Our friend group had a great time staying at the 1028 Alpenhaus Lodge in Steamboat recently. It was such a beautiful property and a great space for a large group. The open kitchen/bar layout was a perfect space to hang out while someone cooked or mixed up drinks, and the views from the back deck were excellent. Very close to town, hiking trails and the hot springs. The house keeping supervisor (Arturo) and Kelli with the customer service team were extremely helpful, communicative and welcoming as well. Great location! Spacious, nice layout. Good kitchen, well stocked. The thermostat in the master bedroom did not work, but we were able to make it warm with the fireplace. While the heated floors were nice, there were limited mats by the front door, which caused for tracking snow onto the concrete floors. While the unit had laundry, no detergent was supplied. Despite these things, overall, highly recommended, one of the nicest places we've stayed. Can't beat the walk to the slopes. The TVs were extraordinarily challenging. Different remotes operated different tvs, and difficult to get local channels. We could not find the football game on Sunday. read more

Nomadness was very responsive during our stay. We had a small team come into town to install some weather stations to help the Upper Yampa with their water management to help track the runoff after snowmelt. We weren't sure how long we would be in town and actually had to extend our stay not once but twice since we got approval for a second station. They were quick to reply with instructions on how to do this, then accepted- after hours. The property was really nice and clean, better than the photos showed. The garage was nice for our tools/gear and the hot tub was a bonus. I'm usually reluctant to rent an AirBnb through a management company but my experience here made feel I wasn't forgotten about at all. We were kept a priority. Highly recommended! read more

This place was great! Our family spent a few days over July 4th, 2024, here. The beds were comfy, the loft was great for the kids, and the view from the balcony overlooking the ski village was terrific! Though the unit lacks A/C, the condenser fans did the job, even in the summer. There was no noise from neighboring units (except chatter on the balcony). Highly recommended! read more

Recommendation for your self proclaimed "hospitality businesses" don't preach to guests about your cancelation/modify reservation policy like it's written in stone from almighty god above. *business response below is going to be say they offer a cancelation "insurance policy" for an additional 10% fee but read that Contract carefully, doesn't provide guest any protection and the entire onus is on the guest to "Prove" cancelation reason is covered which is impossible.. just a horrible company run by unfriendly angry people. read more

The location is great for a ski trip! We were there in the summer for the Hot Air Balloon Rodeo which turned out to be a great decision. The condo comes with everything you need for a long weekend or a month long stay. Beware! The additional charges for this rental were outlandish. $160 for a cleaning fee + additional fees really put a damper on the great condo. The room was listed at $125/night but when it was all said and done it totaled to $275/night. read more

My Fiancé and I recently had the trip of a lifetime to beautiful Steamboat Springs with all of our friends! We decided to book with Nomadness Rentals due to their awesome summer specials, and stayed at La Casa #1. The unit is absolutely stunning! Quality amenities within including modern appliances and finishes, a unique and charming layout, and a beautiful living room with the coolest lighting feature! We enjoyed being walking distance to the ski area and rode the gondola up for an unforgettable hike. Nomadness also has amazing customer service! I was having trouble connecting my iPhone to the wifi network so I opened the Welcome Book and found a business card for the local Operations Manager Mike. I called him up and he helped me connect right away! Turns out I wasn't entering the password correctly - oops LOL - But Mike was kind and helpful and gave us some recommendations on what to do in town. This review is for home owners not renters as I do think they put the renters first. As a homeowner however they are not only unprofessional but frankly manipulative in their requirements of who you use for services and why. Upon engaging with Nomadness we were required to use their insurance who never covered more than a stolen blanket when windows were broken and our carpet was ruined. In order to use the lock they required our door was permanently damaged if we decide to ever remove the lock. In ending our contract with them we have been barred from working with some amazing services in Steamboat which I think is detrimental to the Steamboat economy as a whole. Now on a personal level I could not imagine a business ever making us feel so horrible about providing them an asset to profit from. We were consistently told how sub par our property was and not up to their standards. Now in a mountain town (especially not Aspen or Vail) not everything will be brand new and without faults. We have been working through a BIG to do list since purchasing our property but there have been restraints such as capital and sourcing the right contractors in a mountain community. They would berate us twice yearly about some of these issues. The last straw with us was when they went over our head and refunded guests for the temperature inside our house during a crazy heat wave in July. I would have preferred the guests checked out with a partial refund to find another place to sleep 9 in the valley with AC. The separation was maybe the most laughable part of it all. It was like they wanted to break up with us even though we already terminated our relationship. I would like to add we worked with some amazing people at Nomadness over the course of our partnership. However, most of them have since moved on ( You can deduce what you want from that;) Best of luck Nomadness on your venture into the Yampa Valley. THIS COMPANY IS TRYING TO DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY AND TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS AS THEY WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED. To review our experience, we were horrified to hear a couple days before our reservation that our reservation was being cancelled because of a double booking and the Nomadness employee told us that they could not find us an alternative place. They refunded the credit card charge, and I originally left a one star review recounting the terrible day we had scrambling to find a place that costed significantly more money since there were few nice places still available. The Nomadness CEO, Millie, reads the various review sites and sent me an email and left her phone number. We talked and she communicated her remorse and her desire for Nomadness to treat their customers the way they would like to be treated. Those involved were retrained, and although Nomadness noted that the double booking was not their fault, they stepped up and paid for the majority of the more expensive booking that we made with another rental company. In the end, we ended up in a great place at a much discounted rate due to the professionalism of Millie and the Nomadness Rental company. I love it when someone makes a mistake and then comes back and does the right thing. I'm now a fan of Nomadness Rentals and would even recommend other to use them because they will attempt to treat you as they would like to be treated. read more
