    Our more confident pup.

If it wasn't for Falco Dog Training, Zack and his trainers we would still have a timid scared dog that was very reactive. As hard as it was for us to leave her for three weeks so she could get the proper training the outcome was 100% worth it. Thank you so much for helping us and our pup. Our pup now enjoys her walks as she is way more confident and loves smelling her surroundings. Her first trip to puppy beach was a success.

Zack is hands down the BEST trainer I've worked with. I have a rescue Mal who has quite the personality. Within a single 1:1 session, there were already massive improvements. With a focus on training not only the dog but also the handler, it helped create a respectful bond between myself and my dog. I continued my journey with Falco by joining classes such as the Intro to Nose Work, Friday night classes, and boarding for my dog. I cannot recommend Falco and Zack more to anyone who needs training.

    Obedient well balance dog!

Zack is fabulous training humans as much as dogs. Our 19 month Border Collie started off an anti-social, out of control, and very disobedient pup. He was a dog that could not be enjoyed! We started with Board & Train which brought our dog, Zephy, into enough control that we could start to train more easily as he was lunging, a lot less, at people and other dogs. Zephy was only about 7 months old. Today we finished level 4 Obedience class and also doing Nose Work. We are so proud of our pup and enjoy so many activities with him. Zephy has become a "family" dog and not just a pet. We were fortunate to find Zack back when he was with The Royal K9, and he has made all the difference!! His methods are never cruel and really focus on the bond between you and your animal. I believe that is the difference between an obedient animal and a well behaved well balanced companion. We are continuing with advanced training. I highly recommend and encourage you to try out Falco.

TL;DR: Awesome! I highly recommend them. I brought my 8 month old GSD (Bella) to Falco's beginner obedience course so that I can learn how to have a meaningful relationship with her as I knew she was capable of so much but I had never trained a dog before. Gina (and team) helped me not only teach Bella how to walk properly, come when called, sit in-place for extended amount of time (1 hour+), and many other valuable and neat skills, but more importantly they helped me understand how to teach and lead Bella. After graduating this course, I feel like Bella looks to me as her leader and I am equipped to lead her. I enjoyed this course immensely and look forward to continuing on through intermediate and advanced courses. There are plenty of dog training businesses around me yet I'm willing to drive minimum 40 min each way (assuming I'm able to miss traffic) to come to Falco. They are awesome!!

Captain after passing his Intermediate level with Trainer Gabi! Is this award more for me than it is for him?? Hmm...

Again, cannot write more raving reviews about this company. I promise, I am not endorsed or sponsored by them. I am writing this on my own accord. We've finished Intermediate training and currently on Advanced training. I've said it before - sometimes I think that the training classes are meant for us owners more so than the pups themselves. The dogs just get it and they know what to do, we're the ones being trained!

Zack was the best! He was great @ knowing what worked for or dogs personally & he was spot on!

Our 7 month old learning how to stay in place during his puppy obedience class

We just completed puppy obedience classes with Gabby and it has done wonders for our 7 month old. We had great success with our first dog so we wanted to use Falco K9 Academy again. Gabby and the Falco staff exceeded our expectations once again. They give dog owners the right tools to properly work with their dogs. We now have a better bond with our dog and can't wait continue to their intermediate classes. If you're looking for dog training, look no further because this is the best in OC

