Prepare to wake when the sun comes up as the window shades do not begin to block the rising sun, at least in the bedrooms in the inn. The breakfast was delicious, though heavy on carbs. I hope they consider offering some sort of egg with all breakfasts. Pancakes and French toast are good for breakfast but a side of a protein (other than sausage) should be part of all breakfasts. They have water out all day but it is always room temperature, not very refreshing on a hot day.

Steer clear Enter Cobblestone. Looks and smells clean. Full bar attached to front desk and open till 2am. Great little "convenience store" with a pizza oven, snacks, and sundries attached to the other side of the front desk - open 24 hours. Business center. Very nice gym (didn't use it, but looked well appointed with a few machines and flat screen attached to wall). And clean room. Did I mention the place is clean? After our last experience at Landmark, Cobblestone feels like a 5 star upgrade. The morning breakfast had hot hotel pans with scrambled eggs and sausage that looked like sliced Spam but wasn't salty at all and tasted like ham. A hot waffle iron, assorted pastries, bread, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and milk. Quite a nice selection compared to many "Continental breakfasts" in a lot of places. I was impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Sadly, I didn't get names of the 2 morning staff, but, WOW! The manager mentioned she'd been managing here for about 2 years and the housekeeper was learning the front desk position duties as well. Customer service like this is getting rarer and rarer. Phenomenal. Cobblestone Inn and Suites is our new go-to when we're back in town to visit family. Well worth the rates they charge. Thanks again for a fantastic stay! We'll be back.

The hotel was sparkling clean, the internet was fast, the bed was super comfortable, and it was nice that you could buy a beer at the hotel. What really made the visit shine, however, was the manager Amanda. She was clearly working hard to deliver excellent customer service with a great attitude. She was so welcoming and friendly, and she went above and beyond for customer service. I will definitely stay here again!

The lightning in both the hallways and the rooms themselves is pretty bad. It felt dingy and dark everywhere we went. The rooms are quite spacious though, and though it was clean, it did still feel a bit musty. Booking was interesting because online the site said they were fully booked, but I figured I'd call in case. Low and behold calling did the trick. However when I called back the day-of-arrival for early check-in, it was soo tough to get through to the front desk. Nothing was terrible my any means, but I don't think I'd look to rebook here.

Heather asked if the maintenance man could look at it. Mike heard the loud whine and suggested I get another room. Heather gave me an upgrade and I was totally satisfied. Both were very friendly and helpful. The room had a great whirlpool bath and fireplace. The room was clean, the WiFi worked well and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok, nothing special, breads and muffins were pre-packaged or out of the freezer, but the coffee was good. Complimentary coffee and cookies are always available in the lobby.

The rooms and bathrooms are large, VERY clean, and there is a fridge/microwave/coffee bar upstairs which guests can use at any time. The hostess, Judy, is a culinary marvel. Not only did Judy make AMAZING breakfasts every morning, but she remembered what I liked and disliked and made new dishes each morning based on my personal preferences. Besides the incredible food (which is reason enough to stay here, believe me - there were frequently homemade sweets available in the dining area perfect for an after-dinner snack), Judy is the most accommodating hostess you will ever encounter. She let me leave my bike at her house when I would travel home on the weekends, she would make to-go breakfast bundles when I had to go in for work early, AND she would even get up early to heat up the breakfast before I left (which would sometimes be as early as 3am). An added bonus is her adorable cat, Bob. Needless to say, The Lindsay House is more than a quaint stop on one's journey. It's a destination in and of itself.

Our campsite was nice and we had a nice view of Bear Lake. The main restrooms were cleaned constantly throughout the day and were well stocked. There's a nice big playground in the middle of the campground that my niece just loved. There were a lot of families there and I get the sense that this could be a place where people just love to come; it certainly seemed that way based off how many people had seasonal sites super decked out. The cons: The sites are all identified with their numbers, but I think they could be a little more clear. Both myself and my in-laws accidently set up in the wrong sites because of the way that we were instructed to drive in; the identification markers were after where our site was. So we had to be one spot over from where we were, but we actually both accidently set up in the sites just after where we should have been. It really wasn't a big deal and clearly it was our own fault, but it could have been more clear. We were excited to maybe play on the mini-golf course, but there was a lot of debris on the greens and the grass all around it really needed to be cut. The decorations around the grounds too look like they could use some TLC. We checked out the (tiny, super tiny) sandy beach area and thought it could have been cleaned up a bit. We went down right away one morning and found garbage on the ground & random dirty beach towels where towels don't belong. Later in the afternoon when we went back down there to see what was going on we saw the same pieces of garbage and towels in the same spots. We thought surely by then someone from the staff would have come cleaned it up. We were looking forward to getting in the water and possibly renting some of the water equipment they had at the campground (which would have been so nice), but we heard from several people there was swimmers itch in the water. What a letdown! Not the campgrounds fault at all, but our experience was less than what it could have been. I think this place has potential to be really fantastic, just needs a little more TLC.

The generic chain hotels didn't appeal to me, so I looked to Airbnb for something better. Enter Walker House. From the beginning, my communication with the owner Mike was prompt, courteous, and professional. When I arrived, he was there to greet me, and my private room was cozy, clean, and included some refreshments -- a welcome creature comfort after the 10 hour drive! I shared a bathroom, but it was clean, spacious, and had more than enough clean white towels for myself and the other guests utilizing it. Not to be outdone, Sue made a delicious breakfast in the morning. I enjoyed fresh fruit salad, eggs Benedict, and homemade blueberry muffins. I was super stuffed by the end, but didn't mind a bit! The cherry on top was when I had to leave early to drive home (to the tune of 5 AM). Mike woke up and made me a to-go cup of coffee for the road. I told all the wedding guests about my awesome accommodations and got more than a few envious comments :-) If you're in the area and need a place to stay, look no further than Walker House!
