I was told that they only had burgers and that I wouldn't be able to find something here (since I don't eat beef/ pork)... I DID! They had a chicken or a fish sandwich. I had the chicken sandwich. Prices are reasonable and I was told they now make their buns from scratch!! They tasted fresh! Was it my favorite grilled chicken sandwich ever? No, but I was so happy they had one! I love love love the pickles on the counters and tables for you to add to your burgers. I am a pickle lover and yes, I added pickles to my chicken sandwich! Also, Get onion rings!!! I am still fantasizing about them! So crispy and seasoned to perfection. Drooling right now. Overall, they are a well oiled machine. We were in there after a funeral and only 2 people working. We were able to get served and one cooked everything. My family is large and we packed the place. They did amazing! Thanks again for the chicken sandwich, the pickles and the amazing onion rings!!! Oh yes... and 1919 rootbeer on tap! Win! You can also get a Heggie's, but with their burgers... get one or two of those instead!

I specifically made a visit after reading some reviews on their burger. This simple bar burger comes on a nice soft bun and topped with melty cheese. The bar top and tables throughout all have bins of pickles to add, which is think is awesome. The burger was decent but for the ridiculously cheap price it was excellent. The crinkle fries were perfectly fried. This burger would be a show stopper if they didn't use a frozen patty. It is a small town, local bar and they are keeping cost down and I appreciate that. I don't know if it makes sense to charge a buck or two more and use fresh ground??? I really enjoyed the space and the feel of the bar. The staff were friendly considering I was an out of towner.

This review is an honest, constructive critique to help a restaurant improve, and I hope Lindsey's BBQ hears it well, because according to reviews here and on other platforms, food changes are desperately needed. The service and servers were truly friendly and relatively attentive. Food was delivered much faster than expected. The atmosphere and setting are comfortable and mostly align with the expected style of a BBQ joint, though they've gone a bit crazy with the pull tabs. It's a solid place for family or a Saturday night with friends. This is where we hit a wall. The food was unfortunate, to say the least. The main issue is that their meats aren't smoked. Not in the slightest. Oven-baked brisket and "burnt" ends. Their original sauce is quite good once cooked and slightly caramelized, however, it's also served cold, which is a grave mistake. You can tell they assume the liquid smoke in the sauce alone will make up for the fact that they're not smoking or even charring their meats. It doesn't. NEVER serve this sauce as a side. We started with the nachos and brisket. Upon tasting, we were confused because the supposed brisket had the taste and texture of a shoulder roast cooked in water. We next had a half-pound of brisket and a pound of burnt ends--same issue. At least we were sure it was brisket by the cut, but it was by far the worst we've ever had. Gamey (fecal), fatty, and completely bland. This is the most substandard, cheap beef I've ever experienced. Had they at least seasoned it properly, that would have been something. The burnt ends weren't exactly burnt. They were more seared in a high degree oven, drying them out slightly without giving them any sense of char. Again, zero smoke. High fat, zero bone or gristle, significantly meaty. Had they been true burnt ends, they would have been quite good. The sauce was great, but the improper cooking method destroyed any desire to finish our plates. The coleslaw was 6 out of 10. It was fairly flat and needed more tang, potentially a little more vinegar, sugar, celery seed, and lemon. The macaroni and cheese was the only hit. Despite other reviews, ours came out creamy and pleasant. Cornbread was okay, also 6 out of 10. Nachos come in at about the same rating. The demise of most restaurants is generally the same. Food quality gets cut, cleanliness is overlooked, and service becomes complacent. They hit the first death knell long ago, and I imagine they suffer for it because you can see where they've overcompensated in other areas to increase profitability. Menu prices for anything on the platters are scrimping on sides and outlandishly high when compared to the likes of Old Southern BBQ, Wing King, Famous Dave's, Dickey's, or John Hardy's. Lindsey's, if you take away anything out of what I'm saying, for the love of barbecue, PLEASE SMOKE YOUR MEAT. There is nothing barbecue about your restaurant. Make some changes and invite me back. I'd be glad to rewrite my review.

We walked in and it, had some people there, but I wouldn't call it busy, probably for the live bad, and what appeared to be several locals. We found a table a table super easy, and the bar tender made his way over super quick, which was nice. He brought menus over, facing them dinner side up, and said, "I'm facing these up because everything you see under the dinner side, we unfortunately don't have." So we started off with a couple beers and an order of the garlic cheese curds. The drinks and the cheese curds showed up quickly, but that was the absolute last time we were served. We waited so long that we piled up all of our glasses, food, napkins and all 4 of us just stared at the bartenders, who seemed more occupied with their friends and woman to come back to the table, when I called over to Burkys Bar and Grill to make sure their kitchen was still open. We got up and my brother went to pay for our table at the bar, the bartender said goodbye to us as we left. My brother continued to wait to pay at the bar, said he attempted to wave down the bartender several times before he was helped. On the bright side we were able to watch him from the car inside at the bar top, visibly getting more and more angry. We went to Burkys, and the food was good, we were helped super fast, and they even kept the fish fry open a little later. Several of the people in Burkys, seemed to similar experiences. Far as the food goods, the cheese curds were alright, and my Guinness was terrible. 10/10 won't be back.