We have two French bulldogs (1 y/o and 7 m/o) that have been a little behind the curve when it comes to socialization and obedience training and we had been looking for local trainers for several months trying to determine the best course of action. We were referred to Falco Dog Training by a local business owner in Fullerton who had done private sessions with her two labs and we immediately reached out to do a private in-home assessment of our two pups to see what they would recommend. One of the challenges for us is our work schedule and making time in the evenings, but Derek and Gina came to our home on a Saturday which was perfect and beyond convenient. Derek did an initial assessment of our pups' behavior and explained a lot of things regarding the psychology of our dogs that really helped us gain a better understanding of their individual behavior and mannerisms. We then tested their socialization with Gina's dog Kona, to determine if there were any major socialization concerns before Derek made his recommendation for future training. After all was said and done, he felt that they would do great in Falco's beginner obedience group sessions and we decided to sign up. They offer weeknight sessions as well as Saturday sessions which provides flexibility if you have a tough schedule to work around. The first few weeks of class were a challenge because having other dogs around was very distracting for our pups, but as we went through our exercises, practiced what we learned each week, and stayed consistent by awarding good behavior and correcting bad behavior, we saw a substantial amount of improvement by the end of the beginner classes. From initially being very "barky", lunging at distractions while on the leash, and not listening to commands, our pups passed their beginner class with flying colors. They no longer bark unless provoked (which we are still working on), they follow their commands (sit, down, stay, come, heel) perfectly, they no longer pull at the leash when we walk them, and overall they are doing better around other dogs. As much as it was about training our pups, it was even more about training ourselves to be consistent and provide the right type of guidance so that they could learn and improve. We still need to work on socialization, but the improvements they made in the short 7-week period really impressed us and we plan to continue working with Falco through their intermediate group sessions. If you are looking for a team of people who really care about the success of you and your pups, then Gina, Derek, and Amanda with Falco Dog Training are the team to do it.

Hello, my biggest issue with my dog is his separation anxiety. He tears up my entire apartment when left alone. He breaks out of his crate and has even broken down one of my doors. It's really terrible. Would you be able to help with this?

Regarding the protection training, my boxer is currently only 4 months old. What would be the best age or when would she be ready for an evaluation? And what does the evaluation consist of?

Evaluation is a meeting with you, the dog, and either one or two trainers. The trainer will observe dog reaction to certain direction and stimulus, and basically evaluate the dog and also speak with you about your goals. The age to begin training…

I'd worked with two trainers, including a 3 week board-and-train program ($5,000 investment), followed every instruction, and practiced daily, yet I didn't see changes. I was managing the behavior without ever understanding what was causing it. That changed within the first two hours with Brad. He didn't start with commands or tools. Instead, he focused on the psychology behind Sunny's reactions: what was driving them, what was reinforcing them, and what I was unknowingly communicating. No one had ever explained it that clearly. That was the turning point. For the first time, I wasn't guessing or correcting blindly. I could see what Sunny was experiencing in real time and understand how my timing, energy, and responses were shaping his behavior. That clarity changed everything. Walks feel completely different now. Sunny is no longer pulls since my training with Brad, the reactive outbursts are gone, and the experience itself is calm. I'm no longer bracing for problems because I know how to prevent them. I am SO appreciative!

A couple of these weren't terribly serious, but we felt we weren't "in charge" anymore, that our dog wasn't getting the message from whatever we were doing, and that if we didn't do something different, it could really get out of control. Brad really helped us with this, where traditional "training" wasn't working. We have two or three things we're working on with our girl, but here is the most dramatic change we had with one issue. She is very food motivated, and would beg from us at the table whenever we sat down to eat, and would be underfoot in the kitchen during prep. She got overly excited and would not settle and lie down. Brad explained we weren't communicating well with her on a dog level, so to get that communication kicked in to gear, he actually started our session not with this problem, but with making sure she would not dash out the front door when it was opened. This was to establish that we were in charge and what was expected of her. What he showed us how to do worked like you wouldn't believe. It was like a light bulb went off for our girl. What we did affected everything after that. It wasn't about dashing out the door, it wasn't about begging for food, it was about knowing what was acceptable in our pack and to look to us for direction. That night, at dinner, she went to her "spot" with a simple direction and was relaxed during our entire meal. She can now be directed to her spot and will stay quietly any time we need her to. Best of all, she seems truly relieved that she doesn't have to be in charge and that WE are. She is much more relaxed around so many other things. It gave us so much more confidence! I didn't think that what Brad taught us would work. It's quite counterintuitive. But trust me, it worked like magic. This is not dog training - it's communication with your dog. Brad answers all your questions, doesn't waste your time, shows you clearly and directly what will work. We're so thankful we found him!

