and they can do all types of nail art. Such mixed feelings about this place. Things I love? Being able to make a reservation on my phone, easy (paid) street parking right in front, and the clean, "natural" environment. Things I don't love? My polish always chips faster than usual and my service time always takes longer than scheduled. I usually try to get in on a lunch break so I need to get back to the office and not be stuck an extra 30-45 minutes each time. Also more expensive than many other places around. On my first visit, my gel polish last about 6 days before chipping but I was going out of town and wouldn't be back until the 10th day, which I think is their "guarantee" for fixing it, so I just let it go. And then on my most recent visit, my polish looked really bad and smudged before I ever left but I didn't have more time to stay and have it fixed. I did call later that day because it really did look awful, and they got me in the next day to have it repaired. The owner was VERY kind and apologetic and offered to do gel as a replacement for no extra cost. I was much happier about it after that but still annoyed that I had to go 2 days in a row and both appointments took longer than I expected. So I'd give it 3 stars in general, but boosting to 4 because of the good customer service. read more

I can get down with a "ten day no chipping policy." In other words, if your nails chip within ten days of having them done, you can return and get them patched up for free. I don't remember my manicurist's name but she was really nice and conversation flowed freely. She did a great job on my (short) nails and they're still looking good so far. The owner was nice and the other employees seemed to be having a good time in the shop as well. They have about a hundred colors to choose from and you can opt for gel or regular. read more

I made an appointment online (I would highly encourage you to schedule a week in advance if you want an evening spot, since those seem to fill quickly). Otherwise, booking is straightforward and easy. I received a basic gel manicure from Michelle. Michelle took her time to make sure my nails were taken care of and employees ask if everything is to your liking before polish is put on. My polish is not clumpy looking when my nail is looked at from a side angle. And I appreciated how Michelle took my request of short nails and made my nails short. One of my favorite aspects of this City Nail Bar is that I never feel rushed through my appointment like I have at other nail salons. There is metered street parking in front of the nail salon. Thank goodness this place opened! I've been dying for a decent nail salon downtown! I've been going here since they opened and have nothing but good things to say. You can book your appointment online so you can plan ahead with your day. The staff is friendly and timely... I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment which is unheard of at most salons. Color selection is great and they event use a bio seaweed gel which has done wonders for my nails. I love that their gel manicures are more gentle than other salons yet still manage to stay in tact within the first two weeks, until they start growing out. Last winter I paid a little extra to do a nail art gel manicure with Madison for an upcoming holiday party.
