Beautiful course in a nice quiet community. Staff is courteous and efficient. This is a great facility from top to bottom.

Course was in great shape. Friendly staff. We played 18 in about 3 hours 15 minutes. It was a Thursday morning start time just before 9am and we really didn't wait to hit until about the 15th hole. The cart sends you a note to order food at the turn and it was quick and easy to pop in and pick it up before heading to the 10th tee box. Had no issues with any tee boxes, fairways or greens. Playing from the white tees it's not really a hard course. Usually a hazard only on one side to avoid. A couple longer par threes but they also have some short 315-350 par fours that you can have a chance at low numbers. The price is fair for what you get. It might get slower on the weekend with more golfers. The parking lot seemed to be about half full. I'll be going back during the week to get in a few more rounds while I'm SOBE. read more

I DO DECLARE, this place feels like the Old South. The Normandy Shores Golf Club first opened in 1941, and it still has a certain white-pillared elegance. It was very recently and beautifully renovated and is now serving Sunday brunch from 11 to 2. This review is for the brunch only and not for the golf course itself. The service at the club is stately and superb. We were welcomed right away and invited to choose our own table. We found a perfect spot on the patio overlooking the 9th hole. I can't think of a nicer place to relax on a sunny February afternoon. The sky was sapphire and the greens were emerald. The food selection, however, leaves a lot to be desired. There is no carving station, and the only seafood available was lox. Another glaring omission was green salad. There were only four hot items on the buffet: frittata, potatoes, sausage, and bacon. The frittata was superfluous because the highlight of the brunch is the omelet station. I had a made-to-order veggie and cheese omelet which was fantastic. I would have liked some salad and some roast veggies to go with the potatoes, but as I mentioned, there weren't any. My companion made himself content with eggs and generous helpings of sausage and bacon. The brunch costs $28.50/person and they offer $3 Absolut Bloody Mary's on Sundays. read more

Played here on December 16, 2014 and this is one of the best golf courses in Florida. Fairways were in mostly very good condition except for a few areas near water hazards, which technically wouldn't be fairways anyway. Greens are spectacular! Large, hard and fast rolling, there is really no 2nd cut so landings just off the green can still be putt. Pin placement, however, was nothing less than cruel and sadistic. Cups on the bottom of shelves and on the perimeters of greens, they were almost impossible to hit. Asking the bag boys after our round, we were told that there is an amateur tour taking place within a week so the placement is in preparation for that. Good luck, boys, is all I can say! The food in the lounge was nothing less than first-class quality for sports bar prices. You wouldn't expect to find food this good in the grill of a public golf course. Simply amazing! I can't wait to play this course again! read more

This is one of my favorite courses and incidentally I've shot some of my lowest scores here. I'm an 18 handicap, play from the blue and the holes are very manageable. Greens are a bit quick in the afternoon. Good amount of par 4's and not too many hazards. Most of the holes have pretty straight fairways. Also not very crowded on a Sunday afternoon so my foursome wasn't rushed by anyone behind. read more

A very friendly and helpful staff. Course was is great shape, played late June 2017. I am from northeast so Bermuda grass is something I don't have a ton of experience with, but easy enough to manage. Greens roll smooth, not fast, understand this is a subjective thing. I felt they are very fair greens for a recreational golfer. I played on Tuesday so no beverage cart, but that's not their fault. My only knock on the course is the rental clubs. They were older RBZ, totally playable, but when I play on vacation I find the clubs are new, this was first time I had older clubs, my daughter's sand wedge grip was totally shot, we wound up sharing the men's SW. Don't let that last comment dissuade you, it is a fun course and you will have a good day out there! read more

I learned to play at Normandy and it was always a fun course, not too hard, decently taken care of and priced like a municipal course should be priced. Normandy took a five year hiatus to renovate and came back three times more expensive ($125 for non Miami Beach residents, half that for the lucky residents) as well as an undeserved attitude. Don't get me wrong - this is a decent course - but for that price I'd expect the course to be far better taken care of, without weed patches and bald spots on nearly every green. Midway through our 7th hole one of the employees rode out to tell us the foursome behind us complained that we were going too slowly, which was an outright lie since we knew the foursome, they were nowhere near us, and we later found out that Normandy was hosting a tournament and just wanted to get us out of there. So poor maintenance, dishonest staff, and a really expensive price tag...I'm sad to say that Normany just isn't what it once was. And that's a damn shame. read more

Great layout but even with no rain still a muddy mess. David, emerald, and jacaranda all better courses for the money... On top of which my brand new $300 club that was found and turned in disappeared and nobody seemed to really care. Goat track with sticky finger employees. read more

Hidden jewel! This place has the best putting greens in South Florida. I really enjoy the back 9 holes. They have reasonable fees, especially if you live in Miami Beach. They have some great pros that don't charge as much as the other places. The service is always top shelf! read more

Normandy is a lil gem of a golf course in Miami. The layout is fun, the greens are well maintained and the staff is friendly. The greens are the most challenging part of this course. My one complaint is how busy the course is, or at least feels. There isn't much land on the island to work with so the holes are narrow and on top of each other. We were criss-crossing with golfers on other holes and having to wait for people who hit on our fairway (and let's be honest, visa versa) all too often. Overall though, I enjoyed playing at Normandy and would definitely play there again. It's on the premier card so a great summer deal. read more

Great course- best greens I have ever played- careful though- hard and fast- prices reasonable - club house great food! Staff friendly- locker rooms need to be maintained a little better- but they got the job done. It was a nice day of golf getting to know my daughters boyfriend a little better- When visiting my daughter in Miami- may play again! read more

An excellent, well-kept course. Greens are tough and in excellent shape. Carts are electric. Bunkers have new sand and are in excellent condition. Reasonably priced and convenient to south beach. Holes vary in length and difficulty. Very challenging course but fair. read more

Way overpriced for a very mediocre course and TERRIBLE and unfriendly service. I went straight from the airport to meet friends for the back 9. They were unwilling to give me a discounted rate from the absurd 18-hole rate even though I was only able to play the back 9. They also charged me the full amount for the rental clubs (more on this later). When I got to the starter, he refused to give me my own cart to meet my friends on the course (even though the greens fee I paid was supposed to include a cart). He insisted there was an extra seat for me in the group (which I questioned since they were only a group of 2 sharing 1 cart, yet he obnoxiously told me to trust him). When I was shuttled out there, we of course discovered there was no extra seat and set of clubs already out there so we had to shuttle back to the starter. The starter reluctantly and unapolagetically gave me my own cart and set of rental clubs, and insisted the mistake was not his. After this, I drove my cart out to meet my friends (after additional 2 hole delay) to discover that the right handed golf set came with a left handed putter. The course was ok, but was just an average public course in mediocre shape. The clubhouse eventually reimbursed me for the clubs, but it still cost me over $150 for 9 mediocre holes (not including overpriced $8 beers on the course). read more
