Normally when I treat myself to a full set, my hands are washed, massaged and moisturized. My cuticles are oiled and trimmed. None of that happened here. My manicure was the most I've ever paid outside of a high end salon and the job was mediocre at best. The structure of the nails were wrong. If you look at photo of the pinky- notice how it dips down in the middle. It was like that to a degree on every nail on my right hand. They were extremely crooked and the painted tips very uneven. I returned the next day for repair and they were very gracious. Unfortunately, the repair was also subpar. They did not replace the gel but ground it down so now they are extremely flat and extremely thin. That means they will not last the 3-4 weeks they're supposed to. When I asked the guy if he was going to rebuild it, he laughed at me and started talking to the lady beside him. She said- "that dip is normal because you have tips on." And I said, "Really? Because it's not like that on the other hand." So, a little rude and just okay. I'm not offended but I'm also not going back. read more

The lady doing my mani-pedi was more interested in getting a wedding party to get married and bring her more business, than in doing my nails. She was massaging my feet at the time, and about rubbed one spot raw because she wasn't paying attention. She was turned around "selling" the other girls. She failed to remove all the old polish off my toenails, and since the new was lighter, it looked like I'd been digging in the dirt after she was done. We made her redo it since it was so obvious to my family who were with me, but she was demonstratively pissed and blamed me for not buying a more expensive package. As for the manicure, she was very, very rough. I asked her numerous times not to twist my fingers so hard because of my arthritis, yet she kept doing it. Very painful! I went to get may nails done and have a little pampering after a stressful week, but what I got was more stress. read more

I had my previous dip nails removed and a new set of dip applied. My nail tech was able to shape my nails the exact way I wanted! (Yes those are my real nails.) This is the cleanest nail salon I've been to. Ryan did my nails and he did a really good job. He was very considerate and asked if I was doing okay often and if anything was bothering me. I did find it expensive but I also don't get my nails done a lot to know if they compare well. My pedicure was OJ on the rock ($37), I asked for French tips and something about the nail polish I got was more expensive ($25) bit of a language barrier so I don't know what exactly. Dipping powder French tips for my nails was ($40). It was for my wedding so I didn't mind paying extra money to make them look great but I certainly wouldn't pay that much if I got my nails done often. read more

Not the experience I was looking for or expecting. We waited for at least 30 minutes before someone started my pedicure. My daughter had to wait even longer for a manicure. Granted, they seemed busy, but we were there for almost 2 hours. My nail tech stabbed my toe with a sharp instrument, underneath my toenail!!! She didn't even remove all my old nail polish. I had on blue before and asked for red. I got red with blue underneath. I also got a bacterial infection on two toes! Two!!! My large toe that she stabbed, and another smaller toe. I had to suffer throughout my vacation because of this. I left the day after my pedi. Swollen, red, and with pus!!! It's been a week and my toes are still infected. I paid $47 for a pedicure package that was pointless. I only wanted the dry skin taken off, but it was still there at the end of the day. Also, my legs were oily!! Oil got on my car seats, couch, and all over my hands. I'm very disappointed in this whole experience and kind of pissed off. I've never had an infection before from a pedi. Please, get your act together before you do this to someone else. read more

I'm surprised at a few of these reviews here. I have been coming here for quite a while and never experienced anything negative. Nail bar has become my favorite spot for mani pedis as well as my nails. I usually get the dip powder and a gel overlay and let me tell you... they have a HUGE variety for colors. The quality is GREAT. I have had almost no issues with breaking, color fading, or the dip straight up falling off. I have even had sets hang on through weeks 3 and 4 when I just can't get over to the salon for a fill, and they don't break or fall apart. Michael is my go to technician because he puts so much time and care into the shaping and the detail that go into a great set of nails. I'm not girly by any stretch so this nail bar has become a staple twice a month to keep me looking my best for my job. I would definitely recommend!! read more

