If you're someone (like me) who gets a thrill from a great deal, this is the perfect place for you. They've got a great variety of items and inventory changes frequently. I've had a few times where an item ended up being $0.01 (yes, a penny!) because apparently it was on super-sale-clearance which they don't mark on the tag. Awesome. A few things to know: - Prices here run from very low to really, really high. Items range from average to high-end. Set a budget and identify what you are generally shopping for before you enter the store, or you'll walk out with the most gorgeous $400 (discounted from $750!) thing that you never knew you needed when you originally went in for some lipgloss... - Love their purse selection. And the shoes. And the dresses... - On the weekends or even on Fridays the line for the fitting rooms and the check out can get INSANE. Really, hours. Commit to coming on a weekday, preferably during working hours or right before closing when you can have the store to yourself. - For some reason, my husband never finds stuff here. I'm not sure if they have a more limited variety of men's stuff or if it's just not his style? - Their selection of beauty products is actually quite a steal. The store is on the 3rd floor of MOA, and I'd suggest starting here if you're looking for a specific item before moving on to other stores. (As someone who is at MOA more than I'd like to confess, I'd recommend starting here, doing a loop of the 3rd floor, and then work your way down to the 1st floor...) read more

I was pleased. I found a pair of shoes in my size, 16EEE. I have tried other Nordstroms but never had any luck. Although it is very self-service, I did manage to get help when needed. The shoes are holding up just fine. I find myself wearing them every day, even when I could go bare. :) They were reasonably priced too. I purchase the shoes on 4-26-2017 while on a business trip. BASED EXCLUSIVELY ON THE SHOE AND PURSE SECTION: The other day I went in looking into buying a bag. One of the women that was working asked me what kind of bag I was looking for, and I showed her the bag I came in to buy. Being a girl, though, I wanted to look around at the new styles, too. This woman followed me around and kept bothering me when I was looking at a specific bag. It got really annoying - because they get paid on commission and they do not want to lose a sale. On the other side - I have been eyeing a specific pair of Tory Burch Reva flats for a while. The reason I have not yet bought a pair is because every time I go in to look at them, the people that work their - because the TB section is in the more "expensive, prestigious" area of the shoe section - won't even give me the time of day. The only time someone there has ever talked to me was when I was wearing a pair of TB Revas and my LV bag. Just because sometimes I don't wear gaudy designer things does not mean that I will not buy something. read more

When I am on the hunt for a good deal, or shoes for my giant feet, I head here. I have to be in the mood to dig. I went yesterday and found some shoes and a sweater. When I got to the register, I noticed a hole in the sweater and told the cashier I didn't want it. It was right on the seam in the armpit. She told me I could take it back to the seamstress and they would fix it on the spot...FOR FREE! So I purchased and 5 minutes later walked out with the repaired garment. AWESOME! read more

Great deals on cool clothes but largely depends on when you visit. If you get there when a new shipment comes off the truck, great selection. If you get there when they've moved stuff to the clearance rack, great selection. If you get there most other times, be ready to scrounge and shuffle through racks. I love strolling around Nordstroms, especially the designer shoe salon that leaves me wishing I was independantly wealthy. Can't go wrong for cosmetics shopping here. If it's not too busy, they'll give you a makeover. I had one staff member spend an hour prettifying me, and all I really needed was a tube of mascara. But, when I was ready to replenish the makeup arsenal, I came back and sought out the same girl to give her my sale. (They get commission if you weren't aware.) Bra shopping was an interesting experience here. I'd had a feeling that I was mismeasured at Victoria's Secret a few months earlier, and so I was remeasured on my trip to Nordstroms and found that Vickie's had robbed me of a cup size. So the lady helping me became my hero at that moment and went about scouting different bras for me to try on. Here comes the interesting part... I had expected that she would just hand me the bras and let me do my thing, but apparently that is not the way things are done here. In a move coveted by many men, she deftly unhooked the bra I was wearing using one hand and slipped the new bra on. All before I had fully had a chance to register what had just happened. Then repeated the process for the remaining bras. I've never had someone literally assisting me with this sort of thing before, so I was a bit stunned. I don't know, maybe women of a certain income bracket insist on this level of service, even when it come down to your frilly underthings. But, that weird feeling faded quickly enough, the woman had given me back a cup size and managed to make me look 10 pounds lighter in the process, and really, what's not to like about that? read more

