Teriyaki Bento Box

The food is delicious and flavorful. The service is wonderful. The ambiance is a mall food court.

Just rice and a couple bites of meat.
Mark H.

Don't waste your money here, you're seriously paying for rice. Where's the meat? worse place, girl at the register was rude.

Chicken teriyaki.
Jessica K.

I asked the girl if they do mall discounts. As an employee of a retail store in the mall. She said yes, but I have to show my badge. We don't use badges. She wouldn't give me the discount because I don't have badge, which my store does not use. She then told me I was only allowed to use the mall discount if I'm working that day. Umm. Why do you think I'm not? Completely rude, completely useless. Also. Still confused as to why their fried rice is orange? In all my years of living, I have never seen orange fried rice.

I should stop getting my hopes up for the food to look like it's picture. It definitely taste as bland as it looks.

Shreds of chicken...over cooked and crispy

Teriyaki chicken here is inconsistent and flavor is lacking. I do not feel the food is worth the cost here. I had shreds of chicken (scraps), while my friend had full pieces of chicken. Plus, we didn't realize that they charged us for the pricier tempura udon instead of the vegetarian udon we ordered until we were almost done picking at our meal and found the little baggie of shrimp tempura they set to the side. I do not recommend eating here, just a waste of money.

This is NOT tempura from the bento platter! It's panko breaded style frozen shrimp and sweet potatoes!

A MAN'S MAN Review of Nori Japan Whoa! Let me say that this is probably the worst place to get a bento box! After today's experience I wouldn't even recommend any of the other items on the menu! Don't let the pretty flat screen TVs displaying the item menus and pictures of the food you think you'll get fool you! It's a trap! Ordered the bento box with large drink. Total... $16 What comes with the bento box? Teriyaki chicken on steamed white rice, salad with dressing, California roll (4pcs), pickled ginger, wasabi paste, shrimp tempura (2pcs), sweet potato tempura (2pcs), and 1 packet of soy sauce. Now... what I really got! Decent but at the bottom scale factor teriyaki chicken on steamed white rice, salad with unknown white dressing (wasn't even sure if it was ranch), California rolls that wasn't fresh, pickled ginger, runny & watered down wasabi sauce, from the frozen section of what was probably from Grocery Outlet breaded style panko crumb shrimp that is no where near a tempura batter (2pcs), breaded panko style sweet potato (2pcs), and 1 packet of soy sauce. See photos below! Now, the only thing that tasted good was the extra napkins that was given to me. The teriyaki chicken was okay but not something that I would recommend. The salad was fresh but the white sauce that was put on top of it was salty and I hope it was ranch dressing. I only took one stab at it and that was the end of that. California rolls... ain't no way you can mess up a California roll! If it was anything else it would have been the death of me and my stomach! I'm surprised that I'm still alive after eating one piece! The wasabi sauce looked watered down... it was a sad view! Now to the tempura... I honestly said "WTF" to myself at least 20 times! The sh*t I got was not tempura! It was breaded panko style frozen shrimp from the freezer aisle from Grocery Outlet! Same with the sweet potato tempura! I didn't even know you could get panko style sweet potatoes! I just couldn't do it... I didn't feel like playing around with death so I tossed the entire bento platter. It was no wonder I got a sh*tty meal! They had the "D Squad" on deck! Two sweaty looking old Korean dudes that probably DGAF... I guess the bento platter was good for this other dude because homeboy was throwing down on it like he DGAF! I wouldn't bothering giving this place a try if you value your life and your money. This place gets a thumbs down!

Chicken Teriyaki

Didn't really read the reviews until I ordered my Chicken Teriyaki and checked in on Yelp. If I did, I might have gotten lunch during my shopping break somewhere else. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't something I'd order again. They did give a lot of rice, and that may have been the best thing, because the rice actually had good texture the way I like it, not mushy. The teriyaki chicken didn't have a good teriyaki flavor, and they weren't so generous with the side of veggies. And the service wasn't the friendliest. But I was starving from my shopping, and I ate almost all of it pretty quick.

