Great location right on the Stroget and close to several metro stations. Great place to meet a friend or people watch. Had delicious brunch salad and cafe latte. Friendly service.

This place is located in Strøget, which is a center shopping area and also a touristy area of the city. The prices are pretty expensive but this is Copenhagen, after all. I get it. The place has the option of sitting inside or outside, we opted for outside to people watch. Denmark, specifically Copenhagen is known for their open faced sandwiches (smørrebrød), so of course we have to get some here. This is Europe, so expect a long wait time and expect the waiter to let you sit as long as you like before getting the check. You won't get it unless you flag the waiter down, so that's what we did. The food was good, but nothing that impressive to me, personally. I got the chicken salad open-faced sandwich with bacon and my husband got the fish sandwich. It was a nice little stop, but nothing too impressive.

I guess this place is a bit touristy due to its location but the food was great. Brunch is more like tapas style. Small dishes. All super cute and pretty. The chef makes every dish very presentable and appealing to the eyes. I eat with my eyes, so pretty worka for me. Their "pancakes" which are more like crepes are delicious. It comes with ice cream and housemade jam. The brunch dish is an assorted of egg, ham, fruit. Everything you want in a brunch. So good. Service was a bit bumpy when our server forgot to put in my order and I had to wait extra.

The BFF and I stopped here for an afternoon tea and to also get in a good people watching session. There were plenty of outdoor patio spots so we grabbed a table. We both just had a couple of black teas, but it took some time for them to come take our order and then more time in the back end to get our check. No effort to check on us midstream. The tea was fine, kind of hard to mess that up, but second time here, and service is as slow as I remembered it to be the first time. Not rude, just slow.

I ordered a big apple juice and she ordered a big orange juice. It's said to be freshly pressed but I didn't look like it, 55kr each.

Cafe Europa 1989 is located at the center of Strøget. You can sit inside and outside. My friends and I prefer to sit outside in the summer because it gets really warm inside. The waiters are polite but the service takes long time. Every time I have been there, we have waited a long time for the check or for a drink. But the food is very tasty! The brunch for example is very delicious and good looking. But once I was there with my friend and I ordered a cappuchino, but it was cold when I got it and it was very small, compared to the price. So 3 stars from me. But the food has always tasted good here :)

First time there, ordered brunch, very delicious! LOVE the sausage in there, oh my goodness that was good! Lots of people prefer sitting outside when the weather is good so there're lots of space inside around 11 am. I had to wait quite a while to have someone get me an English menu and order, but food brought in quite fast. And the good taste it turned out, I'd say it's totally worth the waiting! Definitely will go back again!

Good coffee house. Plenty of choices and reasonable price. Across from the parliament. In the center of downtown with great location and street entertainment.

The place was nice and cozy. We came in a cold day and although it was very busy inside we managed to find a place. We had hot cocoa and coffee which were exactly what we needed at that moment. Overall: great location, good service, nice atmosphere.

Good place to have a lunch when being in Copenhagen City center. Typical french cuisine - usually good food :). As the cafe is well used by everybody in Copenhagen it can sometimes be difficult to find a table and get serviced.

Stopped here on a whim. The atmosphere is quaint. I had the vegetarian brunch and it was delicious! Overall, a very good experience.

They made us wait for 10 minutes and served us a warm cafe latte:-(.

A very good, albeit busy cafe. Excellent coffees and good cakes - strawberry tart was the best at the table and suits the espresso well!

Probably because it's hard to find if you don't know it's Danish name (HAHA!). I knew it as The Little Yellow Coffee Bar, however we know that's not really it's name on a map or google. It is tucked away, right off Strøget, one of the busiest walking streets in the city. When you walk in, you can order downstairs and sit there, or travel upstairs to sit at a table or on one of the comfy couches. I elected to have my oat milk latte and chocolate croissant upstairs on a couch. I admired the decor and sipped my latte while doing some work. Around dinner, it got a bit busier since they serve actual food here, besides pastries and coffee. At that point, it was a bit louder and less suited for work. So you could come here for either a meal with friends or to enjoy the calm vibes of a coffee shop, depending on the time!

The cappuccino was smooth and rich with just the right amount of foam, while the sandwich was hearty and delicious -- simple but satisfying, with that nutty Danish dark bread that makes all the difference. What stood out most was the atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly and it feels more like visiting a local friend's kitchen than a café. Prices are fair for the city, and you can take your time without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a spot that feels authentic and relaxed rather than polished or touristy, this is it. The mushroom frittata (I think it was) was absolutely delish- no rubbery egg taste, lovely mushies. I was worried about the carrot salad because it looked like it was tossed in something creamy, but it was quite good. This also included a really rich and thick tomato soup, and a small toast w/ goat cheese and a rhubarb jam, and some sweet treat- I'm guessing made with mascarpone. Hubbies sandwiches were good, though I've never seen mushrooms in a chicken salad before (luckily they were big enough for him to pick out so I got those too). Only reason to dong them a Star was due to the chaotic way and wait to order. There was one queue downstairs and two people intermittently taken orders. But, the people taking the orders also were making fancy coffee drinks and doing other stuff, so it was very staccato. When we were next in line, both people ringing people up went missing for quite a few minutes and then a newcomer went straight over to the 2nd register to ask a question, as if the people in the longer queue weren't waiting, and because the guys behind the counter were so all over the place they couldn't keep track of that. Then it turns out if you want to sit upstairs, you have to order up there, so off we went to wait in another queue. After you order, you take a number to your table and we thought they forgot about us, and asked a bus boy to check in for us and he returned with our food. Oy! Also: They do have English menus on request, but not typically on the table. Excellent food and ambience!
