We booked NOOR a year ago for our wedding of 160 guests after looking for a high value, reasonably-priced venue in the LA area. We were immediately impressed by the supreme competence of sales VP Bridget Anne who knew every detail of the venue and how we could best structure the package to fit our vision. It's really hard to imagine that you could can get a better deal for your money anywhere else, especially when you consider that the service charge and tax is already baked in. When our event representative Anna and Bridget Anne both left the company due to life changes a couple of months before our wedding, we were a bit concerned that there would be a drop-off. However, Merissa took over for Anna and did a fantastic job making sure every detail happened according to plan. Also we used Wife of the Party as our wedding coordinators which was heavily recommended by Bridget Anne and they ran the event flawlessly. The bottom line is, on the day of your event, NOOR shows up and executes flawlessly, from the decor, to the food, to the event management. 01/28/22 From the moment we stepped into the Ella Ballroom at Noor in May 2021, we knew it was the venue for us! The ballroom is absolutely beautiful all on its own. Upon arriving in our first meeting, we met with Robert who was absolutely accommodating to our wedding guest size and vision. In 2019, we found Noor and immediately fell in love with the venue and most of all with how efficient and caring Bridget Ann, the VP of Sales was - she gave a great tour and would answer all my questions and we were booked and ready to go. Then the world changed as we all know it with Covid in early 2020 so our wedding plans got postponed not once, not twice but three times! We recently hosted the Caltech Graduate Student Formal 2023 organized by the Caltech's Graduate Student Council at NOOR's Ella Ballroom and Outdoor Terrace, and it was AMAZING! The ballroom and specially the outdoor terrace with 360 draping are really beautiful and classy event spaces. Robert, Aleen, Merissa, and their team was wonderful to work with - they made the whole planning process quite seamless and memorable. We had to revise our event plan quite a few times due to budget revisions and changes to guest count, and they were very accommodating and patient through it, kindly making suggestions that really elevated our event (ex. Strolling Champagne Dress, Liquid Nitrogen Ice-cream). Due to the scale of the event, we were given the Premium A/V Package for free! There were plenty of delicious food and drinks (Taste of the Mediterranean station, a variety of Hors D'Oeuvres, Vegetable Crudité & Cheese station, Specialty Dessert station including Macarons, Parisienne Crêpes, Chocolate Fountain, Gourmet Espresso, and other hot beverages etc.) to go around, with Prestige-level open bar and signature cocktails designed by the organizers! The event management staff, the bartending staff and the servers were great as well - on the day of, all items in the event agenda were executed smoothly and as envisioned, leaving no detail to worry about for us event organizers! They even had the staff wear cute berets to match our 'Night in Paris' theme! I came to this Venue as part of a company holiday event. This place is literally in the Paseo Mall where the yard house is, this place is in the corner on the north west side. The parking structure with the ramp is the closest to the venue. This place has a really cool and hip feel to it, when you enter it's a bar-type entrance and you can grab a drink from there (soda, juice, etc). You then walk through the double doors and you are in the actual venue, the tables were nicely decorated with bread and salad waiting on the table, I don't know what they use for catering, but the salad dressing was really good. The other food was so-so, so I'm not sure if the food is cooked in house or if they are vendor provided. The steak was overly dry and bland. Also the floor is wobbly for some reason, which means the chairs and tables have some play with it. Had a month to plan a big birthday party which isn't as easy as it sounds but NOOR was able to accommodate all my needs. I had my 39th Birthday here and Bridget Ann contacted me to show me the venue and discuss my party. She was very professional from the start and pleasant the entire time. I specifically wanted to avoid L.A. area and traffic for myself and my guests so the fact that this venue is in Pasadena at Paseo is a bonus! Aesthetically, This beautiful Venue sells itself! Sofia Room accomodates large parties (fortunate to have my party here) and Ella Room for smaller parties. Both are beautiful but the Sofia Room is definitely more grand which is exactly what I wanted. Bridget Ann introduced me to Miranda, my event/party coordinator and she just took charge of all the details. She was very quick to respond to my emails, questions, thoughts..you name it! I felt comfortable knowing Miranda had my back on this. I gave her my ideas/image of decor and party and she saw them through! My party went fabulously. The entire staff from Bridget Ann, Miranda, bartender, chef...everyone were all courteous and helpful. Everyone LOVED the appetizers and entrees (Kudos to the chef) and the drinks were pouring (had zero complaints)! I could go on and on. I had my debut (18th birthday for a Filipino girl) in January 2012 at the Ella ballroom (smaller ballroom) so when it came time to look for a wedding venue in Pasadena, of course, the Noor was on the contender list. Trevor, my now husband, and I did a tour of the