Veggie 3 egg omelette with home fries and GF toast
    Tara V.

I've eaten at this place on and off for 45 years. It's mostly been mediocre and at times there was a whole lot of crazy with the one owner's wife. It seems to have leveled out. Good was solid. Omelette was fresh veggies, cooked perfectly. They also could easily do the home fries on the grill to avoid the fryer. They had GF toast! Server was nice and not overly cloying in her diner service. Just as kitschy an interior as I recall.

Update: Had breakfast here again, with a much more disappointing experience. Decided to try one of the daily specials, Huevos Rancheros, which is one of my favorites, but the plate came out with many fried elements. The Hashbrown patties had been deep fried, as well as mini tortillas, something I've never seen before. I don't like fried food, and don't expect that for breakfast, so I had to send that back. So I opted for what I had there before, a veggie omelette. The food was OK, not bad, not great. It was also not something I would go out of my way for. Service was also not good. It was not busy, but I almost got up and left when nobody came over to take my order. I had to keep looking around and staring down a server. I requested that she top off the coffee frequently as I like coffee really hot, but each time I had to request it. And in the end, though I asked for a check, I wasn't presented with a bill. I had to go to the register to pay where she presented the total, which took me by surprise. $16 for an omelette and a cup of coffee in a divey place. Turns out they also add 3% for using a credit card. Sorry, I won't be going back. There's another place I like much better about 5 minutes away.

Different cheesesteak #1,000 in the last four years. I love Jim T's cooking and this is old building. Mark Wahlburg filmed a movie here with M Night Shyamalan. Jim cooks a very good ribeye. When I go back I am going to get the ribeye in one of the other 5 menu items. Probably the cheesesteak omelette. Everything was good, for me it just didn't work as a cheesesteak. I don't hate kaiser rolls. It had a good amount of cheese surrounding the meat but I like it mixed together. Jim's ribeye doesn't really need mushrooms and onions but mushrooms and onions can enhance good ribeye. I would have liked more mushrooms and onions.

The food here was so good. I had the meat lovers omelet, home fries with onions, an English muffin and a sweet tea. Next time I'll try the sweet iced coffee. There was a wait but it wasn't too long. All of the staff was very welcoming and attentive. Defiantly will be back.

Sure it's oddly dated. Like a cross between my moms early 70's Colonial living room set and a 50's diner. I mean this in a nice nostalgic way. The service was pleasant and the owner has a really cute dog. The food was spot on. Crispy grilled cornbread, friend had a perfectly cooked omelette and I had bacon crispy and eggs with hash browns. It was all delicious . It's on the expensive side but breakfast is cheap even when it's expensive. Right by Valley Forge park so you can stop before or after.

    Great food and friendly service!

Met my friend here for breakfast at what she affectionately calls the G Spot. Very old building with exposed wood beams. The bathrooms have the old heavy barn style doors with the metal latches that you have to lift up to get out. Very cool. The diner style seating adds a nice touch. Extensive menu with many items that I wanted to try like the strawberry cream cheese french toast, crepes, and banana walnut french toast. I chose the Island french toast that had pineapple, pecans, and coconut. I was served a very large portion and it was very good. Couldn't eat it all. My friend had the maui fruit salad which had blueberries, raspberries, bananas, and more! It came with yogurt on the bottom. My friend was pleased to hear she could get it with Greek yogurt. My friend ordered scrapple which shockingly, I have never had. I know, I'm from Pennsylvania Dutch country I should have had this many times before now. My mother certainly ate a lot of it! If you don't know what scrapple is, you probably don't want to know. However, I tried it and liked it! Go me! Our waitress, Karen, was lovely and kept our cups full of coffee and earl grey, my fav. Lunch items sounded good and if I was there for lunch, I would have had the pork roll. As a side note, the famous director my Indian friend calls Shamalamadingdong filmed a scene from The Happening here. If you haven't seen The Happening, don't. However, do stop at the G Spot for a bite to eat!

Fabulous quaint spot that was able to accommodate our large party. We had everything from scrapple to waffles to steaks and burgers. Worth the stop - eat

When I ordered it, I asked the staff to wrap the crap out of it in foil as I was sticking it in luggage (which they so lovingly did) and flying back home with it. So I actually waited to try it until it endured 8 hours of travel squashed in my backpack. I then reheated it in my toaster oven and had low expectations considering everything this day old sandwich had been through, and it turned out to be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. If I'm ever back in the area, I will definelty be trying this sandwich fresh to see if it could possibly be any better. While most of the patrons here stop by to watch a game while enjoying a glass of beer, and the interior is quite small. However, it's a nice local spot to visit and you can call in to get take-out or order online via DoorDash or Uber eats. Of note, if you dine on or call to order, they are a cash-only on Mondays and Tuesdays. There is a small parking lot next to the bar, so you don't have to go around the neighborhood looking for parking. I haven't stayed around to dine in, but it has a very traditional dive bar vibe. So if you're looking for something simple, this seems like a good place for that.

Ask around Phoenixville for the best local cheesesteak, and you'll almost always hear Bridgeside's name thrown in the mix. Despite being incredibly close to our house, we seem to always miss their opening hours. Recently, we decided it was finally our time to visit Bridgeside Deli and Grille! This family owned and operated institution is a small but mighty operation. Their menu is extensive - lots of great options, sure to please all the palates. If you dream, I bet Bridgeside Deli can make it a reality. We opted for cheesesteaks. I got a cheesesteak hoagie, and my boyfriend got a Whiz steak witout onions - classic meat and cheese. We opted to pop in, order, and wait. I think we were there less than 10 minutes, so they were incredibly efficient! One sandwich could have easily fed us both - but we're not one's deny ourselves. I love my cheesesteak hoagie. The bread was a homerun, which can make or break a cheesesteak. You can order ahead, if you don't want to pop in and wait. They have breakfast sandwiches! I'd be keen to get my hands on one sometime soon. Parking is street parking. There's a few 15 minute loading zones out front, and this should suffice since this isn't the place you'll be enjoying your goodies. Plan to get it to-go - no tables. Hours are a bit odd - like if you want a cheesesteak past 5pm on Saturday, you might be out of luck. Otherwise, just time your visit during open hours, and you're sure have a good trip to Flavortown.
