Stopped by to see my cousin in the Lake and pulled in to grab A FEW SUBS for lunch. Wish we had a place like that here Cumberland R.I Best looking Meats I seen in the long time. The presentation was unreal and spotless. The Subs were great couldn't finish them so dam big. We stopped on the way back home and grabbed a few things. Best Lamb Chops I ever seen and the Rib Eyes were big and perfect. They have some Great Meat Cutters there for dam sure. They were really friendly and did anything for you if you asked. If you find yourself in or near Colchester, Connecticut please do yourself a favor and stop at Noel's for the BEST MUFFINS you have ever had in your life! And this is no exaggeration, lol! My sister works nearby and told me that one of her coworkers brought her some muffins to work. She called me after trying one of them and was going on and on about how great they are... I thought to myself, OK how great can a muffin be? But babee, let me tell you! A couple of days ago she surprised me with some of my own - pistachio, blueberry, chocolate chip crumb and cinnamon crumb. Pistachio, blueberry and chocolate chip crumb were delectable! Fresh, moist, buttery, just honestly the best muffins I've ever had! The cinnamon crumb was okay, not bad at all, but probably won't be in my lineup the next time I get muffins. Noel's Market is conveniently located in the center of Colchester. Many don't know, but sandwiches will be made for you in the deli. They are a flat fee of $5.00, regardless of how many toppings or meats you have. They are absolutely delicious. They stuff them with more meats than anywhere else. The employees are great too. The thing I go to Noel's for first and foremost is their prepared meals. They are all consistently good, and there's a great selection. Whether you want a salad, hot dinner, a sandwich wrap, soup, or even dessert, there's always something ready to go. You can also order grinders from the deli that can easily be two meals. They've pretty much put me off Subway for life! Noel's also has an excellent meat counter. There's premade things like stuffed chicken breasts and pork chops you can put straight in the oven,along with a nice selection of meat to choose from. I personally think it's better quality than what the average supermarket sells. There are good deals to be had if you check regularly. I've also noticed they are pretty quick to get "novelty" beverages in. If there's a new flavor of Pepsi, Starbucks, or Coke out, you have a pretty good chance of spotting it here first. This was actually the first place I spotted the new flavors of Diet Coke in the area. They do a pretty good job of keeping the staples in stock along with some more exotic offerings like locally made bread, Farmer's Cow milk, Hot Scream ice cream, limited edition Oreos, and so forth. Where Noel's isn't so great is in their produce section. Sometimes things run out. There were a couple times I went looking for specific things like tofu, zucchini and parsnips and found they'd run out. Other times, they may have something that's a bit past it's prime, and not necessarily marked down. Avocados and tomatoes come to mind. If you're making something and you need a specific fruit or vegetable it can be hit or miss. The employees are pretty nice, although I feel sometimes they can get overly talky with their coworkers or certain customers. This is not exclusive to the younger ones, but you can still generally get checked out faster than if you'd gone to say, Stop & Shop. They don't seem to get hit with the same chaos that occurs when a big snowstorm is about to come through, so if you don't need much, it's worth going there first. Overall what Noel's does right is plenty reason enough to visit on a regular basis. I'm of the belief you need to hit a couple different supermarkets regularly to get the best values, this place is definitely staying in my rotation. read more

I came for the convenience. I stayed for the Dum-Dums. Really, at first it just was because my lazy ass didn't want to walk the extra block to Stop & Shop, but things have changed. Noel's is so happily small town in it's ambience and customer service that I well, gee whiz, feel swell. They carry alot of local produce, such as gorgeous blueberries and some hot-mama tomatoes that are beyond perfect and set me back $1.09 a pound. The meat section looks good,always has good deals and currently have some perhaps housemade sausages that shall be making time with some polenta come fall have I anything to do with it. The grocery prices are comparable to Stop and Shop and sometimes cheaper. The house-packaged spices are a good deal, too. Oh and there are Dum-Dums at the end of the register. Maybe they're for kids but I'm known to go for one. Nobody complained, they were too nice anyway. read more

The meat selection at Noel's excellent, we only get our NY strip steak from here. The selection is limited, don't look for baby formula here. But otherwise a good place for a quick stop. read more

I had apple pie from your market brought in by a colleague and its really bad with the crust uncooked and apple filling not even seasoned. You need to check on your cook to make sure that all your food are being taken cared of, you wouldn't want to lose your costumers. read more