I wouldn't even dare my worse enemies to eat this

It's call Nori Japan* Let me start by saying how terrible the food is And the service is just unreal... Not in a good way. They look miserable... Are they okay? I don't know But I am just so disappointed about everything This is a true Shitty Teriyaki Nothing is fresh And the salad is just pure shit The Coca-Cola which will cost you 50 cent to refill tasted like jizz

I don't know how this nasty place is still in business after reading all their reviews. I was served disgusting old food at 5:25PM that looked and tasted like it was left over from noon lunch hour. I went back to ask for fresh food and they gave me more old food I would not dare to eat for free. Also, I specifically asked if they had a shrimp only soup and was told 'yes' but I was served seafood soup instead. I went back and asked for a manager was told there was none available. I then asked for a refund and was declined. So I disputed the charge w my citi card and they refunded my money immediately!

We ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, Spicy Negi Ramen (level 4 hot), an order of Gyoza, and an appetizer order of Karaage Chicken. Both of our Ramen bowls were absolutely delicious!! I'm used to eating very authentic Ramen when I lived in San Diego so this was a first for being in this area. It was a great portion size, beautiful presentation and everything tasted so good. I think the egg could've been cooked a little bit less so it would be not so well done so to speak, but it was delicious still. Also, the chicken appetizer was a good, but not as flavorful as some Karaage Chicken I have had. I probably wouldn't order that one again even though it was good, just lacked flavor and was a bit grisly. The service was outstanding. They are very kind and very attentive. The place is very clean. The bathrooms are nicely stocked and very clean as well. The lobby is beautiful and we will definitely be back!

The ramen tasted great but not impressive or memorable enough for me to drive all the way back to Federal Way. I dined in solo and actually didn't finish the ramen or even remember exactly what I ordered. I'm guessing it's the spicy negi. The broth was spicy and enjoyable but definitely didn't taste any different compared to other ramen places I've been to. I tend to eat slow to savor my food, but I felt like the staff was overattentive and frequently stopped by my table to ask if everything was okay. Gave me the vibe that they needed to keep themselves busy or I was taking up a table. Might be great for other customers but it affected my experience with dining in; I usually finish my meals at restaurants but I felt rushed so I just ended up bringing the ramen home for my son, after the second or third time of them asking me if I wanted a takeout box. I'm still giving 4 stars just because the ramen tasted better than mediocre, less than spectacular. I just have high expectations for ramen and prefer more broth/topping variety (I was raised in Cali with options i dearly miss). Plus, I do like that they added a full egg for the ramen (instead of half an egg, like other restaurants I've been to) and the chasu portions were fair. I haven't tried any other ramen places in Federal Way (if there are any), but I guess if this is one of the better options (according to Yelp), it might be worth a shot to try out?

Price Point - There are several meat options served here that are very expensive but we tried it all. My personal favorites were the Spicy Pork Cutlet, the Salmon and Rice Bowl, and the wagyu sirloin skewers. Being from Missouri I knew that the prices would be a bit more than what I was used to but it really wasn't that significant. For 4 people who ordered a little bit of everything, we spent 140$ That's three appetizers, 2 sides, and 5 main dishes. For special occasions, celebrations, corporate dinners, this place seems like a great option. Now, in regard to the portion sizes. Pretty simple explanation, they do feel a bit small. Lastly, do they have options for children? I would say no but that depends on what kind of food your kids eat Hahha. This is more of an adult restaurant not particular organized for kids meals. Overall, I definitely recommend everyone check this place out. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We lived the experience and would definitely come back if we find ourselves in town again.

The place is very small which makes sense since he only serve 1 group at a time. This might be my personal opinion but Because it's only one group, I hoped it would have been a little more interactive, like the chef could have explained his technique and skills while we were waiting or at least let us see what he was doing. We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend
