After waiting a few months to save up the money to cover my deductible, I was fortunate enough to be referred to The Body Shop in Decatur, AL.. I mention the frustration and time it took to save the money because it all figures into my expectations for the repair. At that point, I wasn't asking for much more than a legit repair job that would allow me to put this whole thing behind me. What I experienced exceeded my most optimistic expectations. I arrived at The Body Shop, talked with a man named Mr. Murray, and received an estimate within 10 minutes of my arrival. He was very friendly and the estimate was accurate. He worked directly with my insurance company (ALFA) and was nice enough to call me the day of the repairs to ensure I had an understanding of my deductible and what amount I would be responsible for. All of that was great but it's not the reason I got on here to write this positive review. I write this review because of all the extra care they gave my car beyond the dent. I showed up to find my car washed and the insides looking clean (looking better than the day I bought it). The bumper looked amazing but I noticed they had taken the time to repair a portion along the inside of the wheel cover where the plastic cover had previously been bulged out. My rims were cleaned and looked brand new (I had bought this car used and the original owners had let things get pretty rough with the rims. I tried to put some muscle into cleaning them in the past with no luck). All I'm saying is this; getting in an accident is frustrating. The people at The Body Shop in Decatur do it the right way. They treat you right, shoot you straight, and go the extra mile to get your car looking as good as possible. I just couldn't have asked for a better experience.

It was for two small chips on the windshield that had tiny cracks starting. They were both less than 1/8 of an inch. When the technician brought the car back to us he was very nervous. He said he wasn't happy with the outcome of his work. One of the chips was now cracked about 1.5 inches and the other was cracked about 2.5 inches. He also tried to fix a surface chip and it was now cracked about 3.5 inches. He said he stopped after they started cracking. Why try it 3 times then? Next he said do you want to come inside and schedule a windshield replacement? We contacted our insurance about this and they said Safelite said they only tried to repair 2 places not 3. Now we have to pay to get a new windshield and it definitely will not be with Safelite. They took an easy fix and destroyed our windshield. I would not recommend the Madison Alabama Safelite. My wife called the Madison Safelite this morning and spoke to the manager. The manager was not helpful and was rude. They still denied trying to fix the third place and causing a large crack where there was just a chip! Also the technician left black goo on the inside of the windshield where he cracked the windshield. Sorry the photos are not clear but you can see the cracks.

Their price was so ridiculously expensive/high I decided to reach out to other window companies. I was blessed to find Your Home Window Company. First, Your Home Window was a fraction of the costs of Renewal, but that is not the best reason to select Your Home Window Company. The quality of the installation performed by Your Home Window turned out to be far superior to Renewal. They correctly sealed my windows, including properly foaming and caulking (inside and out). Additionally, they cleaned up daily (inside and outside), including vacuuming all area where they worked inside my house. Bottom line, the products, service, and installation techniques are far superior to other replacement window companies.
