Took reservation and when we showed up they did not allow the wives to accompany the group and then said if the blouses did not have collars they were unable to be on the golf course. Completely rude. Customer service skills were lacking no empathy whatsoever. Completely disappointed in a normally pleasant venue. To top it all of they told us we could buy a shirt in the pro shop while in the blazing heat.

I have played aproximately 2 dozen florida courses and this course is probably in the top 5 worst condition while being the top 5 most expensive I have played. I get that there is history here but the fairways and greens on the front were absolutely terrible with #1 lined with a chain link fence. The back nine was better but still did not justify the rate. As a resident of Sarasota I booked the South Florida rate of $112. When I got there, I was told I could not have the South Florida rate and they charged me $300 for green fee and rental clubs. Then had to pay $8 for a small bucket of range balls. Definitely got robbed on this one. I have played better Muni courses.

Great traditional style layout golf course, maintained in very well, great short game area and range for practicing.

Water and sand every where and small strips of grass. We where there in driving rain and only a few weeks before the tour as grand stand etc was being put up! It looks hard on tv and it's even harder in real life. Expensive but done top notch my only knock on the facilities is the range. Hitting of matts just isn't my thing at 450.00 a round The 18-hole "Blue Monster" course at the Trump National Doral Golf Club facility in Miami, Florida features 7,450 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 74.5 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Raymond Floyd/Jerry Pate/Greg Norman/(R) Gil Hanse, the Blue Monster golf course opened in 2013

The staff at Trump International makes sure you are well taken care of. TIP: Ice machines and cold water at each restroom structure. Look for them or you might drive by. The carts with the GPS made yardages easy and let me know accurately how bad I was hitting the ball. The condition was good for the amount of stress the course gets with the heat and rain. Rough was that and the traps were true hazards. Lots of water so bring a few sleeves of balls. A good test but it is a monster.

I definitely disagree with reviews who have said the staff is unfriendly. They staff is definitely welcoming and the price is right. I play there, usually 2 days a week, and have discovered something interesting. If you read Geoff Shackelford's book, Golf Course Architecture For Normal People, you'll discover this course, by virtue of the design, is actually great. We describe it as a British style golf course with palm trees. The course is certainly not PGA Tour length, but the holes each offer a special challenge. We find it a lot of fun to play from different tees to make some holes easier or harder. Sometimes, we'll rotate red, to gold to white. The course design is very memorable and honestly, a course you could play every day and not get tired of it.

The staff was unhelpful and did not seem interested in resolving the issue. For the amount we paid, we expected much better service. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place.

HIGHLY Recommend Mike Simmons!…read more I held back on reviewing and waited until I was good amount of lessons in to give a thorough review. But cutting to the chase: Get lessons with the guy! You won't regret it! The long version: My father + I have been golfing together since I was super young. (He secretly hoped for me to be the next Michelle Wie, pfft) But it was always casual and my father has always been my "coach". Fast forward to now, after a longggg hiatus I'm now in my late twenties and about to move to the Carolinas where there is a myriad of golf courses (like Florida). I really wanted to be more than just "decent" or "okay" and hold my own out there. Lets just say that I wanted to graduate from schooling everyone at Mini Golf and get ready for the Big Leagues ;D That's where Mike Simmons comes in. My father found Mike and we immediately set lessons together as a Father-Daughter activity together before I move away. We bought a package from Mike that includes 6 Lessons and round of Golf on the course. Despite having some experience and my father being his own self proclaimed guru (with clubs straight from 1970s and never updated, mind you) Mike is able to break down the fundamentals of the game in a very thorough and concrete way. (And convinced my father to update his clubs! haha) Our lessons consisted of learning all aspects of the game. History, foundation, long range, short game. And all the little details in between from your stance, how to properly how the club, lining your shot. Nothing is missed. At times it may seem like information overload but once you hit that sweet shot you'll have that "Ah-ha!" moment that only Mike could provide. If I wasn't leaving in a couple of months I would definitely get more lessons from him. A++
