    Pumpkin expresso martini

This review is for Nola's Bar which is attached next to the restaurant. This is a cozy cocktail bar with around seven tables and a bar. The mixologist did a wonderful job with my pumpkin expresso martini and my husband enjoyed his expresso martini.

The food was okay and a day that with a sour look upon my lovely face. My dear cousins burger was to large for his mouth get those BUNS UNDER CONTROL! The service was Slow like molasses on a snarled rug. And there was a plethora of flies around my head they stayed so long I named them Fred Ted and dead after I squashed them!

We had the most delightful date night/birthday celebration the other evening at Nola's! Our server April was friendly, knowledgeable and made our meal so special! My cocktail was something out of this world! The name escapes me but it was a kind of take on an espresso martini but 1000 times better! My fiancé got the special and I got the salmon. Both were impeccably cooked and had superb presentations. The piece de resistance was the Cider Donut Bread Pudding. I cannot even begin to describe the perfection that this desert is. The perfect combination of sweet donut with cooked and caramelized parts topped off with vanilla ice cream. Needless to say this place is getting added to our regular rotation!!! Highly recommend checking this place out ASAP and maybe start with dessert!

Upscale restaurant with delicious food that is worth a splurge. I always take out of town guests here for a nice dinner or lunch.

We were told that it wasn't going to be a prix fixe menu as we were a party of under 12 when the reservation was booked (we asked). It was. Selection was somewhat limited particularly for the vegetarians but the waitress said that they could swap veggies in for the trout in the risotto. They didn't. It was just risotto. Potato leek soup. So salty that it was inedible. Like sea water salty. Three of us sent it back. NY Strip. Boring and clearly hadn't been seasoned before cooking (ironic). Not quite cold but really, really close. A little tiny ramekin of chimichurri sauce which I was supposed it make it interesting or tasty I guess. It was neither. The whipped potatoes were delicious. Desert was a borderline interminable wait. And then they served gelato and sorbet to four of us. Think milkshake. A thin, runny milkshake, approaching soup. The food runners and waitress were so embarrassed they couldn't look at us when they dropped the desert and ran. Who lets ice scream, posing as soup out of the kitchen. It used to be a quaint little place with fantastic food ... And now, an overpriced, industrial'ish place with sub-par food (although the owners are clearly cashing out, leaning on its prior reputation). Unfortunate. $85 a head, $1,500 all in with drinks and tip.

My husband and I wanted to get breakfast in town before heading back to the Poconos! Looking for suggestions online we chose The Corner Diner Too as the feedback regarding service and reviews was very positive! Owner and staff take a lot of pride in their business! Make everyone feel welcome and have a great sense of humor! If you're visiting the Verona or surrounding area would highly recommend! Food and service was great! Refreshing too see a properly ran restaurant and a friendly and organized team!! Will definitely be back in the future!!

The ceiling tiles were out of place and each wall was a different color. No one greeted us at the door for a few minutes. Once finally sat, the lady asked us the general questions. There was no " hi how are you ". She seemed like she just hated everything about her job. Once we got our order taken, we were able to give a look around. Floors were disgusting and tables sticky. The food was undercooked and had no taste whatsoever. The music blasting from the kitchen was very distracting. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it was a mom and pop location...we will not be back.
