I was instantly greeted when I came in. The gal that greeted me also checked me out. She was super sweet. After I purchased a few things, I walked back and asked her if they sold lighters. They were conviently at the register. Got rang up again and made my way out the door. I appreciate how nice the gal was today. In the past, the associates were so rude which always threw me off. You work at such a fun store to be so rude and unhappy. I stopped coming in for a while. I have always found it fun to come in and see all the fun stuff they have. All the fun stuff for every holiday, I miss that. But today was a special visit. Had to make sure I got the fun candles and birthday hats for my grandma's special day. They had a beautiful supply of individual and boxed holiday card sets from a variety of small letterpresses. After some searching, I found some lovely options from local letterpress, Ladybug Press. With my boxes in hand, I began to venture toward the cash register. But, wait! Are those local tees from Banana Ink? Yes. Yes, they are. They have a nice selection of locally printed tees. Banana Ink works with local artists and designers to create a line of Idaho inspired tees, hoodies, hats, and other wearables. And, while, you could make the trip to downtown Boise to their shop to pick something up--it's nice to know that their stuff can be found in Meridian as well! I was able to find an awesome tee for a Christmas gift. I also noticed that they carry a range of beard products from local barber shop, The Beardsmith. A little unlikely, perhaps, but pretty awesome to see this local business so supportive of other local businesses (really amazing ones to boot!). They also do a variety of fun and crafty workshops on occasion (ie: In February, they're offering a Modern Calligraphy workshop). Such a gem of a stationary shop! I look forward to wandering in each and every time I find myself making the trip from Boise to The Village. Get to it!
