I met with several trainers before Brad & had little to no success in the areas we needed most, I was exhausted. Now for the first time ever, I can leave him home alone without the overwhelming anxiety and guilt that used to come with it. Our walks are actually enjoyable again, and I feel confident bringing him around friends and into new environments. What I appreciate most is that the training gave me the tools and confidence to understand and communicate with my dog better. I have my freedom back, and Cash is happier and more relaxed because of it. If you're struggling with separation anxiety, behavioral issues, or just want a better relationship with your dog, I can't recommend Brad enough. The impact has been life-changing.

Like many reviews have mentioned, we too were skeptical about seeing results within one in-person…read moresession. Nonetheless, we are so happy we found Brad! My boyfriend and I took in our cattle dog, Ollie, as a stray almost 4 months ago. Quick background: Ollie was found tied to a fire hydrant outside my work. Ollie is the sweetest boy, however is very reactive to other dogs and is a bundle of energy that presents as endless jumping and nipping. We have a senior Saint Bernard at home in which Ollie has been too rough/aggressive with her, even when our Saint Bernard makes it known that she doesn't want to be bothered. We tried water sprays at home and other attempts at training to no avail. We began to feel helpless as our biggest concern was his relationship with our Saint Bernard, as it got to the point where we felt we had to consider rehoming him. During our session with Brad, we immediately saw results which had us dumbfounded. Like other reviews have mentioned, his technique is not "mean," but is a firm mindset that Ollie requires. All the while, Brad emphasizes when to correct your dog and when to praise him, while stressing the fact that these techniques are not made to scare your dog, but rather establish a leader mentality while simultaneously letting the dog know that you provide love and safety. Of course, like any training, one can only be successful when carrying over these learned techniques at home, but Brad left us feeling confident and ready to continue the work. Even when we got home today, we already had seen a shift from Ollie. As for Brad himself - he is very approachable and really looks to understand both the dog and all the circumstances that come with them. You could really get a sense of how personal he is. We definitely recommend him. Thank you so much, Brad!

I'm very disappointed with my experience with this company. I signed up and paid in full for Basic…read moretraining for my dog. The first class was canceled because the instructor was ill. A different instructor conducted the class the following week. I received an unprofessional and threatening email from the original trainer. The email disparaged the trainer who stepped in and requested (demanded) that I scheduled a private training session at a reduced fee to get "caught up" . I was uncomfortable with the lack of communication and unprofessional behavior from the trainer. I requested some type of refund since I was not going to train with them any further. I received another email denying any portion of my fees be refunded. Lesson learned for me, I suppose. I would definitely NOT recommend using this company.

After her only giving me a 1 week notice for the board and train, she told me that she wouldn't be able to take my dog. She agreed to work with me on returning my $550 deposit, after many attempts to contact her for resolving the deposit return she ignored all my emails and phone calls. I even went so far as to say I would work with her and she could pay me back monthly but still no response. I've learned a hard lesson in trusting someone to do what they agree to. I would definitely never recommend her for any training based on her lack of professionalism. Don't waste your money as I have

We brought our 2-year-old rescue chihuahua mix, Harry, to Sal in hopes that he could help us address these more significant trauma-related issues. Harry was a tough nut to crack, but after the one-week board and train, we were blown away by the positive changes we saw. Sal and his team made incredible breakthroughs with Harry. He was able to be held and touched by the trainers, stopped guarding, and became noticeably calmer and happier overall. The post-board and train "tune-ups" were also extremely effective, allowing us to troubleshoot concerns during our 1:1 follow-up sessions with Sal. Harry has continued to return to Sal for day boarding, touch-ups, and additional socialization with other dogs, which he loves. He is always excited to see Sal and the training staff, which tells us the experience was truly positive for him. Now that we've completed the initial training and several boarding sessions, Harry is doing great. We can have people enter our home, he can go to the vet, get his teeth cleaned with no anesthesia, and receive care without needing to be muzzled or heavily medicated, and he is much more compliant overall. A bonus is that we can now confidently leave Harry for a day or vacation boarding, knowing he is in the best care and continuing his training while we're away. We can't recommend Sal and his team enough for their incredible work, professionalism, and responsiveness with Harry.

