Fair, honest and reasonable pricing. Never had an issue. Great communication and good scheduling.read more

I was looking for a second opinion on a furnace replacement and air conditioner replacement, and…read moreI'm certainly happy I chose Donnie Rowe. I knew I needed a new air conditioning unit, as it has been working poorly and leaking for years, and I was told by another HVAC company in the fall that my furnace was dangerously in need to replacing. Wyatt came out and looked over everything. I gave him every opportunity to take advantage of the situation. I was prepared to replace a furnace and two air conditioning units if need be. In the end, Wyatt recommended replacing one air conditioning unit and told me the furnace was safe and not in need to replacing. He recommended I upgrade from a 2 ton unit to a 2.5 ton unit. Aaron came out to replace the air conditioner a few days later. He did a great job and left minimal debris to clean up. The new system cools my upstairs better than I had even hoped for. Value? I really don't know. Everything seems so high now. But I would say that Wyatt could have socked me with a furnace a two air conditioners, so the value I'd say is with the honest evaluation and recommendations you get. I wanted to work with simply an HVAC company, not one of these do it all HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses they all seem to be moving to. I like people who focus and specialize. I strongly recommend the business and will be working with them in the future.

Good company overall. Used them for years. Had one of their monthly plans where you pay a small fee…read moreto get priority services, which did come in handy a couple of times. I will, however, forewarn anyone, they will not refund you the last month of your monthly service fee even if it is just 2 days over and you no longer own the home. My card was charged on the 15th, I officially closed on the sale of my home on the 16th, called to cancel my service on the 17th, and was told by them on the 18th they would NOT be refunding my monthly service charge for that month; the coverage would run through the next month even though I no longer own the home. Adamantly refused is how I would best describe it. They did confirm I would not be charged again after this. Sure, they were very chatty and polite about it, likening the monthly service fee to a month-to-month gym membership, but under no terms would they refund it. I don't own the house anymore. I waited until after the official close to cancel my membership because had something with the furnace or water heater arisen I would have been responsible until the house changed hands, and I wanted to have use of the service I paid for in case I needed it. Thankfully, I did not. This aside they are still a good provider if you need to have your furnace serviced. I did not use them for my water heater replacement because they quoted me several hundred dollars more than what I ultimately paid to get a brand new one installed by another provider. I will certainly keep this in mind the next time I get an offer for any type of monthly membership from these types of services. Updated 07/22/2018 For whatever reason they decided to issue a refund for the service even though I had given up my attempts to request one after I was told on the phone they absolutely would not. So, it was a nice surprise. But I suspect it was only after someone higher up noticed my review and had a change of heart or realized how irrational it was for me to have a service carry over for another month on a home I don't even own. Either way, I'm satisfied. In fairness, I will increase my score with another star.

Early Saturday morning I discovered water flooding the laundry room of my significant other's…read moretownhouse and realized the water heater was leaking. I turned off the water supply rendering the condo with no water. Now what? Who do I call in Lexington, a town I'm not that familiar with much. She called her sister in Versailles but her recommendation of a past plumber she had used previously was closed for the weekend. So I did a search on Yelp first, skipping over a couple of plumbers with some not so good reviews and found Bluegrass advertised as being 24/7 and Shonda C.'s review listed first. She is in my friends list and I trust her reviews. I also saw photo's of the business owner and his family, plus some of his past work, indicating to me I was looking at an honest man. But to be sure, I utilized BBB for a background check and found zero complaints in the past year, an A+ rating and that they were BBB Accredited. So I gave them a call. Ron answered the phone at 7:52 am on a Saturday. This was a huge indicator to me I was going to be doing business with a good company. He told me he had one customer ahead of me but that he would be over between 11:30-12:30 and that he would call thirty minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He called me back at 10:26 am and arrived in 15 minutes. He assessed the work to be done, quoted a price, then left to pick up a new water heater and associated parts & pieces and arrived back around an hour later. I doubled checked with my sister, who owns five houses, on his quoted price and found he came in little bit less than her prediction. Ron and his son, who was helping him, installed a new water heater, and upgraded the water pipes and gas line, along with new valves on both, to meet today's codes. He completed the work in two and a half hours. We were completely 100% satisfied with the work, his timeliness, consideration of cleanliness and knowledge of his trade. Would not hesitate to call him again for any plumbing needs.

Ron came out and cleared the pipe in no time, left no mess, and charged a fair price. He was super friendly, nice guy. Glad we could hire a locally owned small business that cares.
