Our child was forced out of the program with less than 14 days' notice, which was very upsetting. Before this, the ABA lead was switched without any prior warning or discussion. Before the new lead, Kevin, joined, there were no issues raised about our child or the program. However, once Kevin took over, communication became very restricted--we were limited to email only, and it was made mandatory for all parents to attend every meeting, which was difficult since my spouse is on sea duty . After Kevin joined, we noticed fewer families in the pick-up and drop-off lines, and the school atmosphere felt colder and less flexible. Overall, the changes made it hard for us to stay involved and left us feeling disconnected from the program.

The owner of this facility is a danger to children and harmful to families, to say the very least…read more My child has Down Syndrome and I work and attend school full-time for my Bachelor's in Education. I would never treat any other individual, child, or family the way this vile business owner treats parents and staff. The facility is open until 5 pm. One time I was running a few minutes late. I let them know 24 hours ahead of time I would be late picking him up, and that I would gladly compensate for the time, and the worker said no problem. The owner told me at the time I was late, if I was not there in 5 minutes, she would call law enforcement for an abandoned child. As a social worker, I knew nothing would come of that, as I was in constant communication with the provider. They would have laughed at her. Again, my child has Down Syndrome. It is hard getting him to eat, so he has had a feeding tube which he was administered a nutritional drink by his healthcare provider. He is not on the tube anymore but he continues he's to drink the drink. The owner actually told me that he's not getting the nutrition he needs from the nutritional drinks his doctor prescribes him. These are the same drinks that children on feeding tubes drink exclusively to get all their dietary needs met. I was sent a message by the owner of the daycare saying I needed to provide her medical documentation that he was receiving healthcare. I told her I'm going to disregard that, (because wtf), and she called CPS on me. She told them that my child's foot was infected, purple, oozing, and spreading (I took a photo of his foot which you will see below where you can see it was completely healed at the time she said that.) She also told them I was starving my child. My special needs child who she can see has an extremely hard time eating, is in a wheelchair, and can't walk or talk. The report was unsubstantiated, because they saw his healed foot. They also saw that he is getting all of the healthcare he needs and they know it's common for special needs children to be diagnosed with failure to thrive. So they closed the case. I also went on to the DCYF licensing website and noticed they have received several "serious" violations for hazardous conditions which are highly dangerous to children. They did not give Coly enough of his drinks at school and did not feed him regular meals with the other kids as they were instructed to in his Special Needs Plan submitted to DCYF and the facility. I have filed a police report about the owner's false reports to CPS (which is illegal) and I am also in touch with her licenser as well. I encourage any other parents with concerns to do the same. Her name is Christie and her email is christie.donaldson@dcyf.wa.gov I will also be speaking with an attorney, so please reach out if you feel like your child was endangered or neglected in their care. It's clear from her Yelp reviews that there have been ongoing concerns from multiple families and employees. The building is tattered and should be condemned, the employees walk on egg shells because she reprimands them so disrespectfully, even in front of parents. I kept my child here because consistency is important for special needs children, but I'm glad we found care elsewhere. We should have done so a long time ago, but I was thinking of the best interest of my child who thrives from routine and consistency. The fact that someone can attempt to assert such oppressive power and control in a state funded daycare facility in a building that is falling down around her is actually comical to me. Her misery shows through in how she treats others. This place needs to be shut down. But I rest easy knowing that the owner is clearly an absolutely unhappy human being regardless. Anyone that needs to bully families and employees to inflate their own sense of self importance is truly detestable.

