Was craving some sushi, so came up to Feddy to get some. Like most restaurants in Feddy, the location is at a strip mall. Parking can be interesting depending on what time you go. Once inside, they have booths, table, and sushi bar seating. Our party was of 4 so we opted for the booth. We ordered a few items from the Happy Hour menu (which is from 11:30 am - 4 pm, but note weekends and holidays are excluded.) The order included the Hwae-dupbop (which is sorta similar to bibimbop, but instead of meat its cubed sushi pieces ,usually salmon, tuna, and a white fish with roe and hellllaa chopped fresh veggies). I felt like the portion is huge, so I'd recommend eating it out of a separate bowl and mixing it there instead of the big now they give you. Especially since its fresh veggies and no one likes soggy veggies! The fish and veggies were fresh too so it def made it better! The Happy Hour Bento is pretty legit since youre able to get a variety of things, but they all come with chicken teriyaki and then you can choose one more protein from the list. We got the grilled salmon which was decent. Also ordered the Happy Hour 6 pidce sashimi combo with the spicy tuna roll. The sashimi here is thickkk cut. Im personally not a fan when its thick, but the fish was fresh. The spicy tuna roll was your basic roll, nothing fancy. The tonkatsu was tender and crunchy, so it was pretty decent too! I don't know if it just me but the fish feel dry as I eat it. It my first time trying fish katsu though. Miso soup made really good it pair well with my food. The food has great flavor though can't lie about that. A bit disappointed on the take out. Did not check my food til I got home and notice I was missing some of the food as said on the description. I can't speak to the ambiance, as we ordered through Uber Eats. However, I appreciate the care and service of how our ordered was packed! The hot and cold items were bagged separately. They included soy, wasabi and pickled ginger. They even added little cups to mix the soy and wasabi! I had a hankering for the monkey brain appetizer a local spot made years ago, several owners ago. I did a google search and Nami sushi came up, since baby sitting grandkids I was tickled pink to see they were associated with Uber. I had this spot bookmarked for the longest time since they first opened. I made a takeout order a while back of their lunch chirashi which was filling and everything tasted fresh. More recently, my boyfriend and I decided to stop by during their happy hour as he had went to Nami Sushi without me. As we entered, there was one other table occupied and we were greeted politely by a waitress/cashier who directed us to the next available booth. We were given glasses of water and menus to browse but I saw that we weren't given a happy hour menu (we arrived around 4:30). I inquired about the happy hour menu and she apologized before getting it and bringing it back to us. After browsing, we went with two bentos and a creamy scallop roll as well as hot tea. I love how spacious the restaurant was and the interior felt so intimate and luxurious despite how it looks outside and where they are located. They definitely can accommodate parties of all sizes. The bathroom was also very clean and felt upscale with a gorgeous sink. The choices of bowls, dishes, and cups are also very fancy and not the traditional or cheap ones you find elsewhere. You can tell that they truly do care about presentation and providing an experience here. Once the orders were placed, we received our miso soup quickly. I was disappointed by the lack of green onions and tofu though. There were very small pieces, like maybe three that I got in mine. I prefer them to be slightly bigger and cubed. The hot tea was very comforting as it was a very windy day but the tea was piping hot, but not enough to scald your lips or tongue. We then got our salads and creamy scallop roll which was satisfying. The creamy scallop roll in particular was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, we got our bentos as I was impressed with the portion size and variety of the bento. It's a solid deal for $20. The teriyaki sauce was fantastic on tender chicken, the salmon was cooked to perfection, the nigiri slices were perfect and fresh on the right amount of rice, and the fried gyoza and shrimp tempura was crispy and tasty. We saw our waitress deliver a take out order to someone outside and she saw our fur babies and gave them a little wave. When I thanked our waitress for saying hi to our dogs, she told us that they were very well behaved and cute which warmed our hearts. We look forward to coming back! read more

