When Leanna does pickup/drop off she comes in and has a full conversation with my cat and makes sure she gets belly scratches. The van always has the AC running full blast to make sure there is never a heat related incident. It is super unfair to assume there was any kind of mishandling of the pups in their care. In response to the 1 star review by a very uneducated woman who instead of having a civil conversation, assumed she knew the situation and ran to post a bad review: My dogs have been with OC Lucky Dogs for three years now. I not only wholeheartedly trust Kayleen and Leanna to come in and out of our home but trust them literally with my dogs' lives. Kayleen takes the time to get to know your dog and understand their triggers before ever introducing them to the pack. The work does not stop there, she continues to assess and work with the dogs as needed. When Leanna came on, my dog took to her right away. He waits at the door for her to pick him up with his tail happily wagging. When they introduced my other dog, that was a daycare fail due to being reactive in that type of environment, they once again slowly worked her into the pack and she is 100 times happier than she ever was going to daycare. Both my dogs are sensitive to heat and Kayleen and Leanna are hyper vigilant of that, and monitor them throughout the walk. They have canceled walks due to extreme heat knowing that the safety of the dogs in their care is the priority, not profits. They know our dogs inside and out and tell us if ANYTHING seems off about them during their walk so we can keep an eye on them. I was devastated to hear about the recent situation of the man that called himself a trainer, that had multiple dogs in his care die, but when I read that headline all I could think of was how grateful I was to have my dogs in the hands of Leanna and Kayleen. Kayleen is incredible with our puppy! She is always so calm and speaks so patiently as she works with Bella! We have used her for training and for pack walks. She has helped us tremendously with teaching us how to train Bella on her commands, how to be less reactive, how to be fulfilled, etc. Bella also goes on two pack walks a week with Kayleen. Kayleen is in training mode with her the second she walks up so that way Bella, who can get too excited when she knows she gets to see her doggy friends, will be safe and calm when she gets into the truck. Kayleen always has her truck running and the air on for the dogs that are waiting inside. She calmly gives commands so Bella is in a sitting position and is then able to calmly and safely jump up into the truck. She always puts safety first. We receive the cutest pictures from these pack walks of all of these dogs that are walking or sitting in a calm state.
