For dessert, we split a chocolate coconut crème brûlée and a strawberry and cream dessert that was absolutely to die for -- hands down the highlight of the night. The service was phenomenal, our waitress checked on us several times and provided excellent recommendations. She even served our dessert with sparkler when she heard it was our anniversary. Only complaint: the music felt a little out of place for the ambience. It was quiet when we got there but got pretty rowdy by the time we left. The lighting, décor, and overall vibe make it a great spot whether you're grabbing drinks with friends or settling in for a full evening out. Service was top notch from start to finish. Attentive without hovering, friendly, and knowledgeable--exactly what you hope for when trying a new place. The drink program really stands out. The cocktails were interesting and expertly prepared, and you can tell the bartenders know what they're doing. They also have a large selection of spirits, including plenty of off-the-beaten-path bottles for people who like to try something different. It's a great place to explore beyond the usual picks. I ended up walking to the back of the room to find all of the employees chatting away with one another before someone realized I was looking for service. Besides that mishaps, we were surprised how good the food actually tasted as our impression on hotel restaurant food is not that great. We ordered their Iconic Chicken Sandwich ($17) and their Classic Iconic Burger ($16), which both came with fries. I don't mind paying for decent quality food, but had it not been pre-cooked or reheated at least with some mashed potatoes to go with my fillet and bread it wouldn't have been so bad. We were tired and hungry and were told restaurant closed at 10, and thought we were too late to eat there, or that if they did serve something they would to it in a hurry; but decided to check it out anyway. Two guys were having beers and talking, otherwise it was empty, and looked to be under construction too. We ordered and I waited while wife and daughter got settled in room -- Food was GREAT -- Fresh and tasty. The wrap sandwich was memorable. Two ladies running the place apparently do catering business too. They were friendly and obviously take pride in their work. We were surprised to have such great food in such an out-of-the way place, at a bad time. They had some good beers on tap too. (motivated to finally write this since had just had a bad experience at restaurant in expensive/fancy hotel back home in CA; and we reflected on how we had such a great experience at this Motel 6, under renovation, in the middle of nowhere).

She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We were tempted to lick the sauce off the plate. We refrained so we didn't get strange looks. I had the Kimchi Reuben which is made with house made kimchi I might add. My husband got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. We both opted for Poutine Fries for our sides. Guys, this food was unique and spectacular. I'm just bummed it's 3 hours from home!
