A friend of mine used Non-Stop for her wedding, and I remember having a blast dancing at her wedding so I was more than happy to check them out. I met with Ryan, who is professional but also just a cool dude. You can tell he gets it, and is up on the trends in the music and entertainment world. He took me through a whole presentation and explained how all of the wedding could be planned through their portal. The portal makes sure you address all the possible needs of a wedding- cocktail hour, first dances, bouquet tosses, and even if you want to accept requests or not, etc., but it's easy to indicate if you're skipping anything as well. His presentation was thorough and answered all my questions so I booked them the next day. I just went with their 6 hour DJ package, but they also offer longer packages with additional lighting and sound features, uplighting, fabric, photo booths, etc. You could really get a lot taken care of through this company! Although Ryan was not our DJ, the DJ we had (Chris B.) was very good. He played a great mix of songs and lots of people were dancing all night!! The guy never took a break, even though I did plan for him to eat dinner. My only two issues, which really weren't a big deal was that at one point the Christmas song "Silver Bells" came on during cocktail hour, and I promise that was not a song request. The other thing was that a few of our selected dance songs weren't the exact version I expected to here, but it was still the correct song overall so it wasn't a big deal. My fiancé and I hired Non-Stop Entertainment in September for our wedding this past weekend. Originally we had one DJ and he had unexpected plans come up so we had to switch about a month before hand. Even though that is a glitch in the system, the owner, Ryan Meeks, really took care of my fiancé and I. He offered many options to make up for the switch, and met with us to just make sure we were on the same page with our new DJ Joe. Honestly, might have been the best thing only because Joe was phenomenal! He kept the dance floor flooded all night. There did seem to be breaks or any pauses to clear people off. He fully listened and executed everything we wanted for our wedding. Joe made the night incredible and bought happy tears to my eyes by having the entire dance floor end with the a huge group hug as our last song. It was the coolest moment to end on! After my wedding all the guests complimented me on my DJ, Billy. He did a fantastic job. They loved how he kept the music flowing. During the reception, I went up to him to tell him he did a fantastic job and to keep playing whatever he wanted. We gave him a few must play songs for cake cutting and parent dances, but he really didn't need anything more. Billy also did the music for our ceremony and everything was timed perfectly. We chose non-stop after a recommendation from a friend and it was a great choice. From our first meeting with Ryan and Billy, I felt like they had a great grasp on the whole situation. Their website for planning is really easy to use. They are readily available to meet both in brick and motar storefront, over the phone and via email. I loved the uplighting that came with the package. It definitely added something special to our venue. We also used their photobooth, which was big hit with our guests. The photobooth operator was so wonderful too. He gave us a usb drive and a binder with print outs and notes from our guests. I don't know why people keep screwing with my wedding. I thought we had Ryan for our wedding, it was just a matter of trying to meet with him to sign the contract and give the check. However, people are money hungry and when more money comes into the picture, I always get booted. If Ryan had been up front and honest with me from the beginning (he is a family friend of ours so I thought I could trust him) that a couple that would be spending more money was looking at the same date as we were, I could have respected the fact that he booked with them. He was not returning my emails about trying to come in and sign the contract to book him myself and now I know why. He said it was because he was moving, however, he has responded to my emails from his android before, so we know that seems not to be true. (I don't doubt that he was moving, but I have doubts that that was the reason for which he did not respond to me for 6 days about meeting with him) He was a little too shady about all this for my liking and now I have a bad taste in my mouth and many months less to now try and find another DJ. Ryan was our wedding DJ and I just can't write enough great things about him. He played exactly what we wanted and moved the entire reception along. At first, I was nervous about having to constantly check our timeline to make sure things were running smoothly, but within the first hour of the wedding, we noticed Ryan had everything under control and the two of us were able to enjoy ourselves. The two of us come from very different families (music wise), but Ryan was able to find the perfect balance of popular, classic rock, Spanish, oldies, and house music. It was awesome! He dedicated every song we asked him to dedicate, and played any guest request given (as long as it wasn't on our "do not play" list! We also noticed right away how incredibly professional Ryan was. He checked in with us a few times throughout the night, making sure we were liking the music and flow of events. He was very personable and got our wedding guests involved without being cheesy or obnoxious. We asked to do the Newlywed Game (aka Shoe Game) during the reception which he had never done before, and he put his own twist to it getting our wedding guests to participate. It was a ton of fun. Another thing is he was INCREDIBLY helpful. I'm a DIY kind of bride and didn't have a wedding coordinator so Ryan was able to catch all the little things we needed help with, but didn't even know. Originally, we had our cake cutting scheduled for an hour and a half after dinner because we were told it'd be fine. When we finalized everything with Ryan a few days before the wedding, he politely mentioned we might want to double check with our hall to make sure it'd be alright to have cake cutting so late. He even offered to call and take care of it for us. Sure enough, we were able to have the cake cutting so late and he saved us a LOT of headache the day of the wedding! What really impressed us is how super helpful he was, despite the fact we had to make quite a few changes the week of the wedding in regards to the timeline. It was wonderful working with Ryan and he really impressed the both of us, especially considering the wonderful bargain we got from him. Non-Stop did a great job with our family reunion. Both the DJ and the photo booth worker were very nice and professional. The photos from the booth were coming out pretty dark at first, but they helped fix that up right away after we mentioned it. The booth had a great selection of props, and the photos printed quickly. Everybody really loved that they were each able to get a copy of the prints. A few small complaints: the mic they used had a delay on it, which was distracting. Also, one song that we requested at the party the DJ didn't have (which was a bit surprising, since it was a pretty popular song). Want something different at your next birthday/wedding/graduation/whatever party? I suggest get a PHOTOBOOTH! I cannot comment on the DJ service but I will rate them on their service for the Photobooths. They did my son's first birthday and baptismal party and did a wonderful job. They were very professional even before my event. Ryan (the owner) let me come by an event he was working to check the booth out in action. They had different layouts to choose from and was able to customize and make the photos personal. Two attendants were there to make sure that the camera was in focus each time, which was good because there could be 8 people in one frame and 2 in the next and to cut the strips. They have an awesome array of props of wigs and hats and were open to bringing our own props. Don't expect to wait long for your pictures because they print in a matter of seconds! At the end of the event they presented me with a photostrip of everyone's photobooth session which I thought was a great touch. Ryan even mailed me a CD with all the pictures that were taken that day. They definitely "wowed" my guests and some of them are even going to book them for their own event. He has an awesome backend where you can go and select all the songs you want played at the different times in your wedding/party. We are SO happy we went with Ryan's company, Non-Stop Entertainment, for our wedding. From start to finish, everything was wonderful. First of all and most importantly, after the wedding, we received so many compliments on the music. Albert, our DJ, took the list of songs I gave him ahead of time and used that to put together the perfect night of music. I really like hip-hop, but my husband and his side of the wedding like oldies. Albert somehow got it all to work! Among the many weddings we have been to, I really think our dance floor was the most crowded throughout the night. Also, Albert was so fun and so professional! He really was the quintessential DJ! We found Non-Stop Entertainment on Yelp, and they did an amazing job with our ~200 person wedding reception! We worked with Ryan throughout the whole preparation, and he was both very accommodating and very organized. Non-Stop Entertainment's website offered planning guides, music samples, recommendations, and a place to mark your specific requests. There were a few songs that weren't listed, but Ryan found them without issue. We had a long list of special requests including a complex set of instructions and music for our wedding party introductions and special sequences for some traditional Filipino dances that Ryan executed perfectly. Our guests raved about how much they enjoyed the music (Facebook was littered with dozens of statuses about sore bodies from too much dancing at our wedding). This is no small feat considering many of our guests (including me) are not big on dancing, plus we had 4 generations of our families present... we even rolled out my grandma's wheelchair out to the dance floor for a little while! He knew exactly what to play and when to play it as the dance floor was packed the entire night all the way until