If you have been in a car accident - PLEASE BE AWARE THAT NORCO DOES NOT BILL CAR INSURANCE! We were told the car insurance will cover the expenses (wheel chair, etc). They did not tell us that they will NOT send a bill to car insurance, and they will NOT put information (claim #, date of injury, referring physician) on the invoice that would allow you to submit to the car insurance to be reimbursed. They requested all our car insurance information (3 times, in our case), and ot once informed us that they would not bill the car insurance. After about 2 months, I received the 1st bill from Norco. I called Norco billing and the billing representative stated that they do not bill 3rd party (car) insurance, but she would look into it. I agreed to put the balance on my credit card, requesting that I get a copy of the receipt which included the date of loss, insurance claim #, & prescribing doctor's name. The representative assured me that it would be done, and a copy of paid invoices would be emailed - she was pleasant, but I did not receive requested invoices. So, I left an email message on the Norco website, again stating what I had requested and what was required for us to be reimbursed by the car insurance company. I finally get the copies of the invoices in the mail - no requested information included. I called Norco billing on 4/17/26. The representative said that they do NOT bill 3rd party /car insurance and they cannot put the date of loss, etc on their bills. When I relayed that multiple other representatives had told me it could be done. The representative's response was "how is that our responsibility?". Upon returning rented equipment, I voiced my grievances and a supervisor came to intervene. He supplied us with the information we needed to be potentially reimbursed by our car insurance. It is emotionally difficult to deal with this incompetence when you are also dealing with severe medical trauma & multiple surgeries that will leave your child with some disabilities for the rest of her life. The collision was NOT our/her fault, but she is paying a tremendous physical & mental price. Either the "part owner" representatives are ignorant of their own company policies; or they are actively misleading their clients. I would request that NORCO representatives be informed and be upfront with their clients! read more

I called to get a broken cpap mask replaced immediately because I could not use my cpap machine. They said they would get back to me that day. Nothing from them. I had to sleep without using my cpap machine for 3 days straight. I still have not heard from them as of this writing. It is dangerous for me to sleep without using my cpap. I am 71 and have been using a cpap for 25 years. read more

I have been a C-Pap patient for this past year and have had nothing but problems when it comes to accurate information given or accurate supply orders processed since day one. When I began C-Pap therapy with them I was told that all supplies would be placed on "auto-ship" a nice service, but it doesn't exist unless you're receiving medicaid. Most of the supplies that have been needed have been shipped about 3-6months late, that is after the manufacturer and physician has stipulated those supplies being needed. It's a real joke, folks and, if you use NORCO, you need to have them on your calendar to get any kind of accurate servicing or shipping done. I'd go to their competitor, C-Pap Now, but, when I tried to move over I discovered they weren't any more on the ball than NORCO. Oh yes, I have no complaints about the products, just service and billing from NORCO. Good luck! read more

I bought a manual wheelchair from them that was custom and could fit through a standard doorway. The bearings went out on it. It has been over a month and a half and they still have not repaired it. I am an amputee and their "loner chair" will not fit through a doorway. I know they have already gotten approval from my insurance, yet here I am without a chair. My daughter had a significant surgery on her foot on 5/8. She was required 100% no weight bearing of the foot that was operated on. Her provider ordered crutches and a knee scooter. She has now been cleared for walking unassisted and never received the scooter. This week she received a past due notice for the crutches 7/10/23 with a $25 late fee. This was the first and only bill she received from Norco (it had a billing date of 6/25/23). Being that she is in graduate school (extremely busy) and unfamiliar with the appeals process she paid the bill in full. I'm wondering if we will get a bill for the knee scooter that she never received. Seems like a billing scam and lack of attention to detail on the orders the providers sent in. I was able to speak to customer service and have some questions addressed and potential areas of action. read more