A salon's atmosphere is important to me, and this is the nicest I've been to without going to Knoxville. Calm and serene, neutral colors and not all cluttered up and distracting. I paid $48 for a full set with gel. No design. Nothing special. Coffin shape. That is the most I've ever paid. $8extra for long nails? This was NOT communicated to me prior. And she nipped me several times. Also... I don't like being asked to pay and tip before the service is complete. These are THE SHORTEST nails I've ever had. Went in Wednesday. They're rude. They're pushy. I stated several times that I don't like dip powder, it looks bulky and thick. The lady doing my pedicure kept pushing it. Then I sit down for my nails. She (a different lady) is rushing. She's snatching my hands. Throwing them. She finishes... and i show her that one is lumpy... she haphazardly attempts to fix it. The lights are dim, so it's not until i get into the light outside that I notice that theyre ALL lumpy. Some are shaped so badly that they don't even look remotely like a coffin shape. After being at work all day Thursday, obsessing over the awful job, I call and explain that I need them fixed. He says okay. Fast forward to Friday...... I come in and she's noticeably aggravated. I'm showing her. She half files one to shape. I show her another... She asks me... what happened... i said what do you mean, it's your work. Then she flops in a seat and takes an electric drill to them. At one point, she calls me picky and says she's been doing nails for over 5 years or something. IDC, i know a bad rush job. This place was absolutely horrible, and the employees are rude. I came with two other friends and 3 of my friend's nails were bleeding by the end of the full set manicure. When asked to speak to the manager, they blamed it on cold weather. I myself was not able to get my nails done because I was told that it would be a five minute wait until I would be able to get service, and it ended up being about 30 minutes. Then when asked "why" when they finally acknowledged me to ask if I was ready to get my nails done, I declined. I went and had my dip nails taken off and it was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. This was my first time going to Noire. I have had dip nails numerous times and the process to take them off has always required soaking them to take them off. Today, however, the woman who did my nails just took an acrylic nail and shoved it under each one of my nails to remove the dip nails. This hurt so bad and broke many of my natural nails. I went to the one at Choto market on north shore road. Basic gossip, but felt like they were acting rude and the atmosphere is your typical Farragut snooty. I expected high standards of professionalism. I wouldn't recommend them. I ask them to paint another top layer of top coat and I got a look like " how dare you". I came here for like the past 1 1/2 and never again . Got my pedicure and manicure done . Pedicure went great . But my gel manicure not so . I chose the nail polish color and she began doing my nails . First layer I seen that the gel is becoming one blob . Second layer there was little pieces of stuff in there and when I said what is that she said she will fix it and added a third layer . The problem didn't fix so she just wiped it off with a towel and added 4th layer . It because even worse . So she said it the nail polish that's doing that . They a guy asked me to go over to his desk so he could fix . He added 5 th and 6th layers . I asked if the nail polish won't chip or break (Because of so many layers he said no ) for the inconvenience he took off 5$ but Iam disappointed because they did crack . I was visiting this area and wanted to find a nail place to do SNS. I found this place via Yelp and upon reading the reviews, I wanted to try them. Unfortunately, I was never helped. They were pretty busy so I tried to remain patient until I was helped but was never greeted. There was a group of ladies with their daughters that hadn't been helped either. I stayed for about 5 minutes but left after one of the nail techs brought a woman up to the front that had just gotten a service done, processed her payment for her and then hurried back to start/finish a pedicure on someone else. She never even acknowledged that there were customers waiting to even be helped. Understanding you are busy, it would help if this establishment had a permanent front desk person to pass along wait times, take payments from customers, etc. read more

This is the only salon that does the shape how I like it and the nail always looks great... BUT every single time I make an appointment I won't get seen for at least 30 minutes. This has happened 3 times and also once with my sister. They completely disregard appointments and gladly accept walk ins before. Priorities are completely off. Awful my nails look good but my experience was just awful and i will never be back when i walked in usually i would look for what nail color i wanted but they didn't give me that option. I wanted a matte and they wanted to charge me $5 for it. It would have been okay if any other place charges for the matte but, besides that, the lady would yank my arm every-time she needed me to come closer. Then the lady doing my nails i told her i needed them short because of my job well she wouldn't cut them short at first but i told her i need them short or ill just go somewhere else and she finally cut them a little shorter. When i cashed out the lady that did my nails looked at me with a stupid face when i wouldn't tip her but there was no way i was going to tip her for the experience i had. i would NOT recommend this place to anyone that ever asked me. i dont even wanna give them a one star i will never be back i only went because they had a lot of good reviews and it seemed like a nice place to go to but it just was not good at all.
