For Valentine's Day, my husband ordered my flowers from here. The flowers were delivered to my office and they were huge! The roses were fresh and you can still see rain drops of water on the pedals. It's been over a week since I've received these flowers and they still look the same as when I received them. I asked my husband whether he paid more for these flowers because they looked so much bigger than the ones I'm used to getting from him and he said "no". Wow, such a great deal (even though I don't know how much he paid for them)! The only thing I disliked about the flowers was that the arrangement of the roses were off. I decided to send a birthday flower/balloons to my hubby. I called this number (since this place has 5 stars) and spoke to a woman who sounded like she was in a rush. Each time I spoke telling her what I wanted, she kept cutting me off as if she was rushing to get off the phone. I asked if this place carried balloons , she hurriedly answered "no" so I just hung up on her. I'm sure you'll get a better service if you walk in but will be my first and last impression is "take your business elsewere, I'm too busy". That's ok. I gave my business to FTD Members Florist, just down the block who was very accomodating to my request and they also have balloons. read more

I do not recommend this florist!! Norma is not equipped to handle weddings and big events. She promises a whole lot but delivers next to zero. We hired her for our sangeet/ pre wedding cocktails and the wedding at Garre winery too. She changed the decor of the back drop completely and the flowers were scanty in the center pieces. The chair sashes material was not the same across, as promised to us. For the wedding at the Garre winery, she gave unimaginable stress, she came 3 hours late!! With the guests walking in the flowers were not even put up on the arbor. Can you imagine, She had the groom running around to get her a ladder to put up the flowers!! The arbor was such a hurried and shabby job , the flowers were off center and missing the trellises on the sides. Because of late appearance, the bridesmaids had to do their picture session with out the flowers and the groomsmen without their boutonnière. The corsage was pretty and the ribbon has a variety of colors. The tail of the flowers is super long and sticks out though so I cut it which was fine. The flowers started browning a couple hours into prom though even though my friends' flowers from different places didn't so I feel like it wasn't as fresh. read more

My friend told me about Normas shop and I went to talk to her about providing decoration for my wedding hall. I wanted the same decoration that my friend got for her wedding, but she gave me a quote that was way too much as compare to what she charged my friend two years for the same decoration. At the end we came with a design that fitted my budget. I told her if she can use Artificial flowers for the centerpieces instead of real ones to cutdown the cost. But she said she owns a flower shop and only provides real flowers. I said OKAY. At the day of the event..She decorated the backdrop with Artificial flowers instead of REAL ones. For the centerpieces that I picked she told me she will put candles around it but the hall all I saw just the centerpieces and no candles around it. read more

I am very disappointed in this business, this is my story. Norma is very disorganized and it showed in my experience. Norma had cancelled once before due to some emergency. We were referred by someone who used this florist for their wedding and so were ready for a good experience. Norma was very hard to get ahold of and yet we were persistent. I finally got another appointment and planned to meet my daughter on a Wednesday. When I scheduled my appointment I left my name and number and confirmed the appt. I drove from South San Jose to Newark and walked in for our 4 o'clock appt. Norma was pleasant and started asking questions about the wedding. She was somewhat distracted and then ask me "When is you wedding"? I told her and she said I have two weddings on that day. I said really? She said she had booked two weddings that morning. I said so you are not available, she said she wasn't. I told her I drove all the way from San Jose to see you. No reaction, no excuse. Very disappointing!!!! The women that I dealt with, did not immediately seem inviting; however, I could tell they were very busy with a large order. The woman in charge was able to help me find what I needed at a reasonable price with very little notice. The women were very flexible on my pick-up time, even though they had a large event to decorate the same time I needed to pick up my order.
