Cafe Dyrehaven is located in the Vesterbro neighborhood (famous for being an old red light district turned into an area with funky bars in the meat packing district) and its got a great atmosphere, friendly vibes, and outdoor blankets. Amongst our group, we ordered one Moussaka, two Tagliatelle with Lightly Salted Saithe, and one Oriental Marinated Leg of Lamb, and a few beers. The Moussaka was unexpectedly delicious--it was basically a potato and eggplant lasagna. The Tagliatelle with Lightly Salted Saithe was so flavorful--the saithe (Pollock fish) savory, the tagliatelle firm but not undercooked, and the pine nuts earthy and balanced out the flavors. The Oriental Marinated Leg of Lamb was tasty, but not memorable. We enjoyed the Moussaka so much, we wanted another order, but unfortunately the kitchen closed at 9p and our tummies were denied seconds of the warm, cheesy goodness. The food is excellent, the portions generous, and the price great--Cafe Dyrehaven's perfect place for a casual meal and/or to get the night started. The two bartenders were swamped and when we ordered a cocktail instead of beer, one of the servers went above and beyond and made some of the best drinks we've had, even though they were so busy.
