Absolutely do NOT bring your dog here. This place should be avoided at all costs. They do not take proper care of the animals, and the staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I brought up legitimate concerns about my dog's condition after boarding, instead of taking responsibility or even listening, they doubled down and accused me of lying. I'm new to the orange area when it comes to boarding my dog. I found falco boarding they were able to board her for 3 nights. I received a call that she broke a nail and they were going to bathe her and no need for a vet visit. Zack is fabulous training humans as much as dogs. Our 19 month Border Collie started off an anti-social, out of control, and very disobedient pup. He was a dog that could not be enjoyed! We started with Board & Train which brought our dog, Zephy, into enough control that we could start to train more easily as he was lunging, a lot less, at people and other dogs. Zephy was only about 7 months old. Today we finished level 4 Obedience class and also doing Nose Work. We are so proud of our pup and enjoy so many activities with him. Zephy has become a "family" dog and not just a pet. We were fortunate to find Zack back when he was with The Royal K9, and he has made all the difference!! His methods are never cruel and really focus on the bond between you and your animal. I believe that is the difference between an obedient animal and a well behaved well balanced companion. TL;DR: Awesome! I highly recommend them. I brought my 8 month old GSD (Bella) to Falco's beginner obedience course so that I can learn how to have a meaningful relationship with her as I knew she was capable of so much but I had never trained a dog before. Gina (and team) helped me not only teach Bella how to walk properly, come when called, sit in-place for extended amount of time (1 hour+), and many other valuable and neat skills, but more importantly they helped me understand how to teach and lead Bella. After graduating this course, I feel like Bella looks to me as her leader and I am equipped to lead her. I enjoyed this course immensely and look forward to continuing on through intermediate and advanced courses. There are plenty of dog training businesses around me yet I'm willing to drive minimum 40 min each way (assuming I'm able to miss traffic) to come to Falco. They are awesome!! read more

I didn't realize how much I didn't know about puppy training until my puppy Finn and I had our first puppy training class with Gabi. First I have to say that when I called to schedule classes for my dog, I was leaning towards private lessons at my house. The gal that I spoke to on the phone was awesome! She spent quality time with me listening to my concerns and answering my questions. I am so glad that I listened to the professionals advice and started with the class because my dog/puppy was nervous around other dogs and the concern was private lessons might have inhibited his exposure to other dogs. Well, let me say, Finn did well with his first class, however, I still had a ton to learn so I wanted to repeat the class and I am so happy I did. It's given Finn and I both the confidence and practice we needed for success. Finn is very attached to me and was unsure of Gabi in the beginning. With that said, Gabi was so gentle with Finn and incredibly patient. Now Finn gets jealous when she is working with Finn's classmates. Lastly, I want to say that this class (times two) has been worth my time and money. We have two French bulldogs (1 y/o and 7 m/o) that have been a little behind the curve when it comes to socialization and obedience training and we had been looking for local trainers for several months trying to determine the best course of action. We were referred to Falco Dog Training by a local business owner in Fullerton who had done private sessions with her two labs and we immediately reached out to do a private in-home assessment of our two pups to see what they would recommend. One of the challenges for us is our work schedule and making time in the evenings, but Derek and Gina came to our home on a Saturday which was perfect and beyond convenient. Derek did an initial assessment of our pups' behavior and explained a lot of things regarding the psychology of our dogs that really helped us gain a better understanding of their individual behavior and mannerisms. We then tested their socialization with Gina's dog Kona, to determine if there were any major socialization concerns before Derek made his recommendation for future training. After all was said and done, he felt that they would do great in Falco's beginner obedience group sessions and we decided to sign up. They offer weeknight sessions as well as Saturday sessions which provides flexibility if you have a tough schedule to work around. The first few weeks of class were a challenge because having other dogs around was very distracting for our pups, but as we went through our exercises, practiced what we learned each week, and stayed consistent by awarding good behavior and correcting bad behavior, we saw a substantial amount of improvement by the end of the beginner classes. From initially being very "barky", lunging at distractions while on the leash, and not listening to commands, our pups passed their beginner class with flying colors. They no longer bark unless provoked (which we are still working on), they follow their commands (sit, down, stay, come, heel) perfectly, they no longer pull at the leash when we walk them, and overall they are doing better around other dogs. As much as it was about training our pups, it was even more about training ourselves to be consistent and provide the right type of guidance so that they could learn and improve. We still need to work on socialization, but the improvements they made in the short 7-week period really impressed us and we plan to continue working with Falco through their intermediate group sessions. I would NEVER recommend this place - worst service ever. Laura is also just horrible with customer service. She needs to learn how to speak with clients. Our puppy