As it was a mild day we sat outside, enjoying the hustle and bustle of St Anne's Square. I ordered off the Vegan Menu and my dining companion from the main Food Menu. We both loved the range of small plates which are named Nibbles, Flatbreads, Bites, Munches and Sides. In particular, my dishes of Lemon & Chilli Olives, Flatbread with spinach, chilli jam & spiced cauliflower and Charred Aubergine, Pomegranate & Mint Salad were moreish and flavourful. A really lovely touch is that Vegan items are clearly marked on the drinks list so I was confident my wine was indeed vegan. Dishes came out of the kitchen at slightly different times, which I always find a bit annoying, but I can forgive this small irritation as the food was outstanding. No idea why they can't call out numbers on the receipt. Each time we go, someone is pissed about having waited too long. 2. The first time we went, we got hummus on the side of a delicious Halloumi wrap but the next time, there was no hummus and the wrap was completely devoid of any dressing and didn't have much filling at all. The lack of consistency is not appealing. If they manage to stick to consistent food and finally sort out their ordering process, this can be the best middle-eastern food in Belfast (in spite of being vegetarian!)

The taste was amazing, really flavoursome and authentic - absolutely no hint of processing - this is the real deal. A curry burrito will only set you back £5! Tikka Tikka (shockingly) is an Indian Take Away restaurant on the Ormeau Road and is the haunt of drunk students swaying home after a night on the town! It's certainly a nice change from a curry chip from a Chinese. I adore Indian food and this place is certainly somewhere I'll visit again. The menu is really quite extensive and I love getting a mix of bhajis, samosas and pakoras to go with my kebab...yes I am a pig but when it comes to Indian food..more is better....especially as there's always some left for breakfast!

The first category is what i call 'a good old dirty' kebab, it consists of the type of kebab meat cheap and is cut in big long streaky lines. Most kebab places will offer this as standard. But every now and again you will come across a place like the Pharaoh that makes genuine kebabs where the meet is 'cut and diced' (thats the name of my second category). Mixed with Pharaohs house sauce, you have got yourself a mighty combination. Seriously sometime in your life you have to try one of these kebabs!!!