our last dance at 1AM. I would also like to note that they have other equipment including lighting. He offered his uplights at a much more reasonable price than our decorator, and they really set the room off. The DJ is THE life of the party; they can literally make or break the event! We told Ryan, "If people are on the dance floor, keep doing what you're doing!" With the exception of 3-4 songs, we didn't provide him with any other direction; he's a professional and we trusted that he could keep people on the dance floor, and he absolutely did...it was packed all night, and Ryan was even able to mix some songs rather than just playing the traditional back-to-back wedding songs. We couldn't be happier with the way our wedding night turned out, and the party atmosphere was definitely compliments of Ryan! Just like the majority of our vendors, Ryan did not allude to the fact that he has multiple events and weddings each week. He made us feel "special" and like he was only working with us, and made great suggestions on music and timing. We first met with Ryan to discuss DJ services, and then quickly after, booked our photobooth through him as well. Several months later, we asked him for a videographer recommendation, and it turned out that he was able to provide those services as well. It was invaluable to have all three of those services housed under one contact! He showed up early, got along great with our guests, and worked closely with our banquet manager to ensure that everything went by seamlessly - his hard work was obvious and it paid off four our awesome party!! This was a larger tent covered by velour material; it didn't look like an eyesore, and it fit a large group of people all at once. Ryan, the manager at Non-Stop Entertainment, made our wedding wonderful on 6/15/13! He also was the DJ for our event. We got a recommendation for Non-Stop after a friend's wedding and having a fantastic time dancing the night away. Our wedding was just as fun! Ryan was personable and accommodating. He was very helpful, and made sure he had the right versions of songs we wanted by letting us listen to clips. Our first dance song was a more non-traditional choice, but Ryan promptly got the song after we told him what we wanted. It doesn't get much better than that! We also used Non-Stop for a photo booth...and the photo booth was the star of the party! (Well, maybe aside from the bride and groom!) Everyone young and old was in the photo booth all night. We also received a flash drive of all of the pictures, which was hilarious to see! I can't recommend Ryan enough! We booked him for our August 10, 2013 wedding and we couldn't have asked for anything more! We met once before the wedding when I put down the deposit and then again the week before the day and everything was always friendly and casual. The planning worksheets he provides were incredibly helpful so we didn't miss anything important. He was also very quick to respond to any emails or texts that I sent him. The entire night of the wedding, I only spoke with once.. which is a good thing! I didn't have to remind him to play anything or tell him to change the music or anything. The night was flawless and we and most of the guests were on the dance floor the entire time. When we met with Ryan he mentioned that he was going to start the night out with some earlier music from the 70s and 80s. I was initially skeptical, but figured he knew best. This was spot on. My Aunts were the first ones on the dance floor dancing to the music they remember from their weddings. I never thought I'd see the day they dance! One of my other (many) favorite memories from the night was looking over and seeing my mom and dad jamming out to Thrift Shop! LOL. We seriously had the best time and had no problems with getting people on the dance floor. The music was fantastic. I can't recommend him enough! My best advice for other brides is to not overload the Play and Do Not Play lists. We only had maybe 20 songs split between the lists and Ryan did a great job reading the crowd and knowing what people were liking. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Ryan, who was our wedding DJ on 10/26/12! We hired Ryan soon after listening to his samples online and meeting with him in person. From the early planning stages to the event itself, he was always available for questions. Ryan even met with us one last time a few days before the big day, which really eased our stresses about the reception. As an MC, Ryan moved the night along without interfering with any of the festivities. We had a 'night at the movies' theme for the reception, and he played movie soundtrack songs all throughout cocktail hour and dinner. It was perfect. I've been to so many weddings with DJs who play the same old playlists they've used since the 80's (chicken dance, macarena, etc. etc.). Ryan is not like that at all. He's up to date with music trends and styles. His mixes/mashups (which were a huge selling point for us) were original and catchy. We received countless compliments from our guests on how much they LOVED the music at our reception. The dance floor was pretty full for most of the night, and most of our friends/family members aren't