loves Zack, Gina and Gabi! We started with private puppy basic obedience classes with Zack in our backyard. She had an intro session with him and five basic obedience sessions. Zack is very helpful and knowledgeable and Wrigley was always thrilled to see him. He was always willing to answer our questions. We also took the intermediate puppy class with Gabi which was four sessions at a park/field area. This class allowed us to be around other dogs and people while practicing social distancing. I wish everyone else in the class wore a mask, but that's not Falco's fault. Wrigley also met Gina, the owner through these classes and her time at Royal K9 and she always loved seeing her too, which I take as a good sign. We'll definitely continue Wrigley's training through Falco over the coming months. We feel that their approach is positive and it builds logically. We were experiencing numerous behavioral/obedience issues with our Siberian Husky, Coco, such as nipping, counter-surfing, jumping, and leash pulling, and our Pekingese-Eskimo mix rescue, Biscuit, such as potty training, nipping, and jumping issues. We decided to board and train both our dogs for 15 days this past summer with Falco. I have to admit that I was a little hesitant due to the cost of the board and train and skeptical of what I was paying for. But despite my hesitation and skepticism, we decided to bite the bullet go thru the board and train. I am so glad we did!!! When we picked up the dogs, they were completely different dogs (in terms of behavior). They were so well behaved!!! They sit, down, stay, heel, come, place, etc. on command. No more jumping, no more leash pulling and Biscuit can even take a walk OFF-LEASH!!! Derek and Gina did an awesome job with both dogs. I enrolled my standard poodle puppy, Kohl who was about 7 months old at the time in Falco's board and train with Derek and Gina. He boarded with Falco for 2 weeks. We asked them to work on obedience and manners. Kohl like most puppies would jump on everyone, wouldn't stay in place, his attention span was minimal, and was destructive. After two weeks with Derek and Gina, he came back as a different dog, the results were amazing! I couldn't believe how good of a job they did. They were able to achieve the results we wanted and more. Kohl now can stay in place for 25 minutes or longer without moving, he's obedient, he no longer jumps on people or counter tops even when there's food on the counter. Since Kohl is an indoor dog the training was crucial. I couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you guys! read more

I didn't rate you on a 20 minute meeting. Maybe you should have read the beginning of my review where I said it was my fault for being late. You could have easily asked me to reschedule and I would have obliged but something tells me even with an hour together nothing would have happened but the dog being looked at behind the fence because she herself said that's where our next few sessions would be behind a fence. Since I've been with Royal my extremely aggressive dog has been managed to be approached by several different trainers...they don't use fences or muzzles just the tools they had which again by the looks of the trainer never approaching my dog even BEHIND a fence tells me I wasted my $150 with you guys...but hey it could have been the $6,000 I was trying to be sold over and over so I guess there's that...why not take the rating as constructive criticism instead of trying to put it off on "it not being fair" time wise....oh and if she waited all that time why not get right to work then? I had already given the lady over the phone about half an hour's information worth on the dog, not have her come ask the same questions....again for ME this place is a no...and FYI I drive an hour each way to his new school and sometimes and late as well and when we get there we get right to work ...even if they don't give me extra time (which they always do) they never waste a minute we get in and go straight to work just like at his evaluation. I'm super bummed I wasted $325 for 6 classes. The first 2 classes there was a dog that barked loudly the entire class. I could not hear the instructor at all! The dog wanted to attack every dog it was quite scary. They should have asked them to leave right away and get in some private classes first. They did do just that but after 2 of the 6 classes were done. The next 3 classes went a bit better but there's too many dogs in this class for 1 trainer for a beginner class. I was lucky to get the trainers attention and help for 3 min a class. With the other 7-8 dogs. The last class is used to test your dog if they can pass to the next level. I can't say enough about Falco...Gina, Aldo, and Derek have been a lifeline after rescuing a very fearful 7 month black lab mix, Layla a year ago. She came to me with various challenges, that for awhile I wasn't sure I had could handle. I just completed the basic dog obedience class. As much as I thought that my dog wouldn't do well in a group class I gave it a shot after the one on one consultation and I saw massive improvement after a few weeks. My dog isn't perfect and he still has a lot of work to do however he's improved a significant amount. The staff is cool and friendly and they are very understanding. I do not have enough wonderful things to say about the team at Falco! I first made contact for a private consultation for my one year old Basset Hound. We had done a terrible job with training (we did the PetSmart course) and his naughty behaviors were getting worse (jumping, stealing food, barking at other dogs, bolting from the house, etc). Gina came out for a one hour consult and I was blown away. Falco is all about human training, and her directions were clear and specific. She left us with some specific changes to make and commands to work on. We saw a HUGE improvement in the weeks that followed. I was so impressed I signed up for the Basic Obedience class and now our almost two years old Basset is in the intermediate level class! So much for not being able to train a Basset Hound!
