Went on a whim for lunch today during the Fall Fest. Our server was Anthony. We were pretty indecisive about what we wanted to order; with Anthony so help, we were able to narrow it down to 2 options. We can always rely on Nonno Alby's for good wood fired pizza with quality toppings. I alternate between the Diavola and the Nonno Alby's pizza. They also have a good selection of craft beers on tap. The only drawback is that parties larger than four will probably have to wait for a table (during prime dining hours) as it is a smaller restaurant. read more

This place is the best! I first went for dinner one weekday evening with 2 friends. I love the fact that it's BYOB. Our server, Steve was extremely pleasant and helpful. He immediately brought us an ice bucket for our white wine and gave us menu suggestions. Our pizzas were delicious! We lost track of time and ended up staying for almost 4 hours! No one bugged us at all about leaving even though they had technically closed. They've made changes in decor and the ambiance is so much nicer than when it was Good Eatz. My husband I and another couple went there for dinner on a Saturday. Food and service was again top-notch. One of the owners came over and spoke with us - extremely personable and welcoming. I was there before for lunch and food was good...so decided to stop in on a Friday night after a trip to the Running Store down the street. Place was very busy... we had to wait approx 20 minutes. Not bad however the hostess sat 3 tables that arrived after us before us. She gave us a different excuse each time. Then when we were seated ... we sat for 10 minutes without a server. I've eaten there two times before and was very impressed with the quality of their food. Tonight, I invited a friend to join me there for dinner after a meeting. My friend ordered the "Quattro formage" (4 cheese) personal pizza and I ordered the "hot and spicy mustard chicken wings." The experience tonight was much different than my first two visits. The "Quattro formage" pizza was horrible. No tomato sauce, no garlic, no nothing. Just 4 different kinds of cheese melted onto pizza crust. It was revolting. My wings weren't much better. They were hot as far as the temperature went but they were blah, not at all spicy, and there wasn't any kind of mustard flavoring to them. When we were done and waiting for our check we had to sit for 15 minutes or so listening to our waitress, with her back to us, chatting with her friends two tables away. Finally when some customers came in I was able to get her attention. Our bill came to $26 and some change and I handed her two twenties. She looked and then and asked; "Do you want change back?" Was she really expecting a 48% tip? No freaking way. She comes back with my change and hands me a 10 and 3 ones. I was so tempted to leave the 3 ones as a tip but I'm not that cold. I followed her back toward the kitchen and asked for 2 fives. She seemed surprised. I left her $6 which comes to 22% which I believe is more than fair. I won't write this place off just yet. Next time I'll either have the kind of pizza U ordered originally or I'll have the regular barbecue wings and see how that goes. I'll also pay next time with my card. read more

Ordered takeout. Started with the Salmon Tartar Bite. It was minced Salmon on three pieces of romaine with crumpled hard boiled egg - plain and ordinary. If I would have seen a picture I would have not ordered it. Next the pizza Capriccioso. I substituted black for green olives and was hoping for fresh kalamata olives but they were dried oil cured ones and were too salty and overpowering. The flavor was OK, but I anticipated an artisan thin crisp curst, but it was floppy and chewy. Additionally, there was little tomato flavor, but that could have been overshadowed by the toppings. Authentic pizza ingredients any true fan of Italian cuisine would enjoy. We love to sit at the bar where you can watch them make each pizza by hand and toss them in their custom brick oven. They make their own spicy wing sauce made with long hots and real peppers that is fantastic. We've only tried dessert once, a fresh, homemade lemon-blueberry cake, and it was so good! I am not sure what it would take for me to give 5 stars but this almost did it for me. This is the best pizza I've eaten...even better then the emotional nostalgia pizza of the beaches. My 2 teenage boys and I hit this place from out of town and glad we did. Their pizzas are all 12 inch and we got 3 different ones and split them up. We also got wings which were awesome as well. This place is great! When I first tried Nonno's, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a very relaxed feeling but I definitely did not expect the quality of the food to be so great! This tastes so much more authentic than any other pizzeria in the area, but the most surprising and delicious thing on the menu is the wings! They are better than the nearby BBQ restaurants and other pizzerias in the area! When I crave wings, I think of Nonno's. Their Caprese Salad is delicious as well! I have eaten there and had their food delivered about half a dozen times but the last time I went I had a server named Kearsten. She was so sweet and helpful. She cracked a joke from the beginning and felt more like a friend than a stranger. She was very attentive to all my food requests and stayed professional.
