Never having been to Chewelah, we were worried about the quality available in a small town.

I am normally a Hilton girl but the closest one is in Spokane and I didn't want to do that drive. This was better than some of the Hiltons I have stayed in and the customer service you receive makes it worth your time. Rose is the owner and was a great host at this B&B. She will take care of you and make sure you have everything you need for your night. The bed was extremely comfortable with a feather top mattress. Bathrooms were clean and room was clean as well. Had a fridge in the room and your own coffee (you know, the normal stuff). Breakfast was a nice set of fruit, cereals, yogurts and breads. Excellent place to stay if you are in the area.

What a nice surprise for an area without many lodging options. Was skiing at 49 Degrees North and…read moredidn't want to book a hotel in Spokane and drive up. Saw the Mountain View Lodge listed on the ski areas web site and decided to give it a try. Great Location and Setting: 8 miles from the ski are meant a casual morning having breakfast and getting ready and still on the lifts by 9:00am. Located at the top end of a sloping pasture with great views out across the valley and surrounding mountains. Quiet, peaceful and the stars at night were amazing. While we were there for skiing this place would be great during any season of the year. Good Accommodations & Breakfast: I'm not a big fan of B&Bs and the Mountain View Lodge is more hotel with common great room than a traditional B&B. Stayed in the Canopy Room, nice, comfortable, roomy and nice view of the valley. I was concerned the Great Room might be the owner's living room and we'd feel like we were encroaching on their space but their living area is separated from the guest wing of the lodge and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect for what we wanted. Fresh fruit bowl with strawberries, kiwi and melon, yogurt, selection of breads and pastries, oatmeal, granola, cold cereals, juices and coffee. Put out in the Great Room in the morning in the fridge and on a cart for self-service at your convenience. Several bistro style tables mean guests can decide where and how to sit. Great Hosts: Rose was awesome both prior to and during our stay.

I've never done a review on acustomer service experiences good or bad but this encounter will not…read morebe chalked up to just another day at the Chewelah RV and Motel- there must be accountability. My grandfather lost almost everything including his life due to his Deer Lake home of more than 50 yrs catching fire just days before Christmas- his entire home burnt, which he built back in 1974, to the ground, GONE and this place treated him and my family as if he was a bedbug carrying, house hoping, transient, squatter... We had a reservation set up days in advance to prepare for check out of the Deer Lake Resort Condo January 27. "Management" would not allow him bring any belongings into the motel- which only consisted of 7 neatly packed totes carrying all the food and/or clothing donations brought to us just the fire while temporarily housed at Deer Lake Resort. While that seemed to be a bit unreasonable considering the circumstances but working very closly in the homeless community I get it.... now the approach I will never understand... out of pure desperation my aunt agreed and began placing the totes out of the snow storm but near room where she could reorganize by getting grandpas (some life saving) necessities (soaps; medications; catheter supplies; BP cuff etc.) in one tote, food in another then my uncle Bobby was coming for the others to store until we find him perm housing - Again, management refused to let my aunt access the room that she already paid for or even somewhere, anywhere dry to prioritize grandpas' belongings. At that point we were no longer welcome for not following the rules, we would be getting a refund, and they voiced concerns that we may vandalized the room- YEAH NO!!!.... My aunt leaves in tears and It took DAYS and a return visit before we ever got the money back. And for the record grandpa will not be left alone until we find him permanent housing if even then. My family and I work hard for everything we have; we pay our taxes and natives to this area- BORN AND RAISED!!- to be treated this way after all the blessings we've received from Stevens County and surrounding areas- UNREAL!!! How do they even stay in business? This isn't just a "woke up on the wrong side of the bed kinda of day" but clearly a behavior pattern when reading some other reviews out there. Don't they know that a thriving successful business is only as strong as their weakest link- CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS- FACT! Word-of-mouth and social media are key tools in marketing to promote your business and it spreads like wildfire- better believe I'm gonna use it today!! You will not last much longer with this behavior in today's world or our community!! Feel free to look up on GoFundMe "help BOB LEE REBUILD his life after tragic fire" to see grandpas' full story and all this community has done to help us through- No, not asking for donations we have been blessed beyond measures because of the Stevens County area - we will persevere through all the grief/loss, this horrible customer service experience, Covid and housing crisis- If anyone has information on who the actual owner of this establishment is please contact me ASAP- we were hung up on when attempting to gather this info at the actual site... You can start on Facebook or the NextDoor Neighbor App- someone needs to face the music!! BBB here we come!!

Being a bearded black American from Philadelphia, I prepared myself for the usual "small town" stares and rushed answered. Not all the time, but often. And let me tell you. This was a "not all the time" experience. We walked in the bright smiles, genuine eye contact and the smell or good food. I didn't catch the names but EVERYONE was helpful, kind and took the time to answer questions. A real sense of family. I see that some reviewers had bad experiences but I felt welcomed and appreciated. The rooms weren't state of the art but they were very clean, and comfortable with a fridge, microwave and plenty of hot water. Thank you again for the hospitality! I got to meet the owner and his wife who stay on property. They took the time to walk me through the cool lobby with all of the fish that the family had caught over time. They were explaining that they are updating several of their rooms currently. Didn't try out the pool but was surprised to see it indoor and huge. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly and worked their tails off to keep the room very clean. A small town inn that reminds me of a how welcoming people once were.