Norco did not have what the doctor ordered, so no call from them to us or the doctor's office to get the order changed. Our family, traveling for the holidays with our dad who has moderate to severe COPD, faced a concerning situation with Norco. Despite ordering essential supplies for his portable oxygen tank two weeks prior to our trip, the items hadn't arrived. In a time-sensitive situation, my mom went to the Norco store in Meridian, ID, arriving at 5:01 pm. Unfortunately, the staff, two 'younger' women, ignored her at the locked door without expressing any concern or offering assistance, leaving us disappointed and frustrated, and without the supplies needed. it took over 3 weeks for the ordered supplies to arrive in the mail. read more

Norco's products are great. Their accounting is not. I was charged an extra month in error for a knee scooter I rented. I called and went into the store twice to discuss the error and was assured I would receive a call as soon as they resolved the issue, but never did receive a call. Then I got a past due bill and had to write a lengthy email explanation AGAIN describing their error. Finally, they agreed and reversed the bill. I was also told I would receive a discount on the rental if it was denied by insurance, which it was, but I did not receive any discount. It's too bad they're the only game in town. I don't look forward to ever needing to use their services again. I spent far too much time having to resolve this issue caused by their sloppy bookkeeping and unresponsive customer service. read more

Norco in Boise meridian is the worst outhouse for medical supplies available in the treasure valley. I have been with them for a year and a half boarding things like glucerna shakes that I have to have for my diabetes and for the last few months have been approved to order some shower bar handles so I don't fall. Of course Norco is always out of stock and has them on backorder. For an employee owned company you'd think they take some concern when it comes to their supply chain. They need to carry a few safety items in stock. The proper medical supplies can keep you out of the hospital and Norco seems intent on helping get you there. Today I offered to go to Walmart and pick them up for Norco as they were on sale for 8 bucks a piece of course they declined and will contact me again when they become available they would better serve the treasure valley in Halloween supplies rather than medical. However since they have moved to this new facility, things have improved immensely when there in person or by phone. I have compared experiences with other suppliers in other cities and Norco is the best I have dealt with. I was in need of exchanging my CPAP machine because the one I got about a month ago, the B3 Luna II would not work when connected to a 12 volt 500 watt converter that was connected to a 12 volt battery. I need one that will work while camping without electrical hookup. The therapist went to the back room and a few minutes later returned with a brand new Resmed Airsense 10 machine which is the same model I used prior to the B3 Luna II. We never had any problems running it while connected as described above. When we got home we tried this new machine and we are having no problems. The therapist noted that the one she brought out was the only one they had in stock so I got it in the nick of time. Thanks so much. read more

Very difficult to reach by phone. The first time I just waited on hold forever and finally gave up. I called as soon as they opened up the next day and the kid on the phone sounded very unprofessional and didn't really seem to know what he was doing. I was recently prescribed a CPAP machine through Norco. When I went to the appointment at Norco I was provided two options that were both fairly similar. During the meeting I asked several times how much it was going to cost. Each time I was told that there wasn't any way to give me a total up front. In hindsight this should have been a red flag. Now almost 3 months down the road and I owe $725 to Norco. I called 3 times and no one picked up the phone so I went in person. Turns out the machine is leased at $100 per month. I can break this lease and return the machine to avoid more charges, but I still have to pay the $725 including the lease and supplies they gave me. So in essence, I pay another $700 to finish the lease and keep the machine or I return the machine and lose $725 anyway. This seems incredibly wrong since I was never told how much I would end up paying. I simply trusted the representative when she said it "won't be that much". The kicker is that this companies motto is "Serving you better". Update: the manager of this location, Brent, called me today. He acknowledged that this process for billing is problematic and shared that Norco is working on a permanent solution. He agreed to help by crediting a portion of the money I owed. His response felt sincere and I appreciate the gesture. I'm updating my rating from 1 to 4 stars given the prompt response. read more

