I contacted this company based on their information at the Installer Center at Menards. They had ALL of the boxes checked under services offered. I had them replace a tub and shower surround and to repair a leak in my kitchen ceiling. They came out right away and did an adequate job on the tub replacement. They cut a hole in my kitchen ceiling and told me that it was out of their skill set (even though they had all the plumbing boxes checked) and that they would refer me to a plumber. I hadn't heard from Michael in a week, so I started calling and texting with no response. In the meantime, I was living with a bucket in the middle of my kitchen floor. I finally had to hire a plumber, who came out within 24 hours and took care of the problem. This added $300 to the $4300 paid to No Limits. I then began trying to contact Michael, as he had promised he would come back and repair the ceiling after the plumbing was taken care of. Again, no response. The original work was done July 6, 2024. It is now October 19 and I still have a gaping hole in my ceiling. I do not recommend dealing with these people. If you do, do not pay your full bill until ALL of the work is completed. read more

First and foremost, don't ever and I mean don't ever use No Limits. They should be called Many Limits not No Limits. Mike the owner is a smooth talking bullshitter, he will promise you the moon get your 50% deposit then keep you hanging because he outsources most of his work. I hired him to do a small job of replacing some fascia on the west side of my house. It was high and he did charge me a high fee along with a steep fee. Then he had some guy come out with just a ladder to do the job 3 months after he got my $250 deposit. That was after I had to keep calling and bugging the office. They never called first they only responded after I keep rattling their cage to get this job complete. The first so called project manager was a young girl and when I called her she hung up on me. Mike did come out one day when it was raining all day and obviously could not do the job, but he was quick to point out that he could replace my entire roof. I told him don't worry about that let's get this fascia job done. Second I would not let Mike build my dog a house let alone replace the shingles on my home. They made my 90-year-old grandma sign a form just to give a quote. They said she had to sign for them to go in and give her a quote. It ended up she hired them without knowing. They ended up calling 6-7 Times asking when they were going to do the work. Also calling our insurance company getting information without our knowledge. I hired Mike, the owner of No Limits Construction and restoration, inc. He installed a sliding door backwards in my home, which caused a leak and ruined the ceiling below. When confronted he became unwilling to fix his companies mistake. He will take your money but does not stand by his work. He bashes other "professional contractors " when he himself isn't one. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY EVER! I had a horrible experience with this company. Mike told me that all his workers and his company were a more modern and professional style construction company. He said that his workers would keep their work area picked up at the end of every day and there would be a predominantly dust free environment. Since I have Lupus this was important to me. They were supposed to close off the work area wit plastic sheeting and he told me my floors would be protected. They did no such thing. They cut materials in my house instead if outside and dust was everywhere. They got paint on my hardwood floors and set heavy tools with sharp edged directly on the floor leaving all kinds of marks. My house was destroyed and I had to hire a professional to clean it. But that is just the beginning. The day before work was supposed to start Samantha had texted me the names of who would be coming and what time they would be there. It was supposed to be Mike and Charles. They never showed. So I called Samantha and asked where they were because I don't have all day to wait. I called mike but he never answered or got back to me. So Samantha shows up with Adam who is a 3rd party contractor. Adam has no idea what he is doing or what needs to be done, Samantha says she will take him back to the office and give him a work order she just wanted to stop by my house first to grab the house key. I did not want to be in my house while I have no bathroom and people are tearing out walls and tubs and breathing in all that stuff so I had planned on being away for the demo part. Well Adam really has no clue and the only person from no limits who ever came by was Doug the project manager who is supposed to over see everything. He failed miserably. They filled in a recess they were not supposed to and did it horribly. They had no clue on plumbing used the cheapest materials possible and had a water leak underneath the sheet rock they put up. They also worked ass backwards and tiled tiled the floor before they did anything else. It was Horrible. Tiles cut to short and sticking up and they were walking on in before they could set so they just pulled right up. Then