My daughter was fortunate enough to attend for nearly two years and loved every minute. As a parent nervous and new to the daycare and preschool scene, I researched and toured four other centers before finding this gem, that is actually 45 minutes away from our home. However, the moment I met Ms. Ruth and toured her facility, I actually got emotional from the sheer relief of knowing I had found the absolute perfect care for my daughter. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and provides a fun, educational, positive, and loving environment. Meeting Ms.Ruth it was crystal clear her intentions; she truly loves and adores all the children and wants nothing but the best for them. That was consistently strongly felt and reflected throughout the entire time my daughter attended. Her professionalism, communication and compassion is unmatched. She handles all situations with grace, elegance, and positive reinforcement. Within the first month, I noticed a huge positive change within my daughter. Her confidence blossomed, and her passion for learning grew immensely. She is always so excited to show off the new dances, songs, and Spanish words she has learned. The adorable "I'm a world changer" song is my personal favorite to hear her reenact/sing. I'm also quite impressed with the amount of Spanish she knows fluently! My daughter will be chatting away in Spanish giving her older siblings and I little Spanish lessons- we all absolutely adore it ..and also envy it lol. Pictures and communication updates sent from them throughout the day were also a huge highlight for me and something I always cherished throughout my work day. Ms. Ruth and her staff truly strive and succeed with providing the best care, nutritious food, and curriculum for all the children. Every time I pick my daughter up, I am always amazed by how orderly, calm, and harmonious the environment is. I have the utmost respect for Ms. Ruth and the incredible standard of care she maintains for all the children and I feel so blessed to have found her for my daughter. Ms.Ruth has set the bar high for expectations going further in life for my daughter's future educators. If you're considering this facility, prepare to watch your child excel greatly in all aspects of their development thanks to a truly caring dedicated, respectful team led by Ms.Ruth. We'll miss Ms.Ruth and her staff all immensely and can't thank them all enough!! The Beisley's

As a…read moreparent seeking high-quality childcare and bilingual learning options for my children, this center has truly exceeded my expectations. It is a shining example of excellence in early childhood education, and it has become an invaluable resource for our family. One of the standout features of Multicultural Children's Center is its well-structured and nurturing environment. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The center's staff members are not only highly skilled and experienced but also genuinely caring individuals who go above and beyond to create a safe and stimulating space for children to learn and grow. One aspect that truly sets Multicultural Children's Center apart is its commitment to bilingual learning. In today's diverse world, being exposed to different languages and cultures is an invaluable asset. The center recognizes this and offers a fantastic bilingual curriculum that introduces children to Spanish and English preschool concepts at an early age. It's incredible to see how my children have embraced and thrived in this multicultural environment. Living in an area with limited high-quality full-time childcare options for preschoolers, finding Multicultural Children's Center was a true blessing. Finally, we feel we have found a childcare program that not only provides essential care but also offers enriching activities and educational opportunities. It brings immense peace of mind knowing that our children are in capable hands and are receiving the nurturing and education they deserve and have been desperately yearning for. The dedication of the center's staff extends beyond the basics of childcare. They have created an atmosphere where children can explore their interests, develop their skills, and build strong foundations for future learning. From art projects to science experiments, the activities at Multicultural Children's Center are thoughtfully designed to engage and inspire young minds. They even do adorable little weekend activities on occasion. Furthermore, the center's emphasis on inclusivity and celebrating diversity is so important to us. It creates an environment where children from various backgrounds can learn from and about one another, fostering a sense of acceptance, respect, and empathy. Our children have grown not only academically but also socially and emotionally through their experiences at the center. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Multicultural Children's Center highly enough. Its dedication to providing a nurturing, structured, and bilingual learning environment for preschoolers is unparalleled. We are grateful to have finally found a childcare program that offers exceptional quality in an area that was previously lacking such options. Multicultural Children's Center has become an essential part of our children's development, and we are incredibly thankful for the positive impact it has had on our family.

I have four children who have attended their center, and one who is still currently there. Staff is consistent and they don't seem to have a turnover at all. Which has made transitions from classroom to classroom comfortable and easy for both my little ones and I. Amy keeps a clean center and genuinely cares about not only the kids but the families as well. She follows state guidelines and procedures to make sure that the best care is being given at all times. Her staff is full of joy and you can see she carefully picked them with care so that every child is getting their needs met and nurtured at her center. They communicate with families consistently so that any concerns, milestones, and exciting things are known to the families in the program. They have field trips during the summer for the older classes to help keep the summer exciting and engaging when us parents are still needing to work and might not be able to do all of these things outside of the weekend. My children go in excited to see not only their friends but the staff that cares for them. My older children that go during the summer for care miss them over the school year and are eager to go back and see Ms. Amy and her staff. I could go on and on about how much this center has blessed us and how it has surpassed any experience I have had with childcare in my ten years of parenting, but I know it will be seen and felt by anyone who enters the doors. If you are trying to decide on a center where you will have a piece of mind that your children are safe, loved, nurtured, and being prepared for kindergarten this is the place for you.
