We love Nopale's! The restaurant is really festive and we love the decor. This is where my family gets together for special occasions and just to eat together. The fajitas are one of our favorite things but we try new things too. The food is always fantastic and the service is top tier. They give you enough food for two meals so we always have leftovers. This visit I got the Grande Chimichanga and you can see in the photo how enormous it is and it was delicious! My husband got the ACP Matzlan and he loved it. Overall this place was fantastic. One of the fastest serves we have ever had and the food came out hot and just like we ordered. The chips and queso were great and the salsa was good. Not a fan of the salsa bar due to everything being spicy. The service was excellent. The man was nice and polite and got our drinks fast with refills. We went here to try a new "Mexican" restaurant. It reminded us of Chipotle's only not as good and Chipotle's is bland corporate Mexican type food for people who don't like Mexican food. My wife ordered 4 different types of tacos and they were bland and flavorless. I ordered a carnitas burrito and it was the same. I asked the employee to please grill my burrito so that it was crispy and she said "no" and ignored my request. It's amazing that a Mexican staff would serve such flavorless and tasteless food with such a negative attitude!? If you like Taco bell then this might be an ok alternative but we were very disappointed and do not recommend going here unless you don't care or know the difference. Very sad! read more

I've eaten here on several occasions and have yet to be disappointed. It's not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but for more of an Americanized Mexican, it's really good. I prefer their ACP dishes, cuz CHEESE. Ha. I ordered a half version of their ACP Tex Loco (steak, chicken, shrimp). The portions are really large so even the half was a little more than I could finish off. I love that they well do the veggies, as asked, so they're always soft and cooked through. The cheese and proteins are so plentiful so the dish isn't dry or lacking in anyway. My steak, chicken and shrimp were all tender and juicy which is awesome considering places serve their shrimp overdone and rubbery way too often and the steak in fajita style dishes tends to be tough more than not. Well seasoned, but not overdone. All around, just a nice, filling, tasty meal. read more

While coming home from Asheville, we got hungry and decided to stop in Marion for dinner. This place was the closest Mexican restaurant we found to the interstate so we decided to try it. On a Saturday evening the line was out the door! It moved fairly quickly, but there was a large party that was taking up most of the tables in the middle of the room so not sure this would happen on a normal weekend night. The service was hit or miss. Our waiter was kind and efficient, but we'd go for longish periods without seeing him. Again, busy night so we understood. The food is actually very good. I had a chicken quesadilla with a side of Mexican rice and Charro beans. The Charro beans were fantastic! They were seasoned with little bits of bacon and plenty of spices. I loved them! The chicken quesadilla was also delicious, filled with chicken and cheese and then topped with cheese dip. Cheesy but good! The rice also was topped with cheese dip which totally made that dish! You do have to go up to the front to pay your ticket, which for some reason I hate. In this instance, the cashier (without a word to me) left to go sing happy birthday with a crew of people. When he came back, there was no apology for just abruptly exiting or an explanation. While we enjoyed it, I believe I'd try another restaurant the next time I'm in Marion. read more

Just tried this place for the first time. We have tried other Mexican restaurants since we have lived here and this is by far the best. I got the Costa y Mar which was Steak and Shrimp and a whole lotta other awesome sides. I was full half way through but finished because it was so good. My husband had the Fajitas and there was way more meat than veggies which is not the norm. He usually takes some home, not this time. This restaurant has delicious food and serves ample portions. The problem I have with them is that they have there a little regard for Covid mitigation. Last time I was in the waiters and most of the staff were not wearing masks. In this time of the spread of Covid being so crazy everyone in the restaurant should be wearing a mask. I had to request our waiter wear one and then after that he did not. Nor did some of our servers. So enjoy the food but risk getting Covid. I can't do that and won't be back again until long after Covid has died down. read more

Worst salsa I have ever had in my life, it tasted like watery Mexican ketchup that had never heard of onions or jalapeños. On the plus side the chips were good with a nice crunch to them. Can't go wrong with a house margarita on the rocks right? Wrong, I was presented the sickliest, sweetest margarita which may have never met tequila. It also came in a joke sized glass that was impossible to drink out of without spilling. Sure you could drink it with a straw but then why ask for a salted rim? I tried to go safe for mains too and ordered chicken quesadillas but ended up with cheese quesadillas, no worry, close enough. Unfortunately, they were stuff with some disgusting velveetaesque cheese and were barely edible. It reminded me of my father-in-law's dining set back in Mexico. We were promptly given chips and salsa. The salsa was good, but it could use a little more fire. I ordered jamica water and couldn't believe how good it was. I ordered the combination 4 and it came with 2 beef tacos, beef chalupa, and a beef enchilada. The only thing lacking on this plate was the rice and beans. The food came out hot and fresh and was some of the best that I've had in awhile. When I went to restroom seen waiters dump leftover tortilla chips they bring to your table into a heated roll around machine, seen it going to bathroom.and coming back from bathroom. What tortillas you and everyone else dont eat gets recycled the machine heats them, shakes them and they take them out of there, put in basket and give to next customer. Now, what if someones hands have pee n poop, buggers. I mean endkess options of gross. I asked about it at checkout the lady actually said, "the heat kills germs". On the complaint side, the margaritas were weak, the floors were mildly littered, and half the options in their salsa bar needed refills. Servers are attentive but don't linger. Once the chips arrive, go to the salsa bar and experiment. There are several types to try, including a pineapple salsa that has a sweet heat. I ordered the Sineloa burrito. The combination of chicken and chorizo was perfect, and the sauce complimented the flavor. My wife ordered the ACP chicken, steak, shrimp and chorizo.
