It really was hidden too because if not for GPS, we'd have driven right past it. Nook and Kranny describes it perfectly because it's a cool little spot off the beaten path. The food was delicious! My wife and I each had the Muffin French Toad and my stepson had the breakfast sandwich. For me, the star of the show was the cinnamon grits I ordered...they were fantastic! Super friendly service, cute vibes, and yummy food. We got the club sandwich and it was super tasty. We also got the chicken corn chowder (delicious) and the broccoli cheddar soup (good, but slightly too salty). The decor is kitschy and cute, and they have a pretty diverse menu. This is a cute place with a very eclectic look. Every table had a different style set of Christmas salt and pepper shakers and no two coffee mugs or plates were the same. Little tea pots and handmade pot holders are for sale on the walls and in the windows. The food here is good and satisfying. The service, not so much. We waited quite a while for our order to be taken, and then to receive it. It's very small, so tables are one on top of another. Don't discuss any state secrets! The coffee is good, but no refills are offered and you have to flag down someone for more. In the winter, make sure you're dressed warm and lucky enough not to be seated directly in front of the doorway, as you're in the direct line of the cold wind coming in every time the door opens. That's the reason we found the only open table when we arrived, so it was on the chilly side. read more

A friend told me about this place. Lived here for 3 years and never knew about it. Came today for my birthday breakfast and it was delicious! We got the croissant bfast Sammy and the grilled king wrap special. Both delicious. They don't skimp on the egg here - really appreciated that. Croissant was grilled to perfection absolutely delicious tasted fresh too. We will definitely be back. Top 3 brreakfast spots for sure. They also do lunch. I would rather have cancer again and eat terrible hospital food again than do this place again. First time I went, the pork was bad. It had a sour smell even after it was cooked. I gave it another chance and got food poisoning. Just gave it a third chance. No. One waitress took care of most of the people as other floor staff just stood there and not do or say anything.The food was so bland I thought I had COVID! (Took a test and I didn't) The coffee was flavorless water, Le croix had more flavor than their coffee. Cream chipped beef was a mess. HOW DO YOU RUIN SUCH A GOOD DISH!!?? Brought a friend here for lunch on Saturday. We were both impressed with the salads and turkey sandwiches. She got the turkey BLT and I got the special turkey with cok slaw. Portions are generous though the price is a bit high at 17 and $18. We brought half our sandwich home. Salads are excellent with the house dressing that is a champagne vinaigrette. Highly recommended. We arrived at noon on Saturday and there was a table waiting. Sometimes on a Sunday it gets busier for breakfast which is a fantastic selection. It's a place of wonderful bric-a-brac and oddities. The staff was so fast and efficient. They sat us quickly, took our drink orders, and offered suggestions on great local fare. It has taken me over 12 years to finally walk in this space, thanks to some friends. Parking lot is deceivingly larger than anticipated. Scored a spot right in front. The space inside is on the smaller side, so anticipate a wait if you don't show up before 9am. Service very friendly and they are quick to serve you. Their coffee was solid. They have a nice tea selection, so be sure to ask what they have or they will serve you up something more pedestrian. A few specials always posted on the board. I had their homemade hash omelet and it was cooked perfectly. Not too brown and cooked throughout. Their toast is LeBus (sp?), so it was 2 pieces of very thick rye bread. I absolutely loved it. Their breakfast potatoes are very small nuggets with no onions. A bit boring if I'm being honest, but mixed well with the eggs and ketchup for me. The aesthetic inside with the little trinkets and old fashioned decor made for a very homey feeling! The Eggs Benedict that I ordered was good, but I tried some of my friend's quiche and it was VERY GOOD. I'd recommend checking out the quiche of the day with some homemade fries when you order. Big Boy Benny is Eggs Benedict on a pork roll. Soup, salad, and sandwich pictures are from our lunch visit. Hubby said it was amazing. In the 10 days we were here, I have visited 4 times (twice for breakfast, once for lunch, and once for coffee & dessert). It's a small out of the way place that is popular with the locals.