This review is late and I apology for that, but our family absolutely loved Nami Sushi! We went for my birthday and ordered everything from nigiri to salmon teriyaki. The fish was sooo fresh and melted in my mouth. I ordered mackerel, salmon, and tuna nigiri. Just delicious. I even got tekka maki and it was outstanding. Our server was so patient and had a great suggestion of soju that was also delicious. After our meal, our server gave us a complimentary macaron ice cream sundae and omg, it was decadent and yummy. My absolute favorite sushi spot in Federal Way! The place is always spotless, the cleanliness is truly above and beyond and the service is always on point. The food? Out of this world. The fish is super fresh, the sushi pieces are perfectly sized (not oversized), and many rolls come with 10 pieces, just ideal. What a nice spot!! The aesthetics to the place are so attractive. We walked thru automatic sliding entrance doors to a nicely lit seating area. The ceiling decor was such a nice touch!! We are seated immediately and provided with water and hot tea. The dishwater is so pretty too. May I say the water had a lemony flavor without the lemon. I like that kind of thing. Subtle. Once we ordered, talk about RAPIDLY coming out, a couple dishes at a time. We started with shishito peppers and monkey brain (avocado stuffed with yummy goodness). Shortly after, we get our nigiri orders (6 pieces, blue fin tuna, kanpachi aka Hawaiian amber jack, and ikura aka salmon roe). We ordered 2 rolls, the Mercer island roll and creamy scallop roll. Lastly, ended with scallop nigiri. Okay so the salmon roe is a bit salty and fishy for my taste but everything else was amazing. Both rolls were so smooth, rich and flavorful!! Their prompt service and presentation of the food was great. Their ginger was free of pink dye and nice and crisp. I love me some ginger!! I'm always looking for new sushi spots. We started with complimentary edamame and miso soup, which was a nice touch. I ordered the agedashi tofu even though I'm not usually a tofu fan and it surprised me! It was lightly breaded, crunchy on the outside, warm on the inside, and served in a lovely broth. We also had the grilled Saba (salted mackerel), and oh my God... it was incredible. So fresh and flavorful that I'll be thinking about it forever. An absolute must-try. I also had the mayo mussel, which was really good as well. For rolls, I tried the Mariners roll and really appreciated that the slices were thin and not overloaded with rice you definitely get your money's worth here. My friend ordered the Lion King and Dragon rolls, and both were delicious. We shared the nigiri omakase, too. I'm not big on raw fish, so they lightly torched it for us, which I loved. My favorite was the red snapper, though all the fish was excellent. I mainly ordered it because I wanted to try sea urchin; that ended up being the only thing I didn't care for, but that was purely personal preference not a quality issue. Customer service was great, pricing was very fair, and I even got some sake. Our total came to $202 for all that fresh, delicious food, and it was absolutely worth it. The person I came with ordered the double crunch roll and said it "should've been called a single crunch roll instead" since the outside was crunchy but the inside was soft and mushy (and he was expecting it to be crunchy because of the tempura, which i think absorbed a lot of moisture of everything else around it). He didn't really enjoy the roll and didn't finish it, he also said he didn't like how much sauce was on it because it overwhelmed the rest of the roll in flavor and spiciness. The service was also great and surprisingly fast! Our food came out pretty quick after placing our order. Definitely one of the better sushi places in the south end, though found it to be a bit pricey for the amount of food we ordered. My favorite was the dynamite roll and the calamari tempura. The fish quality: It won't taste like the sea, but it's clean and delicious. Slices are thick, and meaty. We had ordered a side of sweet shrimp sashimi and surprised by a serving of fried shrimp heads. Per the waitress, the kitchen doesn't waste anything, and fried the shrimp heads separately for us to eat instead of being trashed, and the bodies were served on our sashimi plate. My sisters, dad and I had a family lunch and we loved everything we ordered. The roll that stole my heart as my new fav roll is the Citrus Salmon Roll. The roll has a thin slice of lemon that hits you on your sour tangy taste buds and it was so refreshing! I'm going to order that again! I had the hamachi kama which, great app everytime and the options for nigiri and searing my nigiri is one of the best ways I love to eat it. My son had a hard time biting thru the pieces. I had 2 salmon nigiri, 2 hamachi nigiri and a citrus salmon roll. Everything totalled to ~$57 and after tip it ended up as a regrettable lunch spot.
