It was a great time there with so much connection to nature and my inner creativity that I am sad that it was over so soon.

We were offered an array of amazing cocktails that were not only delicious but served adorned beautifully. Our friends had pre-chosen our entrees for the evening. We were served a starter of a croquet of bread adorned with a very delicious chopped fish mixed with seasoning, capers and olive oil. It was visually appealing and delicious. The second course was a beautiful fresh mixed salad of greens with green goddess dressing adorned with pine nuts, It was delicious! Our main dish was not only visually pleasing but the portions and meal were excellent. The lamb was perfectly seasoned, cooked and served over polenta and an amazing snap peas purée and gently sautéed pea tendrils. We had a lovely Malbec to accompany the main course. Finally the dessert was served it was delicious, it was a formed dense mousse like chocolate served atop were puréed raspberry and topped with sliced strawberries. I am not usually a fan of chocolate, but I must say I loved this! This venue is top notch!! Amazing atmosphere, thank you! I regret not taking a picture of our amazing lamb dinner but didn't want to be rude with my phone.

I've stayed with them multiple times and each time it has been just amazing. They're located in the city of Poulsbo, WA on a working 17 acre farm. It's a private farm that you can pet everything from Pigmy Goats to sheep....to their two wonderful dogs (Hank and Abby). It's very close to downtown historic Poulsbo and easy to find (look for the big sign at the entrance to their property), with a lengthy dirt driveway to their house. Once you arrive, you're usually met by one or both of your hosts...welcoming you to their nice quiet property. Attached are photos from this visit...make sure to give them a try!

The value cannot be beat for the quality of service you get. First, the whole venue is yours for the weekend. No other guests are booked at the B&B on a wedding weekend (and you get access for the WHOLE weekend). Second, Paulette and Ron are so accommodating and helpful, even before your wedding weekend. Any time we needed to come up and check things out, they welcomed us to visit. The space is beautiful. We had an outdoor wedding, with a gorgeous western view of the Olympic mountains and a reception in the spacious barn. We had no problems fitting our whole wedding (150 guests) while leaving room for a bar and dance floor. The rooms in the B&B are beautiful and spacious. And the breakfast food was amazing. We would absolutely recommend Raspberry Ridge Farm to anyone looking to get married in Kitsap County.

Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I received very mediocre, perhaps even poor, service. My boyfriend and I are in our mid 20s, and we didn't order drinks. We could tell immediately that our waiter profiled us as low tipping customers. He was very short with us and didn't offer any explanation of the menu, which we could hear him doing with other tables. We also noticed he engaged other customers in cheerful conversation, which was lacking from our experience. We decided not to order dessert, and our waiter grabbed the menus off our table and walked away without saying anything. It was incredibly rude, especially after he neglected to check on us throughout our meal. We also noticed that we were the last table to be helped when it was time for the bill. He helped all the surrounding tables before us despite the fact that we were the first to finish our meal. As far as the food goes, we ordered the olive and almonds appetizer and it was quite good. The marcona almonds were tossed in oil and lightly salted and they were wonderful. The olives tasted like glorified olives from a can. I personally like canned olives so I was fine with it, but they didn't strike me as anything special. For dinner, I ordered the roasted cauliflower and quinoa. The cauliflower came out quite burnt. I had planned to ask that the plate be remade, but as I mentioned our waiter failed to check on us once the food arrived. My boyfriend got the butternut squash pizza and it was alright, but felt that it was lacking a salty aspect. Other than our waiter, the employees were nice. The gentleman who sat us and the woman who refilled our sodas were very polite. For a nice restaurant, the prices were reasonable. I was disappointed by profiling and lack of respect on behalf of our waiter. The cauliflower, on the other hand, was extremely over-salted.

But the last couple times I have been, I have felt the quality of food slipping. The first time I went, the food blew me away. I have ordered the same dish both times since then and there seem to be a few shortcuts that the kitchen took to get food out faster or easier. It makes a big difference. They also haven't changed their menu in a really long time.

I usually associate Kiana Lodge with weddings. My first visit on a rainy Sunday afternoon was for a celebration of life memorial (4/6/25). This can be accessed by car via ferry sailings from Edmonds/Kingston or Seattle/Bainbridge Island or driving around the sound from Seattle/Tacoma. I also received an e-newsletter where Kenmore Air can provide transport via seaplane for special events onsite. The Garden Atrium was arranged with a reception area and coat service. A table was set up with various curated memorabilia, A/V services to provide slide show and speaker capability. There was also an open bar, coffee/tea service including water and lemonade, and catering services were also provided. Delicious cuisine. Beautiful, serene views and seating also allowed for mingling and sharing anecdotes. A genuine celebration of a very accomplished individual who left lasting legacy, demonstrated a strong love of family, and a truly a life well lived. Beautiful destination for private events.

This venue is exceptional for so many reasons: not only is it a non-profit venue, but they light over 100 candles for your event and provide so many things that you would typically need to rent at other venues (chairs, tables, glassware, etc.). Also there are so many things for your guests to do in downtown Ballard if your wedding is mainly out-of-town guests like ours was. There is a ground level and an upstairs. Upon coming in staff greeted us and informed us of the going-Ons upstairs. There were 3 bartenders all of whom were very nice. Lots of seating and small music and dancing area. The food was self-serve, buffet style, catered La Cabana. The salsa and guac were good and was nicely laid out. Cathedral donates much of the earnings made from the use of the space and are also known for their candles which I've received as a gift and can say are nicely scented and benefit causes. So, if you see one in a local shop or otherwise it makes a good gift. Not sure they sell them at this actual location of Cathedral though. If you 're looking to host an event or know someone who wants to, Cathedral has a decent space to be rented out with nice staff who will help manage it.
