I ended up walking to the back of the room to find all of the employees chatting away with one another before someone realized I was looking for service. Besides that mishaps, we were surprised how good the food actually tasted as our impression on hotel restaurant food is not that great. We ordered two pasta dishes, truffle fries for the table, and brussel sprouts to share family style and we didn't leave a crumb behind! All the dishes were more unique than a typical pasta dish you may find elsewhere which was extra fun and soo delicious! The brussels were so soft and topped with so much flavor. It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't to buy the bread to go with my dinner which was $12. I had the turtle cheesecake for dessert, which was fantastic but I don't think it was baked on site. A little over $120 for one person with no drinks. I don't mind paying for decent quality food, but had it not been pre-cooked or reheated at least with some mashed potatoes to go with my fillet and bread it wouldn't have been so bad. The place did have good ambience and outdoor dining. I would definitely go back and try again, but rethink my order completely.

We were checking out schools in NE for my daughter and wanted to check out Hamilton and Colgate. Arrived late at hotel and things looked strange with construction. We were tired and hungry and were told restaurant closed at 10, and thought we were too late to eat there, or that if they did serve something they would to it in a hurry; but decided to check it out anyway. Two guys were having beers and talking, otherwise it was empty, and looked to be under construction too. We ordered and I waited while wife and daughter got settled in room -- Food was GREAT -- Fresh and tasty. The wrap sandwich was memorable. Two ladies running the place apparently do catering business too. They were friendly and obviously take pride in their work. We were surprised to have such great food in such an out-of-the way place, at a bad time. They had some good beers on tap too. (motivated to finally write this since had just had a bad experience at restaurant in expensive/fancy hotel back home in CA; and we reflected on how we had such a great experience at this Motel 6, under renovation, in the middle of nowhere).

The salads and fries were simple and I like my "girl dinner" lol. I was told to come back for their brunch so that's on the list. I see that they host tons of events so I'll definitely have to check those out. Also can't wait to check out the rooftop lounge once they warmer weather returns.
