Ngl I blacklisted them and prob would've never gone back if they didn't reach out (I take time wasting p seriously since we are all so busy). Gave back 2 stars for the gesture. |[ e n v i r o n m e n t ]| It's a small lil lobby that has the salt room and the infrared saunas all in view. It was interesting and my first time in a salt room and wasn't sure what to expect. It was p calm and relaxing and the "salt particles" didn't bother me at all. The infrared sauna unit itself was as expected, I do wish it had more of a private area around it so you can come out when you get hot or get nekkid in it lol (like other places). |[ o v e r a l l ]| All in all enjoyed the experience though I felt the time allocated to both rooms (25min each) was too short. If I come again it would be more for the salt room vs the infrared sauna. Parking lot out front so can be full at times. If you make an appointment be sure to confirm they know about the appointment (the booking system did not notify them according to them for my specific incident last time). I suggested for them to add a working contact number people can call/text to confirm after they make the appointment to avoid situations like this in the future.

They have 3 infrared saunas, a salt room, and a small closet to store your items. The infrared sauna is a dry heat that's preset for your time and type of relaxation treatment. I did 45 minutes and it was the perfect amount of time. You have the option to change the light color and the timer shows when your time is up. You can also hook up your phone to the Bluetooth inside the booth for meditation music or listening to podcasts. The staff is so nice and walks you through everything before. Next time I want to try the salt room! Highly recommend booking this place.

I've tried a mix of classes and services -- from challenging Pilates to deeply relaxing yin sessions and sound baths -- and each one offers something a little different depending on what I need that day. I also love that the infrared sauna sessions are set up in your own private room, which makes the experience feel even more relaxing and personal. They also do a great job of creating a sense of community. From time to time, they host special weekend events with thoughtful touches like goodie bags and guest sponsors, which makes you feel really valued as a member. I've even joined one of their group hikes, which was such a fun way to connect outside the studio. They've also brought in guest instructors for things like dance and Zumba-style classes, which keeps things fresh and interesting. What really keeps me coming back is the overall experience. The space is always clean, calm, and beautifully maintained, and I love how easy it is to just show up -- mats, towels, and props are all provided. Parking in the back is also a huge plus, especially for LA. I've found myself telling friends about it and inviting them as my guests, which says a lot. It genuinely feels like a little wellness sanctuary, and I'm really glad I found this place.

My experience with Artha ended very poorly after several years of association with the facility…read more I received numerous promotional messages encouraging trial visits, so I attended both the West LA and Studio City locations to determine which classes and schedule worked best before committing to a long-term membership. This is a normal step for anyone evaluating a fitness or wellness membership. Later, management accused me of violating their policies simply for attending both locations and permanently revoked my access. The explanation provided was inconsistent with the promotional outreach they themselves sent encouraging trial participation. The situation escalated further when I accompanied a referred guest using a guest pass that had been given to me by another member. Instead of handling the matter professionally or discussing it in good faith, "Miguel" imposed a permanent ban and stated he would not correspond further. The lack of flexibility, unwillingness to review context, and overall tone from management was disappointing for a business that markets itself as a community-oriented wellness space. Potential members should carefully review all policies and be aware that enforcement may be strict and final regardless of circumstances.

A friend recommended the Sherman Oaks branch, so I emailed the manager ahead of time for therapist recommendations. First impression: if it's your first time here, finding the location can be confusing. There aren't any large Burke Williams signs, and I actually had to call the branch to confirm they were inside the mall area. Parking is also a bit of a walk, and signage could definitely be improved. For reference, they're located next to 24 Hour Fitness on the second floor, Building A. Once inside, though, the experience improved immediately. I was greeted right away by two friendly receptionists, and check-in was quick and easy. Since it was my first time at this location, I asked if someone could show me around -- honestly, that probably should've been offered proactively. The men's spa attendant gave me a tour, and the interior reminded me a lot of the West Hollywood location: darker, older, and more traditional in style. One thing another Yelper mentioned was absolutely true -- the place feels like a maze, especially since the massage rooms are upstairs on another level. My therapist, Giovanni, was great. He asked about my preferred pressure before the session started, although he didn't really check in during the massage itself. That said, he definitely has his own massage style, and overall I enjoyed the treatment. The men's spa area was surprisingly quiet, which made for a peaceful experience. The steam room wasn't quite hot enough for me, so I ended up spending more time in the sauna instead. Overall, I had a nice experience and would come back. Just a heads-up about parking: it's validated at a discounted rate, but if you stay longer, it can add up. Hollywood still has the best parking situation since it's free, while Woodland Hills offers a flat $3 rate.

The receptionist didn't ask if I'd been there before or if I needed any direction. Ok. I went through the door and wandered the hall for a moment when I was able to quietly catch someone. I told her I had no idea where to go or what to do. She kindly directed me to the locker room, found my locker, and brought a pair of slippers that fit. My masseuse met me outside the locker room and led me to the massage room. She asked me if there were areas that I'd like focused on. Yes. (A pinched nerve on the right side of my back and I love a head massage.) Great. I guess she forgot about the pinched nerve. So I waited through the fine 80 minute formulaic massage for her to work on the grand finale of my head. Two minutes. Yes a grand total of two minutes if I'm being generous. Thanks. Two stars because it could be worse. But no thanks. Not for this price. Go somewhere else.
