Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

I honestly don't even know where to start, but get ready for this ride. There have been countless calls and emails to Mike, Larry, and Joe to ensure my small business is in compliance and filings are done correctly is outrageous. I have copies of every single interaction, call log, and incorrect quarterly sales tax filings. I received a NY delinquent sales tax letter that they never addressed. Letter after letter and a penalty fee that I am not responsible for. Was it handled? I have no idea because their communication is terrible. What about filing my quarterly taxes all under the state of PA instead of splitting it up correctly to each state? I've asked this to be corrected for months now. What about not even filing my quarterly taxes for the states I do business in? What about the sales tax permits Ive been requesting since DECEMBER 2025? No one is ever in the office to go meet in person. When you call the office, you'll get either Andrea or Lina, and they will give you a BS response. They will tell you they are either on the phone or out of the office. I ask for a return call and it has never happened. Ever! Not once have never spoken to Mike, Larry, or Joe on the phone. Its an absolute joke. This company is by far the most incompetent group I've ever encountered. I held off long enough writing this, hoping one of them would care enough to fix the errors they've made and we can move forward. Now? I will make sure to spread the word to avoid this business. The amount of frustration and headaches this place has given me a ridiculous. Please take your business elsewhere. Enter Morris. He takes care of the things that send me into a tizzy - sales, expenses, taxes (note: he's not a CPA; I have someone else for that who works seamlessly with Morris). He is reliable, thorough, responsive, patient, organized, personable, and more useful than just balancing the books. He loves working with small businesses and he actually spends time helping you organize your numbers, process, and thoughts (his company can also help you with business plans). He charges monthly, not hourly, so I always feel like I can call or email him without racking up a bill. I am one of his smallest clients (he is the CFO for Metropolitan Bakery, among others) and feel like I get fantastic customer service. Basically, I just really, really trust him and that's after going through 4 CPAs, 1 financial advisor, and 2 bookkeepers in the last 5 years. When you're having someone deal with something as personal as your very own business, you understand how important it is to truly trust the guy who manages the numbers. I almost hesitate to write this review because I don't want to share his time with others but such service deserves as much business as it can get, especially because I know he wouldn't take on business that would hurt his current clients. Call him.
