Kim's zeal for constantly learning and continuing her education is impressive, and she is currently working on a PhD in something involving epigenetic influences on the body. Yes, she is a brainiac, too! I just met Starlight, who is Kim's new assistant. Starlight gave me an impromptu, hands-on energy healing at the end of my session with Kim. Wow, just wow. I will be starting up with some ionic foot soaks with Kim for detoxification starting next week. I have done foot soaks elsewhere, but I am opting for doing it at Aristocats, due to the state of the art technology of the equipment. i can't say enough positive about Kim and her work. And her studio/boutique is small and charming and super tasteful. Kim is the only clinician, so it's not like I'm surrounded by a bunch of other people when I go in. The bad: We waited about 10-15 minutes for someone to show up and help us, so we were a bit rushed to change before our appointment that says to show up 15 minutes prior. The twin flame rose petal candlelit bath was very underwhelming. From the description, I was under the impression the bath would be filled with rose petals and it would be a dark, candlelit bath. The lights were on, the windows open so people could see us if they were outside, there was one candle and the roses were on top on the bath and on the table. For $700 for a total of 90 mins, I would think it would be a little grander than this. I wrote down that we were celebrating getting married in the questionnaire and we were not offered anything. From other spas I've been to where I received birthday massages and an engagement massage that had a little cheese or truffle plate that said "happy birthday" or "congrats" which was such a nice, small gesture. We were also told that we'd be given 5 minutes to dry off and change to what we needed to for the massage after the bath. The door was knocked about 3 times asking if we were ready after about 2 minutes and I felt more stressed than relaxed. There were also no snacks offered. This has the potential to be a nicer experience with much needed customer service improvements.