they painted and they did not prime ,prep,or remove any old paint. And it had show through spots everywhere. Also he didnt even take everything off the walls before he painted. I still had my old lighting bracket on. Then they hung wainscoating which they were not supposed to do. It was going to be added om until Mike wanted $1000 to put up 3 pieces and hand a prehung door. So we were going to do it ourselves. They were trying to sneek things in and charge me later. They had used their fingers to put mud on and they had big black screws sticking out. When I came home and seen this nonsense I fired them right then and there. Mike tried to give me the runaround about giving me my money back until I told him I would take him to court. He damaged my existing property, ruined the materials I purchased myself, did a piss poor job and never once came to my house to see the damage for himself or apologized in any way. I cant prove it but he has some shady things going on at the Portage Menards. He has flyers there and wants you to buy all your stuff from there. When I had a item i wanted to put in his bin they asked for his last name. I didnt know it so I called him to ask. He would not give it then asked to speak with the guy I was talking to. When I got back on the phone he said that guy must be new there and not know him because that is private information. Also his office on Old Ridge road in Hobart has a No Limits sign that goes up and down constantly which I think is weird. And for a construction company to have a small house that looks like it needs to be condemned for a office seems weird to me as well. If you are thinking about dealing with No Limits Construction and Restoration Inc. I would highly advise against it. If I could give them zero stars I would. My husband and I have been pulling our hair out the last 3 weeks dealing with these people. We should have listened to our friends who told us not to do business with them, after having a fence installed through them. Samantha came to our home 4/13 and quoted us a price for a fence. At first she came up with an obscene number at the top of her head, which should have been my first warning. I called her out on it, seeing as we had already had another estimate from a fencing company, I knew the ballpark range. She then told me it would cost $1000 to remove our old chain link fence. Interesting, since the last company had told us $1/ft. Once again called her out on it. Then she told me "oh no you're right, it's not that much at all." She then went to another part of our yard, where we couldn't hear her, and called her boss Mike. She then came back with a price $100 lower than the last company quoted, and said we could put whatever amount down, and then make monthly payments to them for the next 12 months for the remainder of the cost. Sounded like a good deal right? So we put down 25%, signed a contract for the work to be done by May 13, and off she went. I had arrived to that meeting at our home with Samantha late, so when I got a call from a gentleman a week later asking to come measure our yard I was very surprised. Where did she come up with the amount for our fence if no one measured? I quickly called the owner and he responded very cocky with "we do this a lot. We know how big a yard is". Ok cool. Sounds like BS, but whatever you say. When is it getting started? Couldn't give me an answer. A couple days later NIPSCO comes out and places flags along our back yard. Same day a very nice man explaining he was a subcontractor for "No Limits" arrives to measure our backyard. My husband explained to him that he wasn't very happy with "No Limits" so far. He told Jeremy all the other customers he dealt with through "No Limits" also seemed unhappy. So a week goes by and we call and call, with no response, to find out when our project will get started. No response. Owner finally calls us and states that he needs to come REMEASURE. When they finally showed up (1.5 hours late), I again asked when they would start. "Late this week of early next week". So the week goes by and after calling consistently we finally hear from Doug on Wednesday, that they are ordering our supplies. Well now TODAY, 3 weeks have gone by and we still haven't heard when they will start. My husband calls and calls with no response. I leave voice messages for everyone and FINALLY Samantha calls me back. They NOW want 50% down and will not order our supplies or start our job until payment is received. And after telling me how much the supplies will cost (which by the way is less than half of what the completed job would cost). I tell her absolutely not. What was the point of a contract?! You said "put down whatever you want", why are you NOW, three weeks later asking for more money? I asked to just cancel the headache of a fence, and to return our money. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company. The good news is my husband talked to the subcontractor, who informed him that the amount Samantha told us for supplies was not in fact correct, and actually cheaper. Also offered to do the fence for a cheaper price. So here's to hoping we get our money back in a timely manner. read more
