I have been very unhappy with the lack of response and unfinished work from Chuck…read more I asked him if he pulled permits for my chimney rebuild, and he told me he did not. He explained that he didn't think a permit was necessary because the chimney was built to code. I later contacted the Lake County Building Department, and they confirmed my roofline-up chimney rebuild required a permit and inspections and that no permit had been pulled for my project. I've reached out to Chuck to resolve this issue, but he has not responded. I paid another $500 in March for a radon vent cap, chimney cap, light block, and outlet block. It's now almost August, and the work still hasn't been completed correctly. I ended up hiring another company to install the light and outlet blocks because they were required for my electrical inspection. The radon vent cap that was eventually installed is much larger than the pipe and attached with a screw through the side. The chimney cap is bent up. For months I asked about the radon cap, chimney cap, permits, and the rest of the unfinished work. I also asked for photos after the crack in the top of my chimney was supposed to be repaired, but I never received them, so I have no way of knowing whether it was fixed. After months of trying to get everything finished, my messages just went unanswered. I'm disappointed because I trusted Chuck, and now I'm left dealing with unfinished work and a permit issue that should have been handled from the beginning.