I was ready to move out with Charlie from the house we had just bought with my mother-in-law because his barking was driving her crazy. Johnnie was patient, knowledgeable, and explained everything in a way that was easy for us to understand and practice at home. The results were noticeable right away. Charlie learned to stop excessive barking, respond consistently to the "leave it" command, and the "place" command has been a game changer for helping him stay calm and settled when guests come over or when things get busy around the house especially at the door and in front of the house. Charlie is also now comfortable riding in a car with us going places, when before he was a shaky mess. Johnny also supported us through Charlie's picky eating. Working with Vladae will!…read more We've been working with Vladae for about four months with our now six-and-a-half-month-old Golden Retriever, Coach, and it has been one of the best investments we've made. What sets Vladae apart is that he doesn't just train dogs, he teaches owners how to build a lifelong relationship with them. Every lesson leaves us with practical tools, clear direction, and the confidence to continue the training every single day. Because of that, the progress doesn't stop when the session ends. Vladae has an incredible ability to understand dogs. Watching him read a dog's behavior, body language, and mindset is genuinely fascinating. He knows exactly how to communicate with each dog in a way they understand, and it's clear this comes from years of experience and a deep understanding of canine psychology. He's also one of the most invested professionals we've ever worked with. Throughout the week, he encourages us to send videos, provides thoughtful feedback almost immediately, and is always available to answer questions or jump on a call if we need guidance. You never feel like you're figuring things out on your own. He truly cares about both the dogs and the people raising them, and he always follows through. Every recommendation Vladae has made, whether it's training tools, techniques, or daily routines, has become an essential part of Coach's development. We trusted the process from day one, and the results truly speak for themselves. (See the videos! Coach is only 6.5 months old in them.) Our puppy is happy, confident, well-mannered, and genuinely loves learning. We receive compliments on his behavior everywhere we go, and we owe so much of that to the foundation Vladae helped us build. We also had the opportunity to work with Erica, who trains alongside Vladae, and she was absolutely wonderful. One session with Erica is included in the program, and it was incredibly helpful. It's clear she shares the same passion, knowledge, and dedication that make this training program so special. Vladae brings unmatched energy, professionalism, and passion to every session. He genuinely wants every dog and every owner to succeed, and that level of commitment is incredibly rare to find. If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs and is committed to setting both you and your dog up for long-term success, I can't recommend Vladae highly enough. Coach has become an incredible puppy, and we're excited to continue into adult school because of the foundation he's helped us build. We're so grateful we found him!

Wow! Amazing amazing place!! My dog comes out smelling fresh with a bandana. Everyone is so sweet…read moreand they really care about your pups! I brought my dog a few times to this grooming location in 2024/2025. We stopped taking him after…read morethe last visit we had because the groomer recommended getting our dog use to people touching his hand. Nothing wrong with telling us that, because that's just what we did! We wanted him to be desensitized before he came back. The few times I brought him in, all the experiences were good! So much so I'd gush over how good he looked after grooming and how he looked well taken care of. He'd come home happy and maybe take a little nap. So, I decided to bring him in again recently. Same service as before, nothing different. The most I waited for my dog before was 3 hours (but I was given a heads up by the groomer that they were busier the day he waited for 3 hours, so not an issue at all). My dog was there for about 6 hours. I dropped him off in the late morning and he's wasn't ready until the later in the afternoon. I called to check in after a few hours, but was told her was in rotation to be finished soon... No one gave me a heads up about it maybe taking a while when I dropped him off. When my dog finally was able to come home, he was super dehydrated, immediately needed to use the restroom and was just lethargic overall (never an occurrence in any previous visit at this groomer or at any of the other previous grooming locations my dog has gone to). The stars given are only because of the positive experiences I had BEFORE the most recent one because I genuinely enjoyed bringing my dog here and this would've been a 5 star place for me. But based off my recent experience, it was not a 5 star service. I didn't recognize anyone there, (granted it had been a little while since we had last brought him in), so I'm not sure if they have new staff. However, I unfortunately don't want to put my dog through something like this most recent experience again.