Sofia (larger ballroom) ballroom in November 2018 (1 month after getting engaged) and it looked perfect! It was renovated from the time I had my debut in 2012 and Trevor got that "feeling" when he saw it in-person. We originally booked it for our wedding reception on 10/17/2020. Trevor and I had a church ceremony. When COVID-19 hit, the NOOR made it super easy to reschedule and postpone our wedding reception. We moved it to 10/09/2021 seamlessly. I came here for an evening wedding in lovely majestic Pasadena, California on a weekday. Upon entering-- I'm walking on this lovely red carpet in my chosen wedding attire (a dress that had colors that screamed spring more so then fall) and was politely greeted at the door. The first section that everyone walked into was the area (conveniently where the bar and restrooms happened to be) where we all mingled in the midst of this lovely occasion until we were summoned to be seated in section two. When we were summoned, the beautiful dark cherry wood double doors were opened. We all made our way inside the second section of the venue and sat accordingly. I sat on the left, which is where the brides family and friends had a place sit. We all were ensconce in these lovely dark cherry wood benches, long in length. The doors are shut behind us and shortly after reopened for everyone involved in the wedding. I sat patiently with tissue in hand just in case. Once everyone made there way in, all the guests sat back in their seats facing forward with undivided attention. As the pastor recited his words and then then the lovely couple recited their own vows to one another. The pastor then proclaimed their marriage and now they're married! Congrats!! We all made our way back into section one as section two was being redecorated for the reception. Most of us went outside as there was a photo booth with props and high tables to watch everyone take photos! Appetizers were served at this time to hold everyone off until the reception area was ready! Once the reception area was ready we all picked up our color coded name tags (meal options) and made our way inside! The decor was white with woodsy accents. We had our Association's Fall Conference on Thursday, Oct 13 and NOOR helped make it fantastic. We had 6 weeks to plan in the Ella Room for 60 people, then it grew to 90 a week before. Robert, Aleen and their staff were so accommodating with all the last minute changes and increased turnout, they did nothing to add to the stress. The night before, I tested my projector and it was SO small - wah. Robert reminded me of their built in projector for an additional cost. It was pricey, he worked with us, and it was worth it. This was a small con for us, it may not be a big deal for you. Location: In the heart of Pasadena! The staff is attentive and easy-to-work with and takes the initiative on guiding the bride and groom through different options and handling last minute details. The first thing you notice about Noor is Robert finds a way to say yes to all our dreams! My daughter, the creative bride, wanted a special space full of warmth and cheer. Noor made everything a terrific success! Robert gave us our own very sweet hand holder named Kaylan who made our lives so easy. I'm not sure where to start for this absolutely incredible experience. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at NOOR. When beginning to look around for venues, I had done a quick Google search for places which accommodate small weddings in LA. NOOR was the first venue I chose to peruse. I decided to call, and the minute I spoke with Robert (who was very quick to respond), I knew we had found our location. To begin with, Robert is a kind, lovely man, who genuinely wants to make your event perfect. Being musicians who lost ALL work during the "shutdown", we were working with an embarrassingly small budget. Robert was very tactful and kind when explained our situation, and helped us find the perfect options for us. Honestly, absolutely everything provided exceeded our hopes and expectations. The entire process of planning was so easy - made seamless by Kaelan, our event manager (who is also hard-working and very sweet). Robert and Kaelan made every effort to accommodate us in every way to make it the most special day for us. They were always quick to respond, making communication simple. All aspects of the contract were clearly explained, and the timeline / due dates were easy to follow. We held our reception in the stunning, tastefully designed Art Deco foyer, as we only had around 50 people. The table settings were gorgeous, the drinks were perfect, and the plated meals and their presentation were outstanding. I love that NOOR's packages include the linens, plates, silverware, glassware, gratuities, and other fees - we didn't have to stress about a thing! Speaking of the packages offered, NOOR has amazing options for any budget! For our ceremony, we were supposed to be married on the pretty patio, but unfortunately, it rained that morning. Despite the last-minute change to hold the ceremony indoors (which was still beautiful), the day of our event went perfectly. During the reception, the staff were amazing and kind to everyone, and treated us, literally, like royalty. Our friends and family raved for weeks about how incredible everything was, saying it was the perfect mix of class and unpretentiousness. Even my 8 year old son could not believe the quality of everything and has declared he, too, will be married at NOOR! I cannot recommend this venue, and all of it's staff, enough.