Overall, places like TJ Maxx have better deals, but I think Nordstrom's Rack is a sure bet if you're shopping for special occasion dresses, jewelry, or designer anything. It also has reliably excellent tag sales that clearance items on top of whatever the discount already is. As other Yelpers have noted, it definitely pays to shop at non-peak times - the store is more organized and you won't have to endure Disney length lines. read more

I'm a Rack regular and find high quality gems at great prices. Definitely missing the Nordstrom atmosphere, but I'm more than willing to sacrifice that for the heavy discounts. read more

Ok Gals, before I go into my ranting and raving you should know that I shop at Nordstrom before I shop anywhere else! I love the convenience and ease of shopping with all the great assistance one gets! While on a recent business trip to Minneapolis I decided I needed a quick reliable dinner. Something light yet healthy and of course with my busy schedule something fast that I could count on for consistency. I take the hotel's shuttle down to the Mall of America - not impressed and stroll down to Nordstrom's Cafe. The attendant was extremely nice and efficient - all was going as expected. Rey (waitor) came over and said Hi! and did his usual routine. As I'm waiting for my dinner a little girl (gorgeous may I say) across the room squeals - in a way that could only mean... there is a MOUSE running around in the opposite side of restaurant - MY SIDE. Not a cute little mouse as in Mickey Mouse at Disneyland but a slimey, quirky, out of place ANIMAL. The waitors acknowledged they had a "tenant" living in their dining room floor - they ignorantly reassured the mom and little gal across the way and myself that the mouse kept away from the kitchen - WHAT? So the mouse has self control - NOT REALLY!! Rey advised that he would let management know of the persistance of the mouse on living in the dining room and based on our conversations management was not working hard or quick enough to rid their patrons of this unhealthy sight! Do they know how hazardous these rodents can be? Completely dissapointing - was not offered a refund instead I was offered a doggie bag to go!! I left and WILL NEVER RETURN!! The manager refused to do the right thing and exchange my defective boxer with one boxer from the floor. In short, basically if you come in to exchange something defective, bring back everything to do it, even your dirty boxers. I came in 11 May '17 to exchange one of my boxers out of a pack of three. Since I wore two already, I thought I would just go in with the defective one and ask to swap it out with one from a pack in the store, and to prevent having to inspect the new ones in case a new one was defective. However after getting to the store, the clerk "La'Vette N." from the receipt had to ask the manager, whose name I don't remember, and the manager refused to do this. She said I had to go back home, bring them all back, and exchange the whole package. I asked her if that makes sense and what would be the right thing to do. She said the right thing to do is to swap the boxer so I can be on the way, however, she won't do whats right because it's against store policy and she would have to (cancel out?) the shelf pack. Anyway, I just bought a new pack and swapped the boxer myself, and returned the pack on the old receipt, the same effect but an extra hassle and annoyance because the manager was unwilling to do the right thing. In case the store cares, my receipt number was R0233490395760511172. I'm sure the clerk knows who the manager was. read more

I'm not sure what the big deal is about Nordstrom Rack. Most of the clothes don't actually come from a Nordstrom store, so you have to look for the specific racks that say from their store. A lot of their clothes seem old and they aren't that cheap. When compared to Macy's or Nordstrom when they have their sales, I think Rack can be more expensive. Rack needs to have extra percentage off sales to make it worth the trip. It's also usually pretty crowded and hard to find things. read more

very poor customer service had a neclace repaired and they had to send it in to david yurman it came back not fixed right twice they never checked it so it was for me to find out when i came to pick up each time. after contacting them 3 times over 10 days to complain to a manger about getting any kind of compenstion i finally get a call back and they say to bad. We can't put a value on your satisfaction or in other words we don't care too bad. if you search nordstrom complaints they have fell hard they are kmart with big prices I will never waste my time with them again. I love NR! The MOA store can be hit or miss, as some others have mentioned, but finding those few gems is worth sifting through the mountains of cheaper product. I scored a Hickey Freeman Mainline suit for $500, and it fits me like a glove. Paying retail is for suckers and when in doubt I always swing by NR. read more

Wanted to add a correction - Nordstrom MOA employees DO work on a commission plan, but not straight commission. They go through training in not only their departments, but other departments as needed and promotion takes place from within. There is a fair amount of competition within departments and between departments, but if you're able to handle that with dignity it's a wonderful place to work. read more
