I have lived in Norfolk for the past 5 years and the last several times I have called to place an order, the male employees have been shockingly rude. I called tonight, and before I could even utter my order, the employee was demanding in a very rude tone what I would like. I ordered a cheeseburger. He demanded, what size, WHAT SIZE, getting louder and angrier. I assumed he was asking how many patties, so I said single, and he screamed, SMALL OR LARGE???! When do burgers come on small or large? I hung up on him. I am not putting up with that. Never have I experienced anything like that from a small business. Unfortunately, I have been met with similar poor customer service experiences multiple times here. It's like you are annoying them by giving them your business. Also known as "Nicks Pizza" in Norfolk. Nick is a great guy and has been located in Norfolk for years. Service and the quality at Nick's is what makes it special. The smell when you walk through the doors is awesome. What is good here: Pepperoni calzone's, calzones in general, pepper pizza, pizza in general, chicken finger dinner, chicken wing dinner, fries, cheese fries, spicy fries, salads. I will say that the company I work for was working overtime with all the recent snow removal from the Blizzard Juno. Our secretary ordered two orders of buffalo tenders 2 orders of jalapeno poppers and 5 pizzas all various types 2 pepperoni, 1 buffalo chicken and 2 cheese. We got 2 orders of buffalo wings (not the boneless tenders as ordered) jalapeno poppers were fine and got 3 cheese pizzas and 2 pepperoni. But were still charged for the more expensive buffalo chicken pizza. She called when she got back to the office and was promptly told it was her fault for not looking at the stuff in the shop. hence this poor rating for Nicks pizza. If you live in Norfolk there's nothing easier than ordering from these guys. All sorts of subs, pizzas and pasta entrees to choose from. Not the best quality, but the prices are ok, and you don't have to wait long. If you order the BBQ chicken pizza, you'll get cut up chicken tenders on a cheese pizza with BBQ sauce drizzled over it. Doesn't look like much when you walk in. Small shop. Don't know if they're the owners or just workers but they have a lot of attitude. They messed up my order and got upset with me when asked for them to fix it. They also for got the slice that I asked for and then gave me a cold one. When I sent it back they stared me down afterwards and then had the audacity to ask if I paid for the slice when I clearly handed him the money earlier when I ordered. Overall bad customer service. Food wise, this restaurant is what you'd expect from a greek style pizza place - just "okay". I live in Norfolk and this place is the only spot in town so I still go there reluctantly when feeling very hungry and don't feel like driving out of my way to another place. Here is why I will drive 10 miles out of my way to go somewhere else - The SERVICE. When I call to place an order, the guy on the other end of the line treats your call like you're an IRS agent. They sound genuinely angry, and annoyed that you are giving them your buisness. When you pick up your order and hand them a credit card, the guy becomes agitated, shaking his head and loudly sighing. This is the first restaurant review I have ever written. I am always an easy to please customer, but the rudeness of the staff (the owner I believe) is something I've never seen before. They are the only place in town and they know it. I wish a new restaurant would open nearby, so it would force them to treat their customers with respect, and show an inkling of appreciation for your buisness. read more

My favorite lunch joint! Sandwiches are pretty decent. Exactly what you want from a local pizza place when you have a hankering for a Meatball sub. Pizza is very good for Greek style pizza...I grew up in CT so I was spoiled with New Haven style thin-crust pizza which apparently is unheard of in MA or RI. Salads are my absolute favorite here. The chicken in the chicken salads is always cooked perfectly. Make sure to eat the salad quickly though as the heat from the freshly grilled chicken will wilt the salad if left out for 20 or so minutes. Place gets busy around noon, so be prepared for waiting an extra 5 minutes or so just to place the order. Best to call everything in. Its a great mom and pop joint! read more

I've only ever ordered their small pizzas, but every single time they are cooked right to my taste buds. The crust is a perfect crunch and for a girl who never seems to eat her crust, I find myself eating the crust here. The people are extremely nice and a great local little pizza stop... definitely my number 1 place to go if I need dinner in a pinch or I just want a pizza... the BBQ chicken pizza is my favorite! The pizzas are OK but anything else on the menu I've ordered such as subs and wraps have been very disappointing. Making this about a 3 star rating. The last two stars are for the horrendous service. Very good Greek style pizza, very consistent and dependable in quality. Lot's of ingredient choices. You can get anchovies, which I mention because I'm noticing a lot of pizza places don't offer anchovies anymore, which I think is criminal. The service is excellent, always very fast, even at the busiest of times. It's a family owned business and they work like maniacs. I once placed a phone order for a buffalo chicken pizza at the request of my teenage son, not knowing this is not on their menu. They took the order without question and it was really, really good. They should put it on the menu. We order it frequently now. They mistakenly gave us a barbecue chicken pizza instead, just once, it was not so good, otherwise I never got a pizza that wasn't very good there. I like the Mexican pizza, it's spicy and a nice change from the usual, in case you're eating pizza a lot and want to try something different. My favorite is the marinated chicken pizza, I'm impressed every time with how generous they are with the chicken, and how it stays flavorful and juicy after baking on the pie. The crust is crispy and light, I like it chewier but my kids think it's the best. In general, I much prefer Italian style to Greek pizza, and there are places I can get really excellent Italian pies in Walpole, but I pay a lot more for it, and when I have to buy three pizzas and a sub to make everyone in the family happy, this is where I usually come, because I save a lot of money. The subs and cal zones are very good too. My review is for take out, which I guess is 80% of their business. There are a few tables you can sit at if you want to eat in, but they are usually occupied by people waiting for their take out orders, or kids in their sport teams uniforms celebrating after a game. It's a pretty small place, and the tv is a little black and white job propped up on the soda cooler and pointed at an angle so the staff can see it. read more

This is a great place to get food fast. I have made it my family joint. It may not have the greatest ambience but those folks are nice and quite friendly. The food is very decent.