The service is mixed. Some of the staff are competent, professional, and friendly. Others do not answer their phones or are consistently unavailable when you call back, a minute later. Then they wait 24+ hours to return your call. When you call back, they are once again unavailable for another 24 hours. I was told that some people are working from home and that may be part of the problem. Ordering online seems great until you hit a snag. I now have spoken to 6 different people over 10 days and no one can figure out what happened to my order. It is not nuclear fission, or deciphering genetic code. It's just an order for three small items.And no one seems to know what to do, although several seem concerned and tried to help. And instead of music while you wait on hold, enjoy the overwrought two people touting the company's sincere commitment to help you through this terrible pandemic. Over and over and over. I started dealing with Norco about 45 years ago in down town Boise on River St. and always had good service. Recently we watched their new building going up in Meridian and could hardly wait for it to open, "Wow" convenient and good service coming our way. WELL BOY WAS I WRONG; in 45 years of dealing with Norco I have NEVER had such POOR SERVICE. Yesterday was the second time in the new facility for CPAP supplies. The first time I had to wait about 30 minutes for service because there were several name before me. Yesterday 2/14 about 3 pm I signed their wait list and the entire names above me were crossed off and only one person in with the service rep, great, I'm next. They finished and the customer left, however; so did the service rep. I keep waiting and he never returned. Another 45 minutes go, still no service rep available. I've got another appointment I need to keep. I finally had to go and ask one of the employees at the front for assistance. She got a gentleman from the back and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes after waiting over an hour for assistance. Shame on Norco the first time; shame on me the second time. I will be going to a different supplier in the future. This had to be the worst customer service I've ever had. I guess Norco has just gotten to big to manage properly. Norco is NOT the only supplier of medical or welding supplies in the area. read more

Now more often then not my order is wrong, late or didn't get ordered at all.They dont even have the courtesy of letting someone know when a order is running late or a tracking number so I can know where it's at. My brother, who has Down syndrome, was staying with me and we realized he forgot a piece from his C-pap machine. It was a Saturday so we were panicked we wouldn't be able to find a place open to get the part. His house, where the part was, was two hours away. He's terrified to sleep without it since he has severe sleep apnea. We called Norco and the after hours person directed us to Dave Williams. I had a large problem with customer service not doing follow up, not responding to calls! I needed a wheelchair and waited several days for a callback! I called to see the status of my prescription! No call backs! I finally wrote a negative review! I could not get through to anyone managers call line was message way out of date and No reply! After I sent in review Store manager called and I explained all. Thanks to him I got a call bright and early this morning!! They contacted Dr's Office and got that all worked out! I have been working with Norco for 19 years. I have noticed a continual lack of overall customer service in the last 5 years. There are too many to list out here. Phones are rarely answered by a person and on 3 separate occassions I never recieved a call back. read more

Both service and customer service has gotten very very bad. As other reviewers have mentioned, they never placed my order for three months. When I repeated had to call for 4 weeks and spent about 10-12 hours on the phone with them, they say documents are incorrect, expired, waiting on doctors chart notes and so on. Then they cut my calls in the middle of talking. Rude, uncaring , unprofessional, untrained, misinformed bunch of reps. Worst experience in the 7 years we have been using them. I am looking for a different company who wont stress me out so bad. This is not how people behave in Boise/ Meridian. We are supposed to be a caring people. What a bad thing to suffer in the middle of the pandemic and looking after the intensive needs patient. read more

The challenge is their process of greeting people and getting them through to being served. Usually no one at front desk to check you in. HOWEVER, once you do finally get to a customer service person, they are attentive, knowledgeable, and caring. It take a while to get with someone for help, but once you do, they give you their undivided attention. People who typically use NORCO are either caretakers or someone needing specialized service or items. Not the most robust healthy people so it is more stressful or physically difficult for them to wait. All I would suggest is for them to review their customer service process to make it easier to get to the good people who help you. read more

I had spoken to a man who didn't inform me they closed at 5pm. So when I went to get my sons very important medical device, I was I upset and worried we would just have to go to the E.R. for the night. I called the after hours and they could not have been more nice. They called me right away and sent someone to the store so I could meet them to pick it up.