We were amazed when we picked him after the 2 weeks.. he was able to focus on walks, has 'place' and 'home' down, and overall behaves much better in public. We reached out to Sal because we needed help getting Russer to focus and listen to us in public.. we can now take him to the beach, walks, and just about anywhere without worrying about him lunging at another dog or barking. Russer is also very obsessed with his 'uncle Sal.' Whenever we need to go away for the weekend, we drop off Russer to stay with Sal which is a relief to know he's getting a training refresh and is staying with someone we fully trust. He also has such a blast socializing with the other dogs. Overall, the team at Obey My Commands knows what they're doing and is a team you can fully trust with your pup

Here's the old review We brought our two sibling pit bulls here, and thought we'd be getting the help we really needed. Our female was a bit skittish, and the male was beginning to show some signs of fear based aggression. We paid for the full course, and a few days later we came to our first class. Immediately upon meeting our male, the main trainer walked over with a bite training sleeve on and antagonized him, causing him to react as you'd expect a fear based aggressive dog to react. Then every time the main trainer came near him, he'd further antagonize him and make sudden threatening movements and tell me to pull on his prong collar as hard as I could to correct him. Basically every time he walked by he'd antagonize my male. I'm no trainer, but antagonizing a dog probably isn't going to desensitize him very effectively. I didn't realize that I had apparently signed up for a bite training course. Then a fire truck came driving by with it's siren blaring at about 100 feet away. It scared most of the dogs, but also made our skittish female plant her butt down and refuse to move. The trainer then began yelling at my girlfriend to pull her. Honestly the next 5 minutes consisted of him yelling at her to pull her as hard as she could with her prong collar until he finally came over and proceeded to literally drag her back and forth for a few minutes. Our female was freaked out. We were told to come back the following weekend for the next class at 8am I think it was. We were already irritated and freaked out but figured we'd give it another chance and decided to come one more time. They told us to buy prong collars, and said they'd show us how to properly use them, so we did before the next class. When we arrived the trainer said in a snarky voice "you guys are gonna be waiting a while, cause your class isn't until 10". Three different trainers had told us to come at 8 am, so we did, and then we had to leave and come back two hours later due to their horrible scheduling/communication skills. So we return two hours later with our new prong collars, and the main trainer that antagonized and dragged our dogs was walking up, and we heard him say to his assistant about our male "I don't like that dog". What kind of dog trainer says that? He then again antagonized him and as my dog barked he told me "if you don't learn how to control your dog I'm not going to train him". Really?! I thought I paid you guys hundreds of dollars to help me learn how to get a handle on this, and that you'd show me how to use the prong collar as you said you would one week prior. Your website and your assessment both explained how you specialize in this, but I need to miraculously show up for training already knowing how to keep my fear based aggressive 75 lb pit bull from barking at your antagonistic tactics? So the remainder of the class was a little better, and the trainer lightened up a little as he noticed that my male did in fact listen to my commands and was capable of learning, and being mellow. He tried working with our skittish female again, and again he dragged her. We never returned, and after their "professional" training of two full classes. My male was 5 times as aggressive with strangers after the main trainer worked his wonders, and my female was scared of everything. She wouldn't even move if she saw a leash, and she'd stop moving in the street if anything remotely spooked her. She wasn't like that at all before. Both of our dogs had way more issues than they came in with, and we've been working with them for about 9 months just to undo some of that. I should mention that with the other dogs that were there, his method of teaching them to lay down was to use a prong collar, and jerk the dogs downwards. Luckily our dogs already knew how to lay down so they were spared this method. My dogs both learned how to lay down in ten minutes with the rocket science method of using a treat held down to the ground. Also we were refused a refund, and we only participated in two classes. Over all this place really sucked, and the attitude of the main trainer was horrible in numerous ways. He just seemed like a cranky cop when they're writing you a ticket. We've spoken with lots of trainers and veterinarians, and we've heard a lot of the same thing. Everybody says "yeah, we've heard some real bad stuff about them". I wish we would've known before wasting money, and having our dogs end up with worse issues than they initially had beforehand. My feelings are that this was an immense rip off that we continue to pay for, and that the main trainer was borderline abusive. I wouldn't let him pick up my dog's feces, and I highly suggest that you do not bring your dog here. Perhaps they're ok at training police dogs to be police dogs, but keep your pets far away from this place.

I had previously tried Board and Train programs at Sit Means Sit twice, but they didn't help with KB's anxiety at all. Tony was a completely different experience. What sets Tony apart is how thorough he is. He didn't just give commands; he constantly explained the "why" behind KB's behaviors. He was also incredibly supportive of me, helping me work through my own fears and nervousness. Because of his guidance, I can now actually play box with KB without the fear that he'll suddenly react toward me. We covered so much ground, including: * Command & Muzzle Work: Building a foundation of safety and communication. * Boundaries: KB used to be glued to my side whenever I answered the door. Now, he can stay calmly on the couch while I greet someone, and he stays indoors even when I go through the patio door. * Safety & Care: Tony was always so accommodating with scheduling. If it was too hot for an outdoor session, he would proactively suggest changing it for KB's safety. If you feel stuck or overwhelmed with your dog's behavior, go to Tony. He turned everything around for us, and I'm so grateful for the confidence he's given both me and KB.
