Really nice place to come in always busy but as long as you have your appointment, they'll see you immediately. So reservations are definitely important. everybody does an amazing job so no need to be picky on who is going to be doing your nails. If you have an idea on how you would like to get the nails done all you have to do is show them pictures and they will do something similar, but always unique not just like the picture which turns out to be actually even better. Cute place. Had some time to kill before work so I came in for a basic mani. They do take walki-ins too which is nice. Well priced, I thought. But it was not well done at all!! If I could give zero stars I would. My sister in law made an appointment for 6 of us to get our nails done for my wedding well over a month in advanced and paid the deposit. We arrive and they start doing my mom and her before myself and everyone else arrives. None of us got to go together and there were only 3 techs. The owner forgot about our party. Gave an unapologetic sorry. One of the girls had to leave and couldn't get her nails done because it took so long. Our appointment was at 10:30am and my mother in law wasn't done until 1:30pm!!!!!! Absolutely unacceptable. Not only did it take forever, our nails all looked HORRIBLE. Bridal nails are such a huge deal and I was so upset with the outcome. The shape was completely different from what I asked for and design looked nothing like the photo. Everyone in our group was charged a different price for the same services. Avoid this place at all costs. Charging $130 for a cold water pedicure and horrible nails should be illegal. Sincerely, a very very disappointed bride. read more

This was my first time at Nola and I am already looking at my calendar so I can schedule my next appointment. I'm a boring basic pedi person with regular polish (a very good selection by the way) and I couldn't be more pleased. Elina was wonderful, and since I didn't realize till a few minutes into the pedi that I had left my phone in my car, I very much enjoyed our conversation and especially appreciated that her massage technique was not the wimpy kind you get at some other salons. The salon is lovely and extremely clean. My only suggestion would be that it would be nice to have a printed "menu" of services at each pedi chair, but then again I didn't ask for one so maybe they do. I will definitely be back. Never go here again. First the guy never turned a the little light to see properly. He had never washed my hands after the filing etc. just put polish right over. My nail polish is lumpy and so uneven! i didn't even know it was possible to make them lumpy! after reading the previous review after I left, not even nothing with asking the owner to fix or for a refund. **UPDATE** After my friend went to give them another shot and her nails immediately chipped she went back to have them redone and they now told her it was her nails and not the product. So at first the owner said it was the color or brand... then my friend finds out they only carry one brand of dip and then the owner blames it on her nails.... My nails also chipped and since we have both went to a new place and I'm three weeks into my dip and they looks great. I visited this place (with an appointment) at the end of July to get a basic dip manicure. I was left soaking in the acetone for a VERY long time. When my nail tech came she began my manicure and while she was applying the color powder the owner came up and let her know she did a step wrong (something I wouldn't have noticed myself) and instead of correcting it she said she would do it the right way next time....meaning she was leaving my manicure done wrong... The manicure was fine. She didn't add any oils to my cuticles at the end which was disappointing. I went with a friend who got the same manicure. When I got home I was looking at them and noticed that she completely forgot to put the top coat on one finger so I had to drive all the way back. They were apologetic and I understand that things like that sometimes happens. After 1 week my dip manicure was chipping on the majority of nails. My friends started chipping shortly after mine and she went back to have them fix it, which they did. The owner said it was either the color or brand. My friend went again for a new manicure a few days ago to give them another shot and said she would try another brand. She said they only have one brand of dip and her nails started chipping THREE DAYS after her manicure. Not quality product and it'll be a waste of money to get a dip here. Unfortunate and now I'm still looking for a good nail place. The only reason I came to this place was because I had a gift certificate from somebody. I looked at their review and was very hesitant. The owner of the shop is so rude to her staff, and seems a little incompetent. This place is grossly overpriced! They list one price for a service and then sneak in many up charges leading to the most expensive mani/pedi I have ever seen and the quality is nothing special!! I had been going to Nola for maybe a year or more to get both Mani and Pedi and at first I was very happy with everything overall. However, after some time I noticed a shift in service. One of the girls doing my nails had my arm pulled all the way over the desk so that my hand was over her lap while doing my nail and she seemed to not want to listen to me when I told her I was wanting just a fill. Instead I got a full set which isn't what I went in for. However the nails were done well despite finding globs of acrylic paint under my nails, but they stayed on and looked good so I just thought that maybe she had a bad day. The next time I went in however would be the last time. The tech doing my nails seemed very annoyed with my request to not cut my nails off, I just wanted an acrylic paint with no plastic tips. I've been doing my nails for a long time and I just wanted my natural nail instead of plastic, which is what I usually have. She was speaking very agitated in a different language to the girl next to her right after my mother, who was sitting next to me asked her nail tech for the same thing. No tips, just paint please. After that it seemed to go okay but after I left I noticed that the acrylic paint on my nails was super thick. I've never had nails so thick before. Like she just did it to spite my request of no tips? My mother ended up going to a different salon to get her nails fixed and the owner of said salon told her that the acrylic Nola uses is cheap. We've also noticed that they dremeled our nails down more than what seemed to be nessecary. It was sometimes painful but I never said anything because I assumed that was a normal thing (I just recently started getting acrylic nails, I usually just do gel paint). However if you go to get your pedi done there they are very nice. The boys who did my feet there were always kind, funny and easy to chat with. I came in and had a gel manicure (which also started chipping after 2 days?) and regular pedicure. I've never had to get a gel pedicure. Because my past pedicures have always lasted a month before any chipping or wear. This pedicure polish lasted exactly one WEEK before polish started coming completely off most of my toes. NEVER had this happen before. The owner acted like she was doing me a favor by redoing the polish that they got wrong. The CUSTOMER is always right first of all. And second I've been receiving pedicures for years and this had never happened. Nothing changed in my life style during that time that would have caused the polish to come off faster than other polishes before on previous pedicures. I was looking for a new salon in the area and tried NOLA. Very impressed with décor but NOT with the outcome of my nails - and I even gave them a second chance. Both times I asked for short, rounded nails and got thick, longer square nails. The polish looked as though a 3 year old polished them, uneven, missed spots, some end tips polished, others not. They rush through the manicure, not touching up cuticles or checking to ensure nails were even. My second visit the salon was empty and one nail tech at the next table was grinding her toe nails with the Dremel tool. Very disgusting. I would never recommend this salon to anyone. I made an appointment to get my nails done. I told the man that talked to me that I have 3 kids that were going to be with me, and he said it was ok. I waited one hour and a half for my appointment, I did my nails in another place and was falling apart, so really wanted to removed that. When I got there, the lady was already not friendly, but I understood that she was busy. She tried to removed my mess and then she said I needed to soak my hands in a bowl, wish I said it was ok. After 15 mins, she came back with a very bad attitude, and try to scrub the thing out, it was still on so she left again. 10 more minutes past, she came back and I told her my hands were so dry, white and uncomfortable, everything was already gone... my 9 year old was standing by my side, and this lady just yelled at me that I needed that, so I had to soak my hands (it was already gone, so I was confused)... I asked her why she was rising her voice at me for no reason, she continued and I asked again... everyone was just in shock... the man came after like 10 more minutes, I told him it wasn't his fault but I didn't want any acrylics after what just happened. He didn't say a word. He clean my nails and put some clear color. They charge me $28. She also disrespected my children for no reason... Not the other employees fault for sure, but I couldn't just not share this experience. read more

I visited Nola Spa today for a pedicure for the first time. I loved the feel of the salon...new, fresh, clean and relaxing. When I got there I was the only one in the salon so there was no rush to get my pedi done, but by the time I left the salon was full.
