I'm so incredibly impressed with his attention to detail and efforts to really get to the root cause of what was wrong. He's careful to take time with each patient and really listen to what is going on. Then he carefully decides the action plan, carefully selects the types of tests he needs to run to identify the root of the problem and utilizes the information to get his patients well from the inside out. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and deep down he IS genuinely a good person. So many other GI doctors just want to prescribe their patients a bunch of medications to cover up the problems. Dr Mark really wants to get you better! And the staff is always friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond for their patients and it makes a world of difference! Thank you!!!

We made a functional medicine appointment for her with Dr.Mark and he immediately knew what to recommend for her. This is the first time in 4 years that my mother did not have a bad reaction to new supplements she tried and she actually says that she feels better when she takes them. For my family, this is great because its one step closer to helping her body heal without prescription drugs and this has been a 4 year battle. I just stocked up on supplements for her actually. Its the perfect combination. This place has their own supplement line which is awesome!

This review is specifically for the scheduling and reception part of the business…read more My doctor prescribed physical therapy for an injury. I was given the choice of two clinics so I chose Tower Physical Therapy because I had heard good things about them. I called right away to make an appointment. Unfortunately the first available appointment was more than a month away, but I understood that they were busy, and was willing to wait. On the day of my appointment I arrived early to check in since there are always forms to complete for the first visit. The receptionist at the front desk took my name and told me that I did not have an appointment. She asked if my name was a totally different name, to which I replied it was not. She asked who I spoke to when I made the appointment. I didn't write down the name of the receptionist as I assumed it wouldn't be a issue. She went to the back to talk to the available PTs and returned a few minutes later (while calling me the wrong name) to inform me that I had missed my appointment which was scheduled that day, but two hours earlier. I know that I would not have scheduled an earlier appointment due to the fact that I was at work at that time. I informed her that I was told a different time (the time I had put in my calendar) and had repeated it to the woman I spoke to when scheduling, to confirm. The receptionist just reiterated that my appointment was earlier that day. The receptionist did say they could possibly fit me in if I was willing to wait, which I agreed to do. I gave her my insurance card and started to complete the necessary paperwork. While I filled out the forms, she started calling a male's name. Since there were two males in the waiting area with me, I assumed she was calling for one of them. Nope. She was reading the name on my insurance card which happened to be my husband's name. I realized what was happening and took my card back. I told her that was my husband's name, not my name. She made a comment stating that I didn't respond when she called my husband's name. He was not there with me and that is not my name so no, I didn't believe she was calling for me. In the meantime, a second woman came to the desk and began the task of verifying my insurance. She called me back to the desk after a few minutes and informed me that they do not accept my insurance. I left feeling very frustrated. Looking back there was another red flag about the whole fiasco. Usually a patient receives a phone call from the office or clinic to confirm the appointment. No one called me the day before to confirm my appointment. Not even for the time they claimed my appointment was scheduled. Very odd. While I totally understand that we are all human and everyone makes mistakes or errors, what disappointed me the most was how the receptionist handled the situation. It is a shame because while I've heard good things about the therapy staff, I would not consider going back, all because of that receptionist.

She brushed off my concerns and minimized it becuase I had migraines before. I came back to see her at day 7 and She took me off of my maxalt because according to her I shouldn't be on it (which my new neurologist from Stanford disagrees with). She told me to only use ibuprofen, which I told her doesn't work for me and never has but I will try since she said advil will probably give me rebound headaches. By day 12 I couldn't get into see her, I saw another Doctor Who was a saint and gave me the migraine cocktail shot in office because I was in so much pain I was just failing apart in her office. That dr, suggested if the pain didn't go away I may want to go into emergency because it may be something else. So day 13 and 14 I'm in the ER admitted overnight due to the pain because now the second cocktail shot has not worked to take away the pain, they try steroids, oxygen and then send me home the next day. When I came back stating, now the migraines had lasted for 16 at this point which had never happened before and nothing was working she finally takes what I'm saying seriously and listens when I say that these migraines are different and she starts me on Topamax. She down plays the side effects of Topamax and how slowly I wish to start them, she gets offended that I take the advice of the pharmacist to start slowly but once I explain again that I already am experiencing side effects with this drug and have read it is FDA approved to start this slowly she walks it back. When I asked her to refer me to Stanfords headache clinic, she said she would but never did. So I then had to reach out to my primary Dr. and ask him refer me. Simply put if you have no other option, she will do, but if possible avoid this Dr.Pazouki.

My doctor referred me for physical therapy at Golden Bear Physical Therapy and I am so grateful she did! As soon as I entered the office I was impressed with how friendly everyone was. There were two ladies at the front desk who were both helping other patients. One of the PT staff approached me and helped me start the paperwork as a new patient. Usually employees will "stay in their own lane", so I was pleasantly surprised by this. The PT who conducted my evaluation immediately diagnosed my injury as a rotator cuff injury which thankfully was not torn! He performed some manipulation of my shoulder and even though it was uncomfortable, after he finished I experienced so much relief. He gave me a set of exercises to do at home which I happily do twice per day. Each of my follow up visits have been efficient and effective. I have experienced so much progress and improvement in just four visits. I'm excited to see how far I will go with my progress! I cannot recommend Golden Bear highly enough. All of the employees I've encountered have been amazing. If you ever need PT services in the Turlock area, definitely give Golden Bear a try!

Receptionist answered…read morethe phone with a nasty attitude herself, partially because she was upset that I didn't have the info she wanted handy and had to place me on hold while I looked for the info. When she got back on the line she knew nothing about WC injuries as she couldn't understand what a "CT" injury is. I proceeded to inquire on their available providers. She placed me on hold and transferred me to their coordinator. Coordinator picked up the line, advised the reason for my call and she had the nerve to say they're not accepting injuries older than 6 months. Advised her mine is less than 6 months old and she said they're not accepting new patients at all. Asked her why I wasn't just told that from the beginning (because I knew they were trying to BS me at this point) and the coordinator said they're a small practice and won't accept my "horrible attitude". Crazy because for being a small practice you'd think they'd actually have customer service. Some food for thought for this white trash hole- maybe you should treat others the with the same attitude you want to be treated, and maybe try getting a receptionist who knows about what your office has to offer so that someone doesn't have to dumb it down for her??? As someone who works in a professional setting, I know how important it is for customer service to start with the person who picks up the phone. The receptionist and staff are not only uninformed. but have zero compassionate for potential patients. I wasn't even calling for myself and I couldn't imagine having my client call to ask for help. I would not want anyone to experience what I experienced on the other side of the phone. The people calling are patients with real medical needs that are already having a difficult time navigating the unfortunate hassle it takes to speak with Insurance companies and various doctors and all while dealing with painful injuries or conditions. I understand that sometimes it's easy to forget that we deal with people's real life situations but when you work in a professional setting you must always put your patients/customers/clients first. Romeo does not provide that type of care or support for existing or potential patients.