even big dancers. That's how good the music was! The online planning was helpful to us for organizing our music for the entire night, and helped him have an idea of exactly what we wanted for our wedding. As co-chair for the recent Girl Scout "Special Someone and Me" dance at my daughter's school in La Grange Park, I was looking for a way to turn an every day gym into a "magical" dance room for the girl scouts and their dates. And, that is exactly what Non-Stop Entertainment owner Ryan Meeks helped me to do!! Ryan provided us with music activated lighting, in a rainbow of bright colors, that projected up the gym walls and onto the ceiling!! The lighting was AWESOME and allowed us to keep the flourescent overhead lights off (which I was dreading having to keep on)!! Ryan told me he typically concentrates on only a couple of different colored lights to prevent a room from looking too busy. However, since the dance was for young girls the array of colors in the lights, plus the hundreds of bright colored flowers the girls help us make to decorate the gym, was absolutely perfect. Adding lights was a rather last minute thought and Ryan called me right back after leaving a message at his business. He was so very accommodating for us and I know we will definitely use him again in the future. Next time I am hoping we have a budget for a DJ too as Ryan would be my only choice!! Ryan just DJ'ed my wedding on Saturday and he was OUTSTANDING. He's been a 5 star vendor since the get go. He answered every single email from the first to the last. I had the Miami package (I'm pretty sure!) and also added uplighting. Ryan made me a custom uplighting color since my wedding was rose gold, it turned out fantastically. He also helped with putting together our timeline and making sure every single component of the reception ran smoothly. He called me and we chatted about music, intros, and my vision for the whole event. He truly took care of everything. I got married a couple weeks ago, 9/21/19, and having non-stop entertainment as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made! Our DJ, Rob, was amazing! My husband is Polish and he was able to accommodate us by having Polish dance music as well as American dance music. He had a great mix of the two types of music which was very important to my husband and I. After my husbands and my first meeting with Rob we knew we could trust him to be a fun and energetic DJ to get the crowd dancing, which he did. Rob was so easy to talk and plan with putting our minds at ease. Ryan, the owner, was the most helpful person we dealt while planning our wedding. Every month I would receive emails from Ryan regarding important information we needed to know as well as a check list for planning. It was extremely helpful. Every month getting that email just made me even more excited for our wedding! We also had the photo booth with non-stop. It was such a hit! The photo strip scrap book was such a nice touch given by non-stop. Our guests were able to write in the book making it even more special. The amount of temples you can pick for your event's photo strip was impressive, so many different type of color schemes for various events. The up lights from non-stop were also amazing and just what our room needed. Non-stop is the absolute best! If at any point we had a question, Ryan was always so quick to respond. I 10/10 recommended this company and will use again for future events. Having the up lights, photo booth, and DJ package was an amazing deal with a very affordable price! I cannot say enough good things about Ryan Meeks and Non-Stop Entertainment. We hired him for our June 22nd wedding after hearing him DJ at a family member's wedding last fall, and I am so glad we did. From the very start Ryan was extremely accommodating and helpful. Out of all the wedding vendors we used, Ryan was always the quickest to respond with no problems whatsoever. They use an online program that you can use to choose songs that you do or don't want to be played, which was really neat. He played all the songs that we wanted, and even in the middle of the reception I remembered 2 songs I forgot about and ran over to Ryan and he was able to squeeze them in, no problem. Pricewise I felt that they were really reasonable, especially for what we got. They provided the speakers and lights, and even put speakers in the separate dining room with super short notice. Ryan also did a great job introducing everybody throughout the night over the microphone. I was so happy that our dance floor was packed the entire reception, thanks to Ryan and Non-Stop Entertainment. I would highly recommend them to every bride or party planner. Ryan was awesome! We received many compliments throughout the night that everyone had a fantastic time. From the teenage "fist pumpers" (sorry I really do not like Jersey Shore) to the older aunts and uncles, everyone found time on the dance floor. He played all the music we requested and none of the lame stuff we wanted to exclude. His website makes it easy to organize and plan what we were looking for in our DJ and he offered meet us up a few times before the wedding to make sure all the details were exactly what we wanted.
