This was the worst burlesque shows I had ever attended. There was no effort made to create any kind of atmosphere in the venue, the sound system didn't even work properly and the venue was freezing. The person presenting the show, I believe his name is Gary Shapiro was not funny just simply rude. Putting the words f**k, masturbating, cocaine or pedophilia just randomly in a sentence is not humor. Most of the music played during the acts had nothing to do with the burlesque era and Prince stripping is NOT SEXY. Most of the girls couldn't dance and the choice of drinks at the bar was simply appalling. Charging $15 to $18 dollars for such crap is outrageous.

The women dancers each portrayed great "characters," and their costumes were very classy and beautiful. We thought the dancing was awesome. A couple of guys provided entertaining comic relief, such as Han Solo stripping to clap-along country music and a cheeky dude in a bunny outfit. Gary Shapiro was naughty but light-hearted. The venue was temporary for the troupe, and it was the kind of atmosphere we expected at 11 pm on Melrose (like a space where bands might play sometimes). I'd already had my cocktail before dinner, so I didn't mind choosing between beer and wine. These folks were obviously dedicated to their art and skilled in it as well. What we got for the price of our tickets was a lot of eye candy and many belly laughs!

We were initially working with a different wedding coordinator and unfortunately had to let her go. We interviewed Lisa and were immediately impressed at the caliber of venues where she had worked and the fact that she had done an event at our reception venue. Lisa was very professional and prompt! She handled everything flawlessly allowing us to worry less about the minor details and focus on other things. Lisa's timeline was very detailed and precise to the minute! She picked up and held our day of items (toasting flutes, cake cutting set, unity sand and glasses), she delivered (and redelivered) welcome baskets, ran the wedding reception very well and allowed us as much control as we wanted, she even mailed in our marriage license for us! She's awesome! But here are two amazing things we didn't expect: 1) At the last moment, due to an oversight prior to hiring Lisa, we needed an extra table linen for our head table. In fact, we needed a satin tiffany blue head table linen late on the day before our wedding--we panicked! But Lisa came to our rescue! She called her connections and arranged for the table linen to be delivered on the next day in time for our wedding! 2) We had an issue with our hotel charging us for an extra night, because our family checked out a day early. Lisa handled this matter, chasing down and following up with the hotel until they resolved the issue, giving us a refund for the unused night!
