"Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the…read moreimpossible." -Francis of Assisi Living Independence Network Company A.K.A. LINC is a local service agency that cares for people with disabilities, all levels, focusing on ability within their disability and helping them to be as independent as possible. My mother-in-law gets services through this agency and I help her with many of them. Linc is very helpful for families by learning available resources and support. This is the first review of the Boise, Idaho office. This is my 434th review. There are many different services that Linc provides and in three cities: Boise, Calwell, and Twin Falls. Some of the services they provide are: Advocacy: Call them if you're experiencing a problem in relation to how you live with your disability. Whether it's a landlord, employer, local business, and the such, Linc will help you by speaking on behalf of you, writing a letter for you, or acting for you. This is a very important part of social work and for people living with disabilities. Independence Living Services: The will help locate housing for you, train you to live independently: budgeting, renting an apartment, working with Health and Welfare and much more! Personal Care Services: They will help you hire, train, and pay employees to help you through the Medicaid program. Help can be cooking, cleaning, hygiene and other quality of life tasks. Transportation: They hell you apply for assistance with transportation such as medical taxi (Medicaid/Medicare pays), and discounted transportation such as taxi and bus passes. Medical equipment loans: That's right... if you need a wheelchair, power chair, crutches, CPAP machine, you can call Linc and they will help you with that. You can borrow these items for as long as you need. They also take donations of these items and many more if you ever hear about them or have some to discard. Lastly, The ramp and rail loan program. According to their website This program provides: Temporary loans of modular, portable, aluminum accessibility ramps for residences averaging 30-90 days. Only requires a fully-refundable deposit of $250 or $450, depending on size and configuration Ensures people with accessibility or mobility issues to maintain their independence and freedom. Even if you're having a family member come to visit that requires a ramp, you can borrow a rail free of charge, just put down the security deposit. Linc has been in the Treasure Valley for nearly 30 years. They have a vast amount of resources available and a database of other resources for yourself and your family. It's important to know what services are available out in the community. You never know who is going to need this knowledge. This review is going into a new "Community Resource" Yelp list which may help our community grow and overall help individuals help themselves move up Maslow's hierarchy toward self-actualization. As for my review-- I am going to post this same review on all three cities because it brings awareness and again, may help someone. The staff has always been friendly. I've dealt with the community nurse several times, they come to the participants home, and are always filled with both compassion and empathy. My brother in law is unable to walk long distances and his mobility scooter took a dump. He was unable to get a new mobility scooter due to lack of funding-- Linc provided him with a "loaner" which he can use for as long as he needs, and he once again has the independence and quality of life that we all deserve, thanks to Linc.

Todd Wilder (their Ramp Guru) has been on great support in getting me information on everything from Service Dogs to Scooters to Phone Apps that make the ph more accessible for visual & other impairments. I know they can also assist in work accommodations & housing accommodations- you need anything related to being Differently Abled- call LINC!

The Fred Meyer's on the corner of Franklin and Orchard is my home store. One of the things that I…read morelove about Fred Meyer's is they do a great job of bringing in new products, including some that are hard to find. A recent example is Ellenos aka "real Greek yogurt." In 2013, this small batch Greek yogurt began being sold at Seattle's Pike Place Market. It has a cult-like following and is normally not found outside of Washington and Oregon, which is why I was so excited to find it at my local Fred Meyer's. They are carrying the 5 original flavors, 4 of which are based on fresh fruit compotes. Ellenos also has two seasonal flavors, Pumpkin Pie and Key Lime Pie. The two most popular flavors are Marionberry and Lemon Curd. My personal favorite is Lemon Curd, made from homemade lemon curd. It's unlike anything I've ever had before. More dessert than virtuous breakfast. I'm also fond of the Passionfruit. But truly, I enjoy them all. If Ellenos does well in Idaho, perhaps Fred Meyer's will consider bringing their new Milk + Fruit line which is sweetened exclusively with the naturally occurring sugars in fruit and milk. It comes in four flavors: Cherry Vanilla, Pineapple Ginger, Fig & Raisin, and Apple Cinnamon.

I've always loved Fred Meyers, but ultimately I'd describe it as an uppity Walmart. It offers…read moreeverything, but typically at a higher cost. The produce is usually spectacular, and they have some great snacks and healthy options! The home decor is always cute, and you can find some good deals with the clothing. Definitely pop in!

Dear Albertsons Management, I am writing to express my…read moreconcern regarding the unprofessional behavior of your pharmacy's lead technician, Danielle. Each time I visit the pharmacy, Danielle is extremely rude and provides very poor customer service. She often talks and ignores customers waiting at the pickup window. There have been several occasions when she has walked past the line of waiting patients, seen us standing there, and turned away to continue talking instead of helping. When she does assist me, her behavior is disrespectful. She has waved her wrist around while saying "hello" in a mocking tone, and when I provide my date of birth, she sarcastically says, "What is this, some kind of cheer?" Additionally, she frequently yells at other staff members and displays a consistently negative attitude. This type of conduct creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment for both customers and employees. As the lead technician, Danielle should be setting a professional example, not discouraging patients from returning. Albertsons can and should do better in selecting and training its pharmacy leaders. Both customers and staff deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy. Thank you for taking the time to look into this matter. I hope appropriate action will be taken to ensure better service moving forward.

All the staff that I have interacted with have been pleasant and professional. I'm slowly trying to learn all of their names, but I can highly recommend working with Keyra, Colleen, Brittney, Malia, Ryan, and Sara. All of them have always offered me a bright smile, a friendly hello, and quick service